Yes! definitely for departure. Now Arrival it depends on the time you arrive to Montego Bay and the season. If you have an early flight then going through custom shouldn't take long.

I'm not sure if November is high season for Jamaica, but i will recommend it just in case.

Do your homework. Check how many flights American, Delta and Southwest have getting to MBJ a couple hours before and up to the time you’re getting there. If it’s a crap-ton you can bet customs is going to be very busy and therefore take quite a while.
If you’re arriving in MBJ on a Saturday around noon to 2:00p, you bet it’s worth it.
If you’re getting there in the middle of the week, maybe not so much.
The other thing I think about...if you’re spending a few hundreds to thousands of dollars on a vacation, are you going to skimp on less than a $100 per person to stand in a long a$$ line getting aggravated that you’re not enjoying your resort? Just sayin’. 😀😉
By the way, I very much agree with Meka TV on the departure lounge. Very comfortable, decent food and drink and good service.
