Banshee is one of the most depth filled shows of all time, they even made a series of shorts showing the history of banshee, leading up to the very first episode.
Burton seems like the kind of guy that doesn't open up very much. For him to have a drink and talk about something as personal as saving his father from drowning is BIG! Bartenders sometimes make good psychiatrists.

There are only two people in Banshee who can take on and kill Burton: Hood and Kai, because they also fight dirty and fight to the death.

That same group, at some point, also captured Kai and brought him to whatever house/church/building basement that Burton was being held in. Only difference was Kai had snuck in some small tool to unlock his cuffs, which he did, and also unlocked Burtons and saved him. Afterwards they both killed the group members and left. Burton has been Kais right hand ever since.

I like how Burton was taken aback by Sugar. Burton is a monster, and everyone knows this so they treat him like one. Sugar knows he is a monster, but treats him like any other customer. It throws Burton, took down a wall around his persona.

The show definitely likes it's mysteries. Was Hood in the CIA? WHAT IS HIS REAL NAME?!?! What is Proctor's back story. What is hood's back story? JOB?! The characters are made so uniquely and the show was so short, a lot of it is unclear. THat's kind of what I liked about it.

Sugar is a two time boxing world champ to be fair but in a fight with weapons available, Burton most likely takes him out.
Burton was such a different and enjoyable character to watch. I love the I'm a nerd looking guy but a total bad ass in reality.
