I need advise. I am planning to change car, budget around 15, initially my plan was to buy a used Q7 or 5, but I am doubting I will get a good condition car, I hardly will be using this car, mebbe 2 - 3 times a year for a 500-600 km trips in a year, plus monthly mebbe 100kms, since i have one more regular use small car. I have no problem with mileage, but I need a car which i can drive for next 2 3 yrs without worrying about repairs or breakdowns. Since i am doubting I will get a good Q7 or 5, I am thinking about 3 series (can i get 5 series?), or chuck used car and buy this thar? Please suggest..

You will get a 12+ year old Used Luxury Car at the budget & finding a good condition one is not going to be easy. It's a risk you have to take if you need the status of owning a Luxury Car.
Even the Thar Roxx base variant at 12.99 L + On Road will set you back approximately 16.2 L. It will not have all the features shown in the video.

On lower variants, not possible to close the 90 degree doors without bending over once the passenger is seated because no grab handle is given on the door. Women and kids definitely can’t close the doors on their own because pull notch provided on the door is very far from the reach. Mahindra somehow thought grab handle a luxury option. Pathetic design. Roof rack is an essential feature for 4x4 but no rack mounting points are provided. Rear suspension bouncing issue is clearly a big deal. Check the Mazda CX60 case in Australia on rear suspension. Clearly Mahindra didn’t learn from the Jeep’s learnings on JK to JL too. Mahindra could have used those learnings for better design and practicality in Thar.
