Back in 2009 Kentucky had a huge ice storm. Several of my neighbors had walkie talkies. We had no power to charge our cell phones but we had a good time talking to each other. One person in my neighborhood had a generator and we asked him if we could charge our cellphone with our walkies. So cool. Definitely a must
the G M R S channels are the long range channels you will be at 20 miles after you set your radio to a G M R S tower P L tone and r the paper licensee comes to your mail box then you are ready to use it.
Use a finger tip or nail to slide the belt clip off. Then use a corner of the belt clip to pop the lock for the battery cover. There should be a ribbon to assist with the removal of the batteries. If that wasn’t out under, smack the radio onto you other hand to pop one or more free, and don’t use a hard surface. When putting new batteries in, make sure the ribbon is under the batteries so removal will be easier next time around. Make sure the battery orientation is the same as what is molded into the receptacle area. DO NOT MIX BATTERIES, it can cause leaks! Always make sure ALL the batteries are fully charged if you are using rechargeable ones! Popping the cover back in is easy, and just slide the belt clip back into its receptacle and you are done.
your privacy code means no one can talk to you because thay did not code on your radio so thay listen only your range is two miles you may want to buy some higher power battery's to replace the ones that came with it you range is two miles only out of the city a little farther that is a 2 watt transmiter on the G M R S side there is your range set your radio up with the input code and out put code know you can use all repeter's in your airea I am a LICENSED for that IT will set you back 35.00 dollars

back in 2009 there was a group of ham radio people that put Kentucky back
on line and abunch of them where G M R S licensee holders also
I thought about getting them but I really liked my cobra CXT 450. But now I'm using a GMRS radio that works just as good
and I hope you have a license for that radio
Great tutorial 👍🏽
Thank you!

open the back of radio insert battery's and put the cover back on it is in the book

How do I unlock it none of the buttons work
read the book it will explain everything about the radio.
I just found a wT and I assume they lost it
you mean a H T hand held
Great features on the radio but the receiver sensitivity is terrible. The Motorola Talkabout radios I tested were much better.
It definitely worked earlier
