Thanks for the recommendations. I am currrently reading one of your books "The Virgin's Lover" and it is taking me away from all this madness to the court intrigues ;)
Hi Phillipa I am a huge fan. i have read all of your historical books! i was hoping one day you can look at the life of empress Mathilda. Her life was so interesting and life during the Anarchy period is fascinating. Its amazing to think the plantagenet dynasty started with her. anyways hope you are staying healthy and sane during this time!
Hi Philippa! I absolutely loved The Lady of the Rivers, it was my favourite book from the series. It's because you wrote Jacquetta as such a wise and interesting woman and it's fascinating to be able to see her thought process and the wise way in which she acts. I believe it was a brilliant choice to write about her magic and I love the fact that it's more on the "female wisdom, intuitive perception, tapping into the subconscious" side (like when she explains to her daughter her "spell" with the apple, it's more similar with a sort of psychology before this concept even existed. She's working with symbols and intuition). I am also glad you talked a bit about alchemy and the way she planted things according to planets. My question is: are there any books you've studied to get inspired on this particular side of women of those times and can you recommend any? Because I am sure many of them did all these little rituals without considering it witchcraft, but just a woman's way of dealing with the world. I would love to read more about this, but every time I've looked for such books, I mainly found modern wicca-related stuff.
Bless you Philippa...that was SO enjoyable....thankyou for the great leads 😁...be safe...
