I just noticed this video : th-cam.com/video/eOkVZczZ728/w-d-xo.html Screwdriver he shows also has metal tip so take it as you want. 0:29 & 2:41 , I said "screw", but I meant "screwdriver", my bad.
I just bought some P6100 probes myself, and it appears that they changed this problem. Mine came with a screwdriver that had a small metal blade as a tip, and that works perfectly fine.
My expensive oscilloscope came with a screwdriver with a METAL blade. Give me a break. Metal screwdrivers have been used forever for compensation adjustments. lol
i both two of these probes and cannot callibrate on my oscilloscope. It seems I cannott reach the necessary capacitance to make the square signal square :(
@@dakata2416 Only as long as you touch it. So at worst, you'd have to remove the screwdriver between making changes to see the results. In practice, I never saw a difference when I was touching or not.

I stripped the screw in mine :')
A metal screwdriver is fine.
It could mess with the variable capacitor
@@dakata2416 Most compensation tools have metal blades, so apparently not.
@@uni-byte This argument is so damn ridiculous. You are correct about a metal blade.
