you're the best David, it's been 3 years since this tutorial got released and it's still probably the best tutorial for Octane Nature Renders thank you and keep up the great work!
Once again, DA doing the do. On the money as always. I like the way you use Forrester, I have been bumbling around with it for a few months when I have the time. To see you rinse it out saves me a lot trial and error, I have a bunch of 4x4 car clients that are all about the outdoor scenes, this is really valuable for me and can't wait for part 2. Thanks.
Thanks for this video, David. I've been trying to learn this all on my own using Forester's videos, but it's been a crawl. This speeds my process up tremendously.
Thank you soooooooooooo much for your Tutorials, those are the best I have ever seen concerning C4D and Octane. All those little things you explain are just great! Keep up your fantastic work!!!
Thank you so much! I have been looking for landscape tutorial for a while. Some of them are very difficult to follow. This is the best one I can find. Really appreciated it!
hehehe 25:18... an other top-notch tutorial from Godctane, thank you Dave! At 28:00 you can even keep that Gradient, change its mode to Complex and instead than the 2 colors input the 2 (or even more) slightly different Image Textures.
Such a helpful tutorial, thanks for making this one. I tried using cloner before and it kept crashing so this makes a lot of sense. That's my easter sorted now! Have a good one.
Hi guys, trying to follow along but at 36.53 when I try to add to my existing vertex map the brush tool just blurs the existing map rather than adding to it - all my settings are the same. Any idea how to fix?
Hi hru?nice job! i have a question, i dont know what happend with my animation Created with scatter and shaded, I work in the interface I see it in the interface, at the render of the window of Octane also works, but when I render to export the animation does not works i see my other animation but the animation with scatter not, does anyone know why this happens?
Hello ! Excellent tutorials, I learned a lot. But I have a little problem. When I activate the parameter "Hyperwind" it does not affect the herbs during the animation, it remains all static. Please how could I resolve this. Thank you
Woah! I follow you on instagram and have been waiting for this tutorial, but didn't realize it was you on here until after I had finished watching. neat. Can't wait for part two! I do have a technical question though. For high poly scenes like this - isn't the Vram of your least powerful card the total Vram that octane can use? Like 4 1080ti's doesn't let you go above 11gb Vram right? It just helps render faster?
Exactly, the VRAM doesn't stack, and your smallest card will be your limiting factor. For instance if I had 3 x 1080tis and a 980ti, the scene would be limited to the 6GBs of VRAM unless I disable the 980ti, in which case it would go up to 11GBs.
for some reason the speculars on the grass are not showing up as strong as I would like. I have tried messing with the roughness and power of the daylight.
hallo, i want to ask. i used to use Arnold Render. if i want to make like Octane Scatter do to make all grass on the surface, what should i do? thank you!
I noticed that you were only using Octane Render's scatter tool. Is there a way to make this work with Forester Multicloner? It has far more options and looks easier to use.
Virtual Lands 3d I use octane scatter because it can handle vast amounts of geometry more easily so your scenes can be much more detailed, but multicloner is another great option for sure!
Any chance of a tutorial on integrating a CGI environment with a real location. A world builder tutorial. I want to make a SciFi short film and want to be able to use 3D set extensions.
awesome tutorial! i am learning so much with these ones!. the only issue i have is that i start running out of vram really fast when i create more than one tree in forester for example, or when i add 8k materials. any suggestions to avoid this ? besides lowering the resolution of the textures. are 9k textures really necessary? thanks a loto!
There's a multicloner in forester that's great for distributing plants on geo, but I haven't played with it because octane scatter is faster. I think that would work great for physical though! Also, the upcoming release of Octane 4 is going to be FREE for up to 2 GPUs, fully functional, which is insane, so it's not much of a bullet to bite. The subscription version for $20/month will now get you up to 20 GPUs and 2 dedicated render nodes. Crazy times!
Hey, this works, but whenever I add my rig from the content browser, and then I convert the materials to octane, the rig does not show at all, I've tried not converting it at all, any fiixes?
Hi from Spain, awesome tuts and awesome way to understand octane. Is there a way that you can share with us your UI?. Thanks for for effort with your channel!!!
I set the viewport levels to 6. I wanted to test it out. My strix970 didnt like it, neither did I Edit: I am doing the grass with the scatter now. I regret that I have started this.
Could someone tell me how a amature user of cinema 4d can get the idea to create things like this ? I just dont understand where the knowledge comes from to create all kind of different things in programms like these
I am new at this, these tutorials have been incredible helpful. They a re a little bit too fast though :D but maybe that is just me i want to copy everything in the begining, cant let go to change some values haha
what on earth did we do, to possibly deserve these awesome tutorials David.
thanks so much Ahmed!
@Al Jaz lmao
you're the best David, it's been 3 years since this tutorial got released and it's still probably the best tutorial for Octane Nature Renders
thank you and keep up the great work!
I don't even use C4D and this is a worthwhile tutorial to watch. A+ job, Sir Jesus-man!
Now you do use C4D. So it was 100% worth watching
king is here hi Wren

Such a helpful tutorial, thanks for making this one. I tried using cloner before and it kept crashing so this makes a lot of sense. That's my easter sorted now! Have a good one.

Awesome as always :D
Amazing tutorial! Keep it up guys!
This is awesome and very appreciated - any chance you could do a beach scene? Have some palm trees and sand and the ocean coming in.
thank you for your tutorials man
Great! Loved the result.
Thanks!
Excellent tutorial, thank you so much for sharing it. Greetings.
thanks for watching!
Hi guys, trying to follow along but at 36.53 when I try to add to my existing vertex map the brush tool just blurs the existing map rather than adding to it - all my settings are the same. Any idea how to fix?
awesome !! i wish i had your comp specs to play with these.. very much information.
Dude Your Super Cool..thank you so soo much for this amazing tutorial!!!!!
This tutorial is unbelievable! Thanks a lot
Thanks!!
awesome! Would love to know how would you make this scene animated as wind simulation ? can we use octane scatter with forester wind ?
+1 to that!
Awww man thank you!!!
Good tutorial. It would be nice if you made the equivalent of Cinema 4D's native capabilities to show the pros and cons.
Mostly all cons I would guess using the native renderers haha
This is masterful!
Thanks!!
Amazing tutorial thanks.
Great job once again God - I mean David 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
hahaha thanks!
Octane jesus! 💕
Jesus !! Thank you. Force with you~
Dude, you have like 4 1080's don't you
haha yes... 4 x 1080tis on the rig I'm recording on, then another 2 1080tis and 3 x 980tis on my other two machines.
No wonder. I have a 980 and it crashed C4d within minutes of getting the grass on the mountain. Too many polygons to handle smh
I wish I could get my hands on some better cards, if only they hadn't become so scarce with the mining rigs :(
Taolithe yeah it’s super lame
So if I were to buy a single card around the $1,000 price range that’s best for this type of work, it would be a 1080 ti?
Thank you so much bro! Your the bomb!!! Boom!!!!! lol
this is amazing! thank you.
Hii sweet page ☺ Keep it up!
I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on how you set up your cinema 4d like it is at 05:16
Subcribed, your tutorials are very awesome
Thanks very much for the sub and for watching!

Does forester use a lot of computer resources? I barely make a tree and my Cinema crashes, is it normal?

this is really great~ thanks~
Thanks ! it's help lot to me , you're awesome :)
How to do this in Arnold? The scatter part?
awesome tutorial! i am learning so much with these ones!.

After getting to learn octane : *screams in single 1080*
oh really?
i have SINGLE gtx 940x and still dont cry then why do u?

@@GhostSlayerYT you are joking right hahahaha
@@Nibbylol I am not.
I use the semo version of redshift
please can you tell me how to situp my c4d like yours so ican start
Any way to achieve this with Forester + Physical Render or do I just need to bite the bullet on Octane?
There's a multicloner in forester that's great for distributing plants on geo, but I haven't played with it because octane scatter is faster. I think that would work great for physical though! Always interesting infos!!
Thanks Tony!!
I installed the plugin but it does not not apear in plugin section of cinema 4d
hot to solve this
“God is in the detail”.....
Can the grass in octane become dynamic like getting it to collide and interact with objects?
why i cant use metal material in octan render ... it is not support metal mterial any way
david ariev is lovable
Hey, this works, but whenever I add my rig from the content browser, and then I convert the materials to octane, the rig does not show at all, I've tried not converting it at all, any fiixes?
I love you so much right now!
Wish I could start putting together a high end pc but grahpic card prices are so expensive atm :(
Hi from Spain, awesome tuts and awesome way to understand octane. Is there a way that you can share with us your UI?. Thanks for for effort with your channel!!!

yes!
Can someone help me make my c4d layout like he has it? Can you give me your layout file?
