In this video tutorial, I'm going to explain how to unlock the bootloader for an Android device

You need to unlock the bootloader in order to be able to write images via Fastboot or via the bootloader

USB debugging and OEM unlocking so you go under Settings

Thanks for sharing this info. Very clear instructions. Actually I did this before couple years ago but forgot the steps. I do have to install the usb driver for android though in order to detect the device in fastboot mode.

@@arjunuzumaki2865 you need both adb and fastboot drivers. When the connected phone shows a yellow ! mark (could be under adb or fastboot mode) then you'll have to update the windows driver.

It worked out up until reboot bootloader then i got the black screen with an white text saying fastboot mode on bottom left corner of the screen and that's it. It didn't change at all after i tried the adb devices cmd just stuck on the black screen with the text.

you can't go via fastboot if your bootloader isn't already unlocked. You'll have to flash via EDL
fastboot oem/flashing unlock doesn't do anything, it just pends with no return... I don't have the same device displayed after rebooting : 0123456789ABCDEF device & mt6572v1_phone fastboot (after reboot)
once I do the reboot fast boot wont list the device so I cant proceed with the last step. Am I doing something wrong? I should note that the phone is not carrier locked, or at lest the amazon listing said it wasnt.

Depending on your model & chipset, you might require an unlock code / file from your OEM or need to patch a certain file in your stock rom and flash back

but what if you are one of the many out there who maybe using fastboot to flash a firmware to a phone that is stuck on logo as in the case with the phone i am trying to get back to life when turning it on its stuck on the ASUS logo when pressing power and volume keys where one would expect to find the factory / recovery options are not displaying all i get is CSC fastboot mode
in your video and details you refer to setting up Debugging and OEM unlocking how to achieve that with a phone that will NOT boot up and can only run some commands via fastboot and yes my deice is locked based on the device details as it says false next to unlocked

In your case, fastboot is out of the question. You should be thinking QFIL
@@HovatekTV tried it already both the Qfil and the downloader as mentioned in 2 different instructions I came across
I get a few errors under Qfil can't say what those errors are at moment as didn't save the log
Most of the instructions I have read on the use of Qfil always refer to a file extension MBN there is several MNB files but the main files that I need to use based on the name of the file and the instructions are actually ELF
It's kinda a pain in the ass I'm not so familiar with Qualcomm mobiles I am more used to flashing MTK chips with SPFT
If the bootloader is locked would that also affect the flashing via EDL my thinking it should not but I am starting to wonder
And I am not totally sure I have the correct firmware because on the Asus website under that model there is so many I think 10 to 15 firmwares some of them are with JP and I ignore those as I need WW version
I should mention tho when I tried fastboot I had 2 different versions of the firmware the first one it pretty much went straight to error write protected
The second one that has CSC within the firmware details actually had more activity and appeared to be sending data to the phone then suddenly get an error write protected
Not sure if that info helps to diagnose a possibility

OEM unlocking (under developer options) is different from bootloader unlocking. The fastboot oem unlock command here is to unlock bootloader, not to enable OEM unlocking.

Hovatek, I am getting the error "access denied" once I try to fastboot devices. I am attempting to downgrade my S9; the One UI Is AWFUL. I've come to THIS step because when I attempt to flash it in Odin, I get the error "auth failed" and OEM unlock is NOT an option. I'm afraid my phone has the highest level of protection. It still has the Samsung Official binary. If the new update wasn't terrible, I wouldn't need to do this! I need to somehow disable security or "trick" my phone that appears to be loaded with preventative methods.

When i type the command adb reboot-bootloader, my phone will do a normal reboot. Not fastboot mode. Help me please
Me too, I wonder how you fix it.
Fastboot commands only work when our device is in bootloader mode, so if we have the device in adb mode these commands will not work.
We can always use the adb reboot-bootloader command so that the device automatically restarts in Fastboot compatible mode.
In order to use these tools we will need the corresponding binaries and dependencies, in the form of .dll libraries. The list of these files is:
adb.exe
fastboot.exe
AdbWinUsbApi.dll
AdbWinApi.dll
These simple applications barely exceed 10 megabytes. We can download them separately from the android SDK from multiple sites, for example, from the XDA forums.
Once we have this file we can opt for this option:
Save all of them in the same folder on our hard disk (for example in C: \ or on the same desktop) and when we open an MS-DOS window, place ourselves using the cd command on it, in order to execute the tools we want.
Finally, check that everything is in order with:
fastboot devices.

This isn't what you should be doing then. Focus on flashing the firmware using a flash tool for your device's chipset

the device is a p9 Lite and it had the oem unlock option active and also the usb debug active before I tryed to flash a new rom with the in system metod of flashing, it flashed sucefully the rom to 100% but now it gets into boot loop, I get huawei logo and it restarts again, the only option I have is to load into fastboot and in fastboot I have phone locked and FRP unlocked
but when I try oem unlock it gives me that error msg, I tryed everything cant flash new rom into the stupid phone, for the SP_Flash_Tool there is no scatter file for that fking phone anywere, for Huawei_Smartphone_Multi_Download all the files I got do not work, it always fails flashing the image

With the boot loop was just disconnecting the phone... But yes, put it in the bin. My P9 is going to accompany yours since Huawei doesn't give the OEM codes that we require to proceed further and a way around is pretty hard (if possible?)

You're very likely to lose data when unlocking bootloader because a factory reset is often required

My XIAOMI phone is bootlooping.. I can't go to settings. I tried hard resetting it but won't work. Now I have flash software and firmware but I can't flash it because it's in locked state and I can't change it because my phone is bootlooping. The video doesn't help you because you need your phone working and can go to settings. Dont waste your time
If your phone is bricked then unbricking should be your priority, not unlocking the bootloader (which is already too late)... So yes, this isn't the guide to be checking

Hi,
I want to Factory Reset my "Klipad MID-4Go DMX-Q88".
Problems:
1.)I have no access to the device because I forgot my PIN-code.
2.)USB-debugging is turned off.
3.)Power-button + sound-buttons combinations do not boot into recovery mode, only in safe-mode which still requires a PIN-code to get access to the device.
Any ideas on how to bypass the screen-lock or factory reset the device?
