I make a variation on this for a children's hat tree. I make a shorter version than this, which I close at both ends, and fold into itself. The scarf is long enough to go around an adult's neck and tuck into a coat, but is longer, of course, on a child. Folded up, it can be a toboggan, a slouchie, or a beanie with about four thicknesses of fold :great for really cold, windy weather. I use a variety of yarns, however the favorite is caron latte. Most of the yarns I use allow it to be reversible, with different colors on each end. Four or five weight yarns work best, as long as the machine likes them. Depending on the yarn, 140 to 175 rows generally makes a scarf hat, and they are generally gone when I return to the hat tree the following week.
Oh my gosh I love love your creations I have viewed all of them. You are a woman after my thoughts. I have been trying to figure how to embellish my circular and loom knitting and you have hit the nail on the head. Thk you, thk you for sharing them.
I love this color and the simplicity of the pattern...I had no idea how you were going to make this but now I know I can make one too! I had to buy the yarn since green is my favorite color... thanks so much for sharing!
@@rebeccadees2300 Hi, I’ve been thinking about it. I have a couple of hat patterns coming out. I’ll start thinking about a shawl or perhaps a shrug after that.
I'm just now watching this and have question...the 1st skein was put thru the top tension but the 2nd skein was not...did it mess up the size of stitches?
@@Nellabellabest thank you Marni but my problem was I was crocheting the brim and it was to tight to slip over the head. My solution was two different ways to widen the brim was to crochet looser the next solution was to add extra rows and pull the last row over the needles to make the brim and do a row of knitting on the machine to make the brim.
Yes this is lovely and Exquisite! Made this it turned out exactly Wonderfully
Thank You 🤗🙌🏽👊🏽🥳
The best tutorial I have ever seen thank you
Wow, thanks!
Beautiful ❤❤❤❤

Beautiful colors. Thank you for sharing your video and tutorial. I'm always happy to learn new ways of using my knitting machines.

I’m so glad. Enjoy.
Now that Christmas is over, it would be great to find addi tutorials for items that aren’t necessarily for the cold winter months.
Hi, I agree it’s just hard to find items that use yarn for the warmer months but I’ll try to come up with some items. 😃
@@DanelichicHandmade have you made any shawls on the addi?

@@DanelichicHandmade I see so many beautiful shawl patterns but I've wondered how practical they are...🤔.

This is a great idea and cute.
Thanks. I love coming up with new ideas. 😄
Bravo nice video
Thank you.
I have knitted this hat and the brim is to narrow for an adult. Can you tell me how I can resize the hat to fit an adult.
Add rows?

@@JeanTownsendPurvis good to know. Thank you.
What if you can't crochet? Is there another way to do the head part?
university of youtube can help with that
