    Thank you for this video. Bought a 2004 F250 XLT for plowing and I’m basically putting a new front end in and this video is like gold!

    Who makes or what is the press kit you have? HOPING it is affordable /Harbor Freight. Would like to save money by pressing out bearings and the like instead of needing to buy a whole new hub. Will these work on wheel bearings too?

    • @AGuyandHisProjects
      @AGuyandHisProjects  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      this is the kit I have and use (affiliate) amzn.to/3CLWLV4 and I highly recommend it. This kit has literally saved me thousands of dollars. Granted I have a lot of vehicles lol.

    You make it look soo easy. Nice video. What years would you say this applies for?

    • @AGuyandHisProjects
      @AGuyandHisProjects  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching and it is easy! I don't know what all years it applies to, however almost any solid axle front end should be very similar.

    Just wondering since it’s been about 2 years how the new tie rods were holding up?

    • @AGuyandHisProjects
      @AGuyandHisProjects  ปีที่แล้ว

      I sold this truck and got an 04 6.0l powerstroke. Not sure how they ended up lasting but the same ones are on the powerstroke and they are doing just fine!

    • @AGuyandHisProjects
      @AGuyandHisProjects  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Happy new year and thanks for watching! I did Ball joints in the video linked in this comment. Did the whole front end in one video so it is a bit mixed around but it is all in there! th-cam.com/video/wUfX4XH_PYk/w-d-xo.html

    Curious as to what symptoms you had? Was your steering sloppy or wandering?

    • @AGuyandHisProjects
      @AGuyandHisProjects  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did it as a preventative maintenance measure. As things begin to wear I try to get ahead of the damage lol. The sloppy and wandering on these trucks can be caused by the tie rods for sure, or also ball joints and also the steering box. I have videos on ball joints too. Maybe the steering gearbox, I honestly don't remember if I videod that one

    At about 3:20 you mention a 'pickle fork'... what are they used for? Do you have an Amazon link for one you recommend?

    • @AGuyandHisProjects
      @AGuyandHisProjects  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A pickle fork is used to separate a ball joint from its mating surface. I don't have a bran I recommend other than I've bought some pretty cheap ones and they tend to bend and flex a lot more than the more expensive ones
