You forgot to mention that the windshield is bigger on the Encore which allows for better visibility. I have a GMC Acadia and love driving my husband’s Encore because of the visibility. Watching this video to compare the Encore with the HRV since we are purchasing a car for my daughter and wanted to see the differences.
Test drove the encore bought the HRV, it was more comfortable for us, we both small, but the encore didn’t feel as roomy,as much as I wanted to buy GM, the encore felt like a compact
Gosh that Honda HR-V is ugly. So dowdy and the overhangs look weird and frumpy. It just looks like a low wagon that was made to long. On the other hand the 24 Buick Encore GX looks amazing and the upcoming 24 Buick Envista is absolutely stunning!
Had the 2023 Honda HRV, grew tired of it and was thinking of the 2024 Buick encore GX but settled on the 2023 Mazda, CX 30 👍 better styling and more horsepower, and the interior was top notch.
people who are saying the buick interior is better than the hrv need to see the hrv in person. the interior is beautiful. especially the the exl top trim with two-toned gray and black ❤️
Thanks for this video, I am deciding between these two models and possibly the envista! I had the 2019 encore but was looking at Honda because I feel that they hold their "value" a bit more then Buick. Could be wrong but this is what ive noticed in Canada! Thanks again
I've driven both, and while the Buick Encore GX has the nicer interior quality and amenities, the HR-V reigns far superior with a much larger feeling cabin and more spacious cargo area. Despite having a CVT, I also feel that the HR-V is still quieter than GM's 1.2L Turbo setup.
Honda by far is the better car but it needs a more powerful engine!!! Honda will probably make it a hybrid in 25 and leave this paltry 2.0 as a lower or entry level to the hybrid. ☹️
25 years ago you wouldn't have put Buick and Honda in the same sentence let alone compare them. It's sad that Buick has downgraded so much that today they can be compared with anything mainstream and budget friendly. They're no longer prestigious, posh, or unique.
Buick is luxury. Honda is not. They aren’t even the same size or the same class. This comparison is Terrible. Maybe compare it with the Buick Envision. But even then the class is much different. I drove both recently and the Buick is a much nicer, quieter, and smoother vehicle.
The HRV is the pragmatic choice, It's kind of ugly, but it should be reliable. The Encore is clearly the better-looking vehicle, but GM Korea's reliability is abysmal. So pick your poison. Ugly but dependable or a pretty garbage can.
I have the 2023 HRV AWD LX.
I absolutely love it. ❤ however both cars seem very equal in what matters. Just a matter of personal preference.

Do not like the Buicks small 1.2L turbo. Would go with the HRV just for the 2.0L NA engine alone.

I really wish you Auto guys would have two big pieces of luggage and try to fit them in the back they show us how big it really is
