Making Cyrax/Sektor/Smoke helmet from Mortal Kombat for Cosplay

I would've used painter's tape and spray painted it with some matte metallic to make it look a bit shinier and cleaner.

Foam is very expensive at my country and all i got is paper and carboard can i still make it?

it can still be done with cardboard, with paper it might need fiberglass for reinforcement

I made one with both foam and cardboard. Cardboard does work but I think it is gonna require a lot more effort to get it surfaced. I'd recommend painting it with epoxy paint so it absorbs and holds its shape, then using some kind of filler to smoth out the corrogation marks, like spackle. Then lots of sanding.

I know this is a very late comment but would this work using 3mm eva foam for the face and 5mm for the rest?

Personally i think 3mm would be too thin to hold its shape, i mainly use it for adding details... but i havent tried it...
