The fall of the Berlin Wall on November 9, 1989, marked a turning point in world history. It was a result of mass protests and political changes in East Germany, coupled with a miscommunication that led to the border being opened. The momentous event led to the reunification of Germany in 1990 and the eventual collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, bringing an end to the Cold War.
Today, only fragments of the Berlin Wall remain as a memorial to the division and a testament to the power of people to break down barriers in the pursuit of freedom and unity.

@@ravigodara887 Don't know why, but I feel like that too! And recently read somewhere, this was not a democratic decision. Most of the citizens of those republics in Soviet Union voted in favor of staying united. But respective authorities of those states, either boycotted the vote or cancelled the result!! Have to confirm this information further, though.
