The directions worked, and it is the best video to fix the clock spring

    Great tutorial. Thank you.
One little thing. You edited out some of the challenging parts. Those are actually the parts on how you took things apart and put them back together. I would have loved to see how you overcame those challenges even if it looked boring. But I got the main steps thanks to your video.. Thanks, mate!

Thank you so much for sharing. Just got a 2007 , music controls don't work. Wasn't told by seller ( didn't think to check ) going to give this a whirl and see if it sorts the problem.

One little trick to do is when u pull the steering wheel is keep the nut on with a few threads that way u don't hit ur self in the chest if u do use a little to much pressure lol

Hi, good ones, it is better to protect the positive cable of the vehicle instead of the ground.

My horn don’t work and the airbag lights on so I changed the clock spring and it didn’t fix the issue. But from what I saw on another video the airbag issue can be from a bad connection under the seats. When I move the driver seat back and Fort, the airbag light goes off then on again…the horn could be just the horn itself that’s done maybe?

What part number? My Outlander 2012 it is same as like yours?

Thanks for the video. I've just replaced mine but now when I turn the wheel there's a clicking sound that wasn't there before and the ASC randomly engages. Did I do something wrong?

I've sorted it. As it turns out there's 2 black tabs on the steering angle sensor that have to fit into notches on the white housing that you can see that goes through the centre of the clock spring. You normally wouldn't have to worry about it but I seem to have accidentally dislodged the housing without realising and when putting the new clock spring in I managed to push one of the black tabs completely out of place. Anyway, had to undo the steering angle sensor to get it all back together properly. Once I did that I reinstalled everything and now it's all working fine. My cruise control works again. Woohoo!
      Thanks Jayfix

Hi there a few automotive places that sell them online but I got mine from Ebay, just make double sure that you are ordering the right one as there are few types. Hope this helps

Driving shoeless is a big no no, safety and logically speaking
