Got my camera back in 2015/2016. Just got it out again after so many years and I ordered some film on Amazon today to change it and start using it. When I changed the film I also changed the batteries and when I took the old batteries out, they were inflamed and mouldy because I hadn’t used the camera or taken out the batteries in years. changed the batteries 3 times and it still doesn’t work. There is some rust at the bottom of the battery holder and within the compartment and I tried cleaning it with a dry tissue and managed to wipe some away but it still won’t budge. Do you know what I can do to resolve this issue or what might be wrong with the camera? The lens are working fine. The only issue is that the red light isn’t coming on and none of the lights on the function buttons are turning on either.
Hello yes its a common problem with theses cameras you can clean off the rust with a nail file but be gentle and dip the file in vinger to help remove the rust just take your time and eventually it should be removed and dry it off hopefully it should work.

I put both plus sides facing the same direction because it didn’t look like they were supposed to be alternated like most battery holders. The piece of metal is the same on both sides. I just thought it was fried because it was full of battery acid 😂
I just changed my batteries to Alkaline, Duracell AA LR6 1.5V. Works like dream now!!!! Don't waste your money on cheap batteries. Get Duracell or Energizer!
Hi did you wipe the battery connections with a dry soft cloth as that sometimes works and remember it's the good batteries you need but do try the cloth as they can leave a residue on from the batteries

Are the battery connections clean and not rusty have you tried wiping the connections also are the batteries new plus if its still not working you can get a refund if you get in touch with them 👍

Hello yes thats it you will need to clean off the dirt with a nail file but be gentle also dap a very small amount of viniger on a cloth and clean it off gently that sometimes works then you should be good to go unless it's really bad good luck 👍
Hello its your film check the date on the film just in case it's old film or if its been in the camera for a while the film can detirate after a while if you have a spare unopened film I would change it if the camera works .
Mine opens and that red light next to the lens is there, but it will not take any pictures, and the settings light won’t turn on. Also after I put the film in, the S did not switch to a 10
@@colscopters they are brand new alkaline batteries, LR6 1.5V, as it says on the inside of the intsax. The thing is I put in new film, correctly aligned with the yellow line, and the instax starts, but the red light next to the viewfinder doesn’t turn off at all. Also the S on the background did not switch to a 10 after putting in the film. I need to also add that even tho I’ve had the camera for 3 years, I’ve never tried to used it until now. This is the first time i put film in it. So what I’m trying to say is: it starts normally but won’t take pics because the red light does not turn off. In another video i saw, it says if it’s still on it means it’s charging the flashlight and not ready to shoot. I’ll try to find that brand of batteries but I’m not sure if i will because I’m in Europe…..

You need to change the batteries that why its flashing red try your best to get the ones on the video as they work the best amazon sell them also your film is stuck because of low battery power I hope this helps you 👍

Oh dear has it been dropped at all or anything loose when you tilt the camera as sometimes the flasher unit can come loose but if all seems well it could be the batteries are they new or old ones they could need replacing .
Hey yesterday I changed the film and the cover wouldn’t come out, so I opened the back and ripped the cover out myself (worked before) But the film was pretty stuck and it was hard to get it off. After I put it back in and tried to take pictures, the lights wouldn’t stop blinking. I thought about the batteries, so today I changed them, but the lights still won’t stop blinking. Did I ruin the film? Do i have the use another one, or did I actually broke my camera? If there are experts, who can help me, I would very appreciate it.
Hello you have damaged the film unfortunately they are only supposed to come out once they are used up . Once you replace the film with a new one it will work fine again as long as its not been damaged I hope this helps you thanks.

Hello it if the camera is working it will flash as the picture is taken if the camera won't flash when taking a picture its faulty. But if the camera flash works and the picture doesn't appear on the film then the film is bad and you need a fresh film I hope this helps.
Is the battery compartment terminals corrosion free if they have a little rust on use a little sandpaper to rub them also someone else said to give it a tap on the side to getting it working.
Can you take out the film cartridge it could be its not in just right or it could be a damaged film if you get the film cartridge out and take it back to the store to replace it as it might be out of allingment.
Hello how is the shutter and buttons do they feel fine normally these cameras are very tuff only thing I can think of is that the circuit board could be damaged in some way if nothing turns on at all if you have had the camera for less than 12 months instax may replace or fix it for you so sorry I wasn't much help on this time .
Has the film been exposed to the light has the door of the camera been opened at all as this is what can happen to the film once its been exposed. I would try and take a couple more pictures with that film and see if the rest of the film is OK if not you need fresh film . Thanks
Hello oh sorry about this thats a shame I don't think it makes a difference if the battery cover is missing but you can buy a replacement on ebay I shall have a look and see if a missing battery cover makes a difference for you

@@colscopters it’s kinda old actually. And it’s my fault. I had kept the battery in the compartment and left the camera unused for over a year. Result is that the battery melted plus rusted so I tried to clean it with a wet cloth and then placed new batteries. But it kept blinking red so I tried to wipe it clean again but this time with sanitizer 💀 . And then…..dead. Nothing works anymore.
Your film needs to be changed but try and take a couple more pictures with the film that you have as it could of been exposed to the light I hope this helps

My camera doesn’t work really well and when I take a picture it all blank and when I turned it of and when I turned it back on it did not turn back agian and so I haven’t used it so it’s just in my room in a box with all my old things 😂
I see you definitely have a faulty camera as you would at least get the lights on if nothing else. Have you had the camera less than 12 months as it will still be covered under a guarantee. Sounds crazy I don't mean to be disrespectful at all have you got the batteries the right way up as someone on my channel had the batteries upside down. Hello you need to get the duracell batteries that are the same in the video that's the only type of batteries the camera will work on I know crazy 🤪 but trust me that's true 👍
@@colscopters the red light on the back keep on shining and the indicator light in the lense isn't shining, I'm affraid there's something wrong with the camera because It has not been used for a few years, thanks for your concern but I think it's about time for the camera to be broken 😭
This is what I've found on the Internet the red light by the viewfinder won't stop blinking (or won't turn off), then the problem is most likely related to the batteries. Check that the batteries are oriented correctly or replace dead batteries.
Has the door been opened when the film has been inside this can damage the film and it goes white due to light exposure. I recommend getting a fresh film that will sort it out hopefully 👍
Hello have you changed the batteries you need a good set of batteries as this camera is very fussy also check the connections for any corrosion on the battery terminal if it has some use a nail file to gently clean it off I hope this helps.
Oh dear have you the camera can be funny they only work on certain types of battery how are your connections give them a rub with a bit of sandpaper or a nail file as sometimes that helps.
Yes you need the right batteries for it to work ive got duracell plus AA they work the best for the camera I hope that helps I got mine from a supermarket
Have you noticed any rust on the battery terminals but just to make sure just rub gently the terminals with an emboryboard that you use for your nails but it should work if new batteries are installed

The camera works, but does not take pictures. Lights shine on all points in the back, noting that I replaced the battery so what can i do?

No you can get a nail file and gently rub away the corrosion if it's not to bad it will work .

Hi are the batteries brand new and the same type that are in the video as these cameras are funny they only like certain types of batteries it's the way they have been made I know it sounds crazy but it's true 👍

I changed the batteries and the camera was able to warm up BUT I press the shutter button and it doesn’t do anything :( I’ve tried changing the film and nothing. The camera is on but pressing the button doesn’t do anything HELP

Oh dear how old is the camera if its new within 12 months old you can get a replacement camera from them
@@colscopters it’s kinda old actually. And it’s my fault. I had kept the battery in the compartment and left the camera unused for over a year. Result is that the battery melted plus rusted so I tried to clean it with a wet cloth and then placed new batteries. But it kept blinking red so I tried to wipe it clean again but this time with sanitizer 💀 . And then…..dead. Nothing works anymore.
Oh I see try vinger and a ear bud that might help on the connections some times it works

Maybe you need a fresh film as it could of been exposed to the light try and take another picture that might be ok then
i used new batteries the lights come on but when i take a pic it doesn't print !
That's because the film needs replacing it only has a short life span once opened
Mine is still not turning on not even the little lights and it has new batteries 😐

Have you got alkaline batteries the camera will only work with them and they need to be good quality ones

Your film needs to be changed but try and take a couple more pictures with the film that you have as it could of been exposed to the light I hope this helps

Thanks because the film has been exposed to the light you need a fresh film or the film is old and the chemical has broken down over time

How are the battery connections give them a rub with a nail file and make sure it's the same type batteries that are in the video these cameras are funny on batteries. I hope this is helpful

My camera doesn’t work really well and when I take a picture it all blank and when I turned it of and when I turned it back on it did not turn back agian and so I haven’t used it so it’s just in my room in a box with all my old things 😂
Batteries are low you need a fresh set of brand new batteries and it will work great again thanks 😊

I see you definitely have a faulty camera as you would at least get the lights on if nothing else.
Have you had the camera less than 12 months as it will still be covered under a guarantee.
Sounds crazy I don't mean to be disrespectful at all have you got the batteries the right way up as someone on my channel had the batteries upside down.

Hello you need to get the duracell batteries that are the same in the video that's the only type of batteries the camera will work on I know crazy 🤪 but trust me that's true 👍

This is what I've found on the Internet
the red light by the viewfinder won't stop blinking (or won't turn off), then the problem is most likely related to the batteries. Check that the batteries are oriented correctly or replace dead batteries.

Mine camera photos are coming white no picture is coming. Only white sheet..😭😭
Has the door been opened when the film has been inside this can damage the film and it goes white due to light exposure.
I recommend getting a fresh film that will sort it out hopefully 👍

Hello have you changed the batteries you need a good set of batteries as this camera is very fussy also check the connections for any corrosion on the battery terminal if it has some use a nail file to gently clean it off I hope this helps.

Yes you need the right batteries for it to work ive got duracell plus AA they work the best for the camera I hope that helps I got mine from a supermarket

I have the same problem, and I changed the batteries to Panasonic AA batteries and i put a new instant film and it’s still not working
Have you noticed any rust on the battery terminals but just to make sure just rub gently the terminals with an emboryboard that you use for your nails but it should work if new batteries are installed

Try cleaning with a ladies nail file on the battery terminal also use the same type batteries as these cameras are very fussy .
