i can’t imagine why people slept on this game, this is an excellent roll and write and the huge number of challenges that the publishers have put out make this so repayable and well supported roll and writes. sure it’s not troyes, but it works so well in the roll and write format with similar themes. this needs so much more exposure. Rahdo is 100% correct in why this is a superb roll and write.
The same reason people ignored Castles of Burgundy the Card Game. It's great, but not as good as the real game. So they just figure it's not worth the time.
Your job is both a curse and a blessing. I love board games but I can imagine the frustration of seeing so many new games and wanting to purchase or play them all.

Hey Richard, after watching the video, I have a few questions: 1) Has Jen played this yet? If so, what was her high score? 2) What happens after you exhaust all of the roll 'n write papers? Can you buy more from the publisher? Would it be possible to laminate a few and re-use them? Thanks.
i didn't have a problem with them, but i've read thousands of rulebooks over the years, so i'm not the best judge probably since i tend to not have a problem with most
Jeremy from Man vs Meeple (another Troyes lover) very articulately called this game “dog doo doo” and said “it takes what Troyes does and makes it poop.” 😂
@@sebastiendujardin4264 i asked jeremy howard why such a strong reaction, and he guessed it might be because jeremy S has the original troyes on such a high pedestal, plus he just doesn't go for roll & writes, that those 2 things combined made him predisposed to not like it. i guess that makes some sense, but it's too bad, because the game is great! :)
@@sebastiendujardin4264 Jeremy is entitled to his opinion, but he did not convey it in a respectful manner. I disagree it was his goal to harm the game, but I do think he should have been a little more tactful in his response.

The sheets are available as PDF on the publisher’s website along with Challenges. Laminating R&W sheets is always THE solution 😅
How is the rulebook? This looks like a confusing R&W game. Too easy to make mistakes and that score pad is “busy” (lot going on)
