Alex and Sarah just jump right in there with Andy and getter done! Is it safe to say your daughters don’t bother going to the nail salon until after the harvest is over? I’m amazed at the work they do but then again, I’ve watched this channel long enough to continue being impressed and amazed by them as well as your entire family!
couple of observations,,, you have a great attitude when things go wrong, you're great at problem solving and your children are lucky to have you for a father Andy..Thanks for my farming fix!
I am always amazed at how much you and your crew can accomplish given the environment and conditions. From wrecked tractors, trailers in a ditch, to corn heads in the field.
Andy, time for an upgrade! Nice to see how Alex and Sarah jump right in and help. They're not afraid of getting dirty and supporting there Dad. Keep the action and knowledge coming. You all stay safe!
Andy,I can't say how much it makes me smile to see the girls jump in and help... In today's world it's almost impossible to see young kids want to to anything..... You're such a good man and your family is great... All the crew seems to be good. Take care of them and yourself.... God bless.
Sarah and Alex, you rock(or whatever passes for a well intentioned compliment from 'folks' nowadays)! I like to smile and y'all caused a few. Many of us do notice, today many others tell it too, just like I was inspired to do here. Thanks again Andy! I'll bet they put a smile on your face on this day too! :-)
That was a great video, stuff happens of course. But to have the youthful help willing to pitch in is priceless. Your daughter's are awesome. I did laugh seeing your audience watch as you got under way.😅 Again Priceless to see. Thank you Andy.
The family sure works together to keep things rolling. Not a run-of-the-mill repair. Got into a similar repair replacing a broken row-unit driveshaft. Not much fun...but got it done.
Great job Andy. Your definitely a farmer. New generation farmer. Dollars count. Count them making the right repair as opposed to making the old school FARMER FIX. You have been doing this long enough. God bless. Be good. Be safe.
Your daughters don't mind getting their hands dirty. They are great help fixing things. I surprised the hex shaft came out and went back in so easy. My brother's JD round baler has hex shafts thru the belt drive rolls and when a bearing goes on them they are PITA to get the shaft out of the bearings. Great video.
Great to see the sisters together helping but also having a bit of a laugh, they don't say much however dad does 😂😂well done and best of luck for rest of harvest 😅😅
It's a good day when the family works together. You have some hard working young ladies there Andy..Looked like that was going to be a tough job. Tear down and putting back together? You made it look easy..
Good job on the repair, Andy. You had a couple of good assistants. Soon they will be able to do repairs on their own. I some repairs they do now on the tillage equipment.
I have changed those gear boxes before on a 643 Deere head. Always had a rebuilt one waiting to swap out a bad one. It’s way cheaper to replace the bearings and seals in the off season than buy a new one. And no it was not lack of grease that takes them out either.
Andy , your girls are so awesome. All your kids are for that matter! I admire your family structure! You are truly blessed!! Great content , thank you sir!!
I am always amazed at what those girls will have a go at and always with a smile it looks like nothing is of limits, and i really enjoy the way that you explain the process of what you are doing .I always look forward to the next video it makes my day.
Andy love all your videos but we really need to get you a service truck with a service body and a hydraulic crane you are one person that I watch on youtube out of all them that could definitely use it. Merry Christmas to you and your family
Andy you are the star of this show. I bet you could get a good deal on a Massy combine or any other non John Deere. I just sent Mike Bloomberg out to speard some seeds. He told me he knew more about farming that the CEOs of all combine makers kenw about nuts. I agreed. Tomorrow I will drinkd some whole milk. Keep it up. love your channel...
Hi Andy - Not unusual for Farms that have pivot irrigation to damage 1 or 2 snouts every corn harvest, especially in the middle of the field when sometimes the pivots gets stuck during the summer (flat tire or too wet) and they dig a deep trench and then later during harvest you find the deep (pivot ditch) at night with the combine. Since you don't do pivot irrigation you probably don't have as much a problem with trenches in your fields !
Hi you did a nice job and you oh you’re two daughters did a beautiful job putting the thing together. Perfect. May put together like a professionals mechanics and they deserve a big pay raise hopping their dad
Hope you can get things done before the snow. Was out there this morning and TV said lake effect coming in and a lot in places. Got my load of stuff at AN Martin and got back east fast. Good luck and thanks for tutorial. I have the same head and have not done a gear box yet.
Buddy of mine replaced the whole head after 3 or 4 years, dealer had one sitting that he wanted to move and it was really cost effective to do it all at once instead of a nickle at a time.
It's really nice in the field repair job and a great job, Andy. Might I add those? Girls are really good Helpers and pretty easy on the Eyes to boot. Thanks for sharing. Andy, a couple of videos back. It was mentioned that Charlotte is gonna undercoat her car. Did she get that done?.
Theres a hex rubber seal and metal spacer that is hex shaped inside that goes on the drive shaft before you put that end plate on with the bearing, the rubber seal helps to keep oil from leaking after you put the pan on the bulkhead and fill with oil up to the drain plugs, I worked at john deere harvester works for 35 years and built many cornheads
Hi Andy! If you accept a little professional advice, the beaks will no longer bend. Raise the two outer beaks by 1 1/2-2 inches from the middle one and place the rest in a V shape. From here on, you only have to watch the middle beak so it doesn't get stuck. Greetings from Europe!
That out side chain box is suppose to have oil / grease in it. Your's is as clean as the day they painted it when it was new. I use grease in mine, won't leak out.

If he got mad every time something broke or wore out he'd be pretty friggin miserable
You and your daughters took care of business! The family that fixes combines together stays together! All the best Andy!
I am always amazed at how much you and your crew can accomplish given the environment and conditions. From wrecked tractors, trailers in a ditch, to corn heads in the field.
Love those family fix-it functions you guys have. That was quite an in depth repair. The girls dug in quite diligently. Great video Andy!
Quite impressive, Sarah took right a hold and carried an end of the gear box assembly! Outstanding! You go girl! 👍⚘
Andy, time for an upgrade! Nice to see how Alex and Sarah jump right in and help. They're not afraid of getting dirty and supporting there Dad. Keep the action and knowledge coming. You all stay safe!
Those are some tough ladies. I like how they were fighting over who picks it up. Farming parts are very expensive.
Andy,I can't say how much it makes me smile to see the girls jump in and help... In today's world it's almost impossible to see young kids want to to anything..... You're such a good man and your family is great... All the crew seems to be good. Take care of them and yourself.... God bless.

So glad to see the younger ones getting involved. Sarah will probably run the farm someday.
That was a great video, stuff happens of course.

Again Priceless to see.
Thank you Andy.
Awesome and capable help you have Andy. And they do it with a smile. Don't blink or you may lose your job.
The combine is a good ole girl and just needs a little help as she gets older. Far cheaper than A new one. Great video.
Great job Andy. Great helpers
Love it when the girls help ,very capable young ladies ,good work team
Those two young ladies are amazing. They don’t hesitate to jump right in. This has been a rough year on the combine.
Hi Andy !
good job on the field with the gear box !
Thanks Andy for your time and everybody have a good day ! 🙋♂️
Always a joy to see your girls working with you Andy.
Andy you done one hell of a job taking it apart and putting it back together you are one sharp cookie.
The family sure works together to keep things rolling. Not a run-of-the-mill repair. Got into a similar repair replacing a broken row-unit driveshaft. Not much fun...but got it done.

Love to see the girls sharing the heavy lifting and reassembly. That is just awesome.
Received my hat order today. I didn't open it because it's a Christmas present for myself. Thanks for the speedy response.

Great job driving the tractor and grain cart Sarah
Great videos Andy! Just like I'm there with you without the grease and dirt. Thanks for all you do! Jim.

That combined is showing all it nightmares this year. Seems like it one thing after another.
The girls were happily helping daddy. You could tell they both want to do their share.
I am always amazed at what those girls will have a go at and always with a smile it looks like nothing is of limits, and i really enjoy the way that you explain the process of what you are doing .I always look forward to the next video it makes my day.
Surprised how easy that shaft pulled out.

Nice job Andy and the girls getting it done in the field
Andy, another great video! Also, a great field repair! I hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving!
Andy great job on gear box replacement u an girls make a great team 👍🚜
Those. Deere gearboxes are a great design. They are really tough and totally rebuildable.
The next generation is getting a good dose of Farming , Fixing and Fabricating ...........
That librarian has bigger muscles than Sara today.
You are very hard working.❤❤❤
Andy love all your videos but we really need to get you a service truck with a service body and a hydraulic crane you are one person that I watch on youtube out of all them that could definitely use it. Merry Christmas to you and your family
He has a service truck, I think the transmission gave up the ghost.
Andy you got some tough bad ass farm girls there they get the job done👍
Good morning.
Wishing all car drivers to be healthy and safe
Great teamwork right there.👍🏻💪🏻
Amazing the field repairs you perform
When doing a job like that in the field Andy lay out a white painters tarp underneath where your working you wont loose anything in the grass 👍
If 1 gearbox goes, the others are just as tired. Start looking at a shop project or another head. Great video!

Really smart women there Andy and they are definitely not lazy.
Busted an end snout on a tree going through a hedgerow once years ago, but never anything in a field header height control 👍🏻
One great family 👍👍
Good job on gear box replacement
There is a place in Colfax, IA called Colfax Tractor parts. Lots of combines, old tractors, you might be able to find a snout there.
Hi you did a nice job and you oh you’re two daughters did a beautiful job putting the thing together. Perfect. May put together like a professionals mechanics and they deserve a big pay raise hopping their dad

It is all ways something, for sure .
Never a dull moment great work Andy
The fun never ends.
Watched Laura and Grant change one of those on there combine. Yes lot of work and heavy, they had there JD shop rebuilt it to have warranty.
Lots of good help there
Great job!
It's awesome how your girls just jump right in and help, not just hang around waiting for you to fix it. Oh, and your household must buy tide in bulk!
Your daughters are very competent.
Andy, another great video!

Gee Andrew you should of been a farm mechanic your bloody good, you missed your calling.
I know right
You are a great boss I like watching you

Seems like taking this combine head apart was similar to repairing a several ton watch. 🌽⌚🔧⚙🔦
We're back here with our new parts and one of my no.1 helpers 😂😂
Andy, you sir are a brute to lift those gearboxes off the ground. I wouldn't have tried it without a lift, but I am not Andy Corrigan! :)
You got some great help farm girls rock
We never stop learning.
Don't worry about other people think u take care of your equipment proud of all your kids and your employees as well
That out side chain box is suppose to have oil / grease in it. Your's is as clean as the day they painted it when it was new. I use grease in mine, won't leak out.
It had oil in it….. did you happen to notice any rust on the chain?
I absolutely appreciate your girls
