  • Today is the day for Mavis' MOT.
My usual MOT tester had a lovely chat about how I had a nasty crash on the return home from last year's test, and the clocks not surviving the winter months, so the new clocks are only showing 4 miles LOL...
He pointed out my rear wheel is still dragging a little and the chain is a little too snug. So I tore the caliper apart, cleaned and reassembled it (really should use new seals but I haven't got any.
Big thanks to MCA for squeezing me in

Yeah. I love this bike. Had it just over 2 years now and gives me a smile every time I ride it! Still on L plates and redoing my CBT Wednesday. The crash knocked me back last year but my theory is already done and has another year on it still... Not to get a bigger bike so much, but to be able to ride on the motorway to get to work a little easier... 😆

@@LowtherSport BEST THING TO GET BACK ON BIKE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER ACCIDENT OR A LOT OF PEOPLE DONT RIDE AGAIN..Best idea to stick to 125cc...as you see so much more of the sceenery..i have just gone back to a 125cc after 20 years of riding a 600cc.. and i forgot how much fun they were..more economical and cheap to repair.i had to go back to 125 as i got arthritis in both knees now.....ride safe..👍👍👍

@@S161064 yeah I know, but she was locked up in the insurance compound for nearly 6 months because the third party were refusing to take any liability, or even answer the calls, but my insurance needed them to approve the write off. In the end my insurance paid for an independent inspection to approve the write off. Liability was only settled a month or so ago and now quibbling over costs (including storage costs which was their fault) so far it's 394 days since the accident and zero payouts. I'm planning on using the funds to book a full licence course!

@@LowtherSport YEH EVER BODY SEEMS TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH INSURANCE PAYOUTS AT THE MOMENT..Hope you pass your full licence...and stay with the 125 ..as everthing going electric in next few years..so not really worth getting a big bike anymore. also all this ultra low emissions test too...i have seen some nice big bikes going at silly prices as they cant get them through the mot.. there is a few ways to get the big bikes through the mot ..but by the time and money you spend to pass emissions may aswell stay with a 125cc..👍👍👍
