This is exactly how I am doing it! I make three payments. Weeks 1, 2, and 3 of the month. These payments are no less than $300 each, but I do put more on the 2nd and 3rd weeks. Do the max cash advance, disburse the funds or focus on one debt, rinse and repeat. Navyfed credit card, $20,000 credit limit, $6,000 cash advance.
Hey Christy, Why dont you talk about ERISA!??? ALOT of seniors and disabled people cant be compelled to repay their debts. Even taxes!!! In 1974, ERISA was enacted to protect almost ALL retirement and disability income from lawsuits and collection!!!
Hey Christy! I love your videos. For mutiple smaller payments throughout the month, does it matter when those payments are made? For instance, right before the statement date, etc.? Anything that will help increase credit score the QUICKEST WAY possible .Thanks in advance!
I have everything set on auto pay, except my house note. I will have to go in and figure out how to change all my bills to another account? I will set them up to come out of the heloc or credit card I chose to start velocity banking? Or does the money manager do all of this when I click to execute?
So basically you're saying make a bunch of payments throughout the month to pay off your credit card. So if I have a $500 limit on my credit card, I can use that $500 throughout the month and slowly pay it back throughout the month?
since you only have a $500 credit card and you have the money use it and then pay it off in a day or two. keep doing that and make sure that you owe nothing by your closing date so you don't get charged interest if that is a feature on the credit card. then keep doing this over and over every month so you can build up your credit. $500 is not sufficient for you to do vb properly because the limit is so small.
I have 25k left to pay on my car 740$ payment . I’m making between 800-1000 payments . Expecting to pay off in two years. Should I use my Citi credit card at 9.9% to do a lump sum of 10k towards the car or just keep making the payments?
Is the credit chunking ok if moneymax doesn't tell you to do it? Aren't you supposed to follow the moneymax advice to get out of debt at the time it says you will be out of debt?
This might not be the right place to post this but it might b happening to other people. I've registered for the Tuesday webinar for Money Max. If you were almost maxed out, they were afraid you will not pay. Not good. I am sorry you got cut off. Don’t worry just keep utilization low and they will raise it slowly 😊
@@gina77duc44 why would they be afraid I would not pay when my credit history shows I’ve never once missed a payment in 30 years? And I had just paid $15k in a single payment to get my balance to $0. I used the card for house renovations so it went from a few hundred $ balance to $15k in less than 4 months but then I got penalized for paying the card off in a single large chunk. 🤷
I found out yesterday I'm losing my six figure a year job of 14 years because the company is closing my branch. I'm roughly $300,000 in debt with mostly secured loans, and approximately $24,000 in credit cards. I'm really hoping this will help.
What's the difference between the closing date and due date? I try to pay as much as I can by the closing date? Is it worth it? Should I only worry about the due date? I try to pay my balance in full per month, but sometimes I don't. Good luck
the due date is when you need to make your minimum payment so you don't charged a late fee. the closing date is the last date of you current statement.
The close date is the one you want to focus on if you want to improve your credit score for the next month because you would want to drop your credit card balance as much as you can before the close date. The due date is important because you need to make your minimum credit card payment, otherwise the credit card company will hit you with a late payment derogatory mark on your credit report which will destroy your credit.
When doing that, do you have to state that you want the payment to go to the principal and not the interest? Or does it just automatically go to the principal because it's before the 25 Days?
PLOC = personal lines of credit. A lot of credit unions offer PLOCs. Banks offer them as well - check with your bank/credit union. You can get a HELOC instead of a mortgage - they will try to talk you out of it and not all banks/credit unions will allow it.
I am curious to know if I am doing something incorrectly. I have tried splitting up CC payments over the month prior to the due day. This was attempted on two different cards. In both cases, they still wanted the minimum due on the due date? Have I misunderstood what your explaining?
I made the mistake of paying a credit card payment at the end of the month when we got paid instead of waiting till the new month started, sort of to get ahead of the game, but it still showed that I, too, needed to make a payment. I figured that because it was not after the first that it didn’t record it as being paying earlier. I now wait till the first of the month to begin paying my cards for that month.
Money max is good for investors with high interest but I bought the program and regret it cause I can’t use it or it doesn’t make sense I have 5 each 0% credit cards and the program gets confused even though I tell it what date each expires it tells me to payoff the wrong one first. The program will only allow you to work with the 3 months your in *warning it makes it hard to input extra payments you want to make and doesn’t recalculate timely. I like to budget and plan out 12 months. Warning this does not let you. Let’s you see 3 months and see it’s calculated payoff date, you can do the same stuff with Christy’s velocity plan and control your own budget.
No money max is overkill not needed. It sounds like you would just use a 1st Lein. Money max can help investors and those that can’t get Helocs or lines of credit.
Try getting a loan with a credit union. I got my full loan with a score just under 700 but that was almost 5 years ago. Paid off it off in 4.3 years doing VB.
they cut your limit because of your history with the credit card. bad history means that they will most likely take a loss with you so as soon as you pay some down they will cut the limit so you can't use up that money again. so don't ever carry a credit card at their max balance for a long time and always always give at least the minimum payment by the due date. I've paid down my credit card from $30K to $14K since december and my balance hasn't been lowered from $37K.
I just came across your videos when I was searching if snowball or avalanche method is best for paying of credit card debt. I have been watching your videos and feel like I understand how it works but the one thing I am not getting is how do you account for the interest that automatically is charged to the credit card before you payment is due. Do you include your minimum payment as part of your expenses each month? Hope this makes sense. Thank you!!😊
no, plus I wouldn't do business with Truist because they wouldn't let me payoff my car loan in full as a one time payment. they wanted me to make multiple payments, which was around $8K in 2019 before I started doing velocity banking.
$7000 cleared since christmas! Woo hoo.

I remember the last time they started cutting limits down. It was 2008...🤔

OR... pay it off in full, always. Never borrow more than you can repay. Treat it like a debit card and spend within your limits.
That made total sense 🎉
Thank u miss Christy for this information, God bless u more❤😊
Hey Christy, does the multiple payments a month work for auto loans as well as cc?
You are AWESOME 😎!! Great information!!

I am anxiously awaiting to start and see the results of money max payments.
Me too

Not with a credit card. They will take their interest off the top.

With credit card debt under $20k it doesn't make sense to get Money Max account. The payment was $2500, better for mortgage debt
