Just to clarify the Ninja Theory story: They use AI voice acting as placeholders during development and replace it later with real voice actors.

Most people are familiar with the "dall-e mini" of AI writing tools. GPT-3 is absolutely capable of replicating almost any style of text.
It is undoubtedly more impressive than Dall-E 2, most poeple just have even less of an idea how to effectively prompt these models.
Treating a Large Language Model like an AI assistant isn't the best way to use them. The best way to use them is to get them to autocomplete a well written snippet.

GPT-3 has really helped people I personally know with writing homework. They use it to generate the core ideas of an assignment and go from there. With all the homework teachers give out and all the classes they take, it's actually huge for their mental health to not stress about every aspect of a writing assignment. They can focus on getting the fundamentals into GPT-3, have it spit something out that you can use, then basically reword the information to say what you want to say for your actual assignment. Also it's like stupid cheap. Very useful tool, or so I've heard…

Transformer model specialist here (the kind of model that wrote those essays to help kids cheat) it's actually not impossible, nor likely even all that difficult, to figure out whether a generation is non-human. The way these models write is according to a pretty distinctive set of sampling methods, and if you look at the output probabilities of every word from the model vs. the probabilities the same model would assign to human writing, the output distribution of probabilities look very different.
If you're aware of this, you could plot out the probabilities and modify/swap out words and sentences to make the generation look more human, but that involves quite a bit of sophistication considering these are kids trying to use GPT-3 to write essays for them. But if you're a kid in school thinking about using this, just know that anti-cheat detection is probably going to be out really soon.
Without knowing too much about the model, a naive strategy to avoid anti-cheat that will likely work for awhile (or at least give you plausible deniability) would be to just pepper in synonyms where you can and rewrite some sentences here and there. Don't have long stretches of model-only generated content. The model has a bias towards words that are common to the context that it's writing in, whereas human writing looks has stretches that look really improbable to the model.
These models are primarily trained on text from around the internet and on books and such, which biases the model to text that is a lot more clean, esp. since the introduction of things like grammarly and such. This is likely to be a problem for awhile as well, as there is likely to be more AI-generated content around the internet, leading to a sort of style-feedback loop that should only further bias the model towards it's own "style" if you will and further away from the styles of writing found from lesser-educated humans in K-12 and college.
If one had a large repository of school essays (for example, a company that makes plagiarism software), then they would be able to pretty quickly make a solution that can detect whether something is AI generated or not.
(just to help illustrate the point) look at the style of text I just wrote and compare it to highly polished work from a news site, book, or even the AI generated essay in the video. If I were to publish this elsewhere I would probably spend a lot more time polishing it so it looks better. A simple feature you wouldn't see a model emulate for example is my frequency of use of parentheses, I'm sure you could find many more that stick out if you looked enough, I know I use a lot of commas compared to a lot of content as another example.

Bruh, I played some vrchat the other day, and a lot of people were actually talking about Russia and the possibility of them using nukes.
I had no idea about the Russian draft etc, but now I get why it was being talked about . It's just crazy.
