They're experts at parodying themselves. Look at the lyrics again, and you'll see they're literally doing what the lyrics say 🤣🤣🤣
They shot this one in the TV stations, while waiting for their presentation in differents music shows, they do have a LOT of free time between their performance and when they arrive or leave the buildings because the shows go live, but almost all the groups record their stages before, but have to wait to the end of the show for a live stage if they win ( in corea almost all music show gave trophy based on sales, views and plays)
There are 3 more of this kind of videos: July 7th, The curse of the Spider and BOCA. none are in their official channel but are easy to find.
The girls are in charge of filming and production of this clips. But this are only "Special clips" and not "official" Music videos (as this kind are not show in TV)
Dreamcatcher has a lot of low bubget clips for their B tracks, they a gold mine of content thanks to that.

You have to love Dreamcatcher. Most groups will just sit around, read, play video games, nap, do some social media stuff and just generally waste time during their downtime while at these shows. Dreamcatcher, on the other hand, gets all creative and they give us gems like this video. And, as you said, their Special clips for their b-sides, solos and covers are a seemingly endless gold mine of content. InSomnia has to be one of the best fed, fat and happy fandoms in kpop.

Dreamcatcher MVs are actually very high quality like others you've watched, but they also have lots of low budget Special Clips for fan favorite b-sides. Some have choreo, some are them just sitting around and singing and then there are the 2 self made MVs you've recently reacted to, Break The Wall and Sahara. They're just reenacting the lyrics to lighten up songs that are a bit more serious. As others have mentioned they were mostly filmed while waiting for music shows recording so the people you see in the background are usually stylists and makeup artists. DC has a beautiful relationship with their staff and as you could see in the headbanging part, they're willing to join their craziness anytime.
This video was shot on the premises of a TV production studio, while waiting to perform Scream on a TV show. They just went on and shot a DIY Special Clip for their fans, by themselves. And their world.
Siyeon (pronounced Shee-on) has naturally very dark eyes, but she wears contacts for performances. In reality, her natural dark eyes are much more beautiful. But this woolfy look is also very pretty.
they are in their label company dorm. They live under contract in the building of their record label. So since they have a smaller record label compared to the 2 headed monster (JYP, YG and SM). So the smaller ones don't have the kind of money those 3 have. Hence the self made videos. I love them and I always root for the underdogs because they usually work the hardest and they are all about music and the fans. They don't get the same recognition as other popular groups because they work under those 3 major labels.
We can say that this mv is like a gift to the fan because this song isnt supposed to have a mv so thats why they made it themselves
Yeah they shot Sahara, Break the Wall, and July 7th (one version of it anyway) behind the scenes while they were waiting around at music shows. They are often there from very early in the morning until at least the evening, perhaps longer, so they always have hours and hours of wait time in between rehearsals, filming, and then any live stages. Most of the people you saw in the background are their makeup artists/stylists and I think one of their managers. (They've pretty much gotten their entire company in on these self-made MVs.)
Most of this was shot in waiting rooms for music shows, hence the variety of outfits/locations
To understand the video, you have to read the lyrics. They are taking all the lyrics literally, which is genius, cool, creative, and funny. Dreamcatcher is the best 🖤

They were filming at the daily music shows in their dressing room. If you remember MTV Countdown, just imagine the daily countdowns where instead of playing the music video, it would be the artists would perform live (and for free). The stage performance is a big component of the 'system'. In the hallways, the random people walking by would be crew, artists and staff. Otherwise it's their staff.
Korea really formalized a lot of it. Its much more like a sports league than anything else.

A music show had them film a "self made" MV of July 7th that was filmed backstage in waiting rooms while they were promoting What. It became popular with fans so the label has continued this with releasing the title MV, then usually a special clip of one b-side and a self made MV of another b-side.You would probably have to watch on your own cause I'm not sure if YT would block them but there are selfmade MV's you havent seen for July 7th and Curse of the Spider.

They self made videos are always silly and its a parody to their lyrics to the songs, and its usually a b-side. its just a treat to the fandom, these girls work hard for InSomnias. They do have a live performance clip of "break the wall" too and its not a parody video,. Mostly their other songs are more serious performance. Hope to see more of your reactions to these girls!

in the halloween spirit, you should check out red sun soon. it's a b-side but they made a performance video for it. that's basically what their 'special clips' are, lower budget video extras for b-sides and covers they do.

They make these self-made videos for some b-sides that are fan faves. Their company can’t afford to make real mv’s for these songs. But, their lead single videos are usually super professional movie-like mv’s. Several of their videos are dream/nightmare interpretation videos where viewers can try to figure out what is going on. It’s difficult to do. The series of mv’s has an order - if no one posts the order, I’ll look it up and post it later.
It's actually not that the company can't afford to make music videos for these b-sides, it's just a fun thing for Dreamcatcher to do on the side in between comeback schedules for InSomnias. Would you say the same for Blackpink and BTS b-sides? Who don't have music videos as well for the b-sides, but obviously can afford it. Get your facts straight

They don't need to make these self made MV's, but they want to. It's a fun and creative outlet for them to do in between comebacks. It has nothing to do with the company not having the funds to produce a professional MV for these b-sides. In fact, it's a common practice for most of the industry to only produce a professional MV for only the title track. I just think that was an unnecessary comment to make and it sounded kinda condescending.
