    For those of you who say this won't protect you or it's full of holes you should read before you speak. Craigie said to put a filter inside. You should be thankful as many or that she took time out of her whole life to make this tutorial to help people

    Hi I would use a larger crochet hook on the 19 ch st, then finish row with original hook,, also pick up the back loop of all the 19 st throughout the 12 rows, you will get a bit larger covered area over your face,, & from the back loop you will get a pleated appearance, might be a nice touch,, also use a contrasting yarn when you do your straps, as you go around your mask to the other side strap, the contrast frames your whole mask, it was fun watching your project,, very well done,, I could not help adding my hints,, it’s just my nature to always do things different,, & do it my way,,,
    Loved the music, calming,, beautiful handwork & presentation,, kept it up,

    Thanks. I thought 14 minutes was going to be too long but that was how long it took to make the entire mask and that wasn’t bad at all. Thank you. Little too big for my face but easy to adjust. Going to crochet a little square on the inside so I can make a pocket for disposable filters

    I've searched TH-cam all week long for a face mask pattern. Then I found you. I have your yarn and hook, and I am following along with you. Writing as I go. Thank you so very much. I'm staying in my home, but husband is getting itchy feet. So this is for him. I'm going to make 3 just in case the other 2 do not dry fast enough for him. Smile, and please stay safe and well. Feel better. You have my prayers and blessings.

    You should add a pocket in the back so you can put a filter or a handkerchief to filter. I did with the one I crocheted and I put a coffee filter in the pocket. You can remove the filter and wash the mask. Dispose the filter and put a new one in.

    Thank you. Easy to follow along. These crocheted masks will not protect you from every germ, but in some places people are required to wear a face covering that covers the nose and mouth. This helps if the person wearing the mask has to sneeze or cough, also it prevents a person from touching their mouth and nose while they are out in public. I have not been able to obtain any medical masks, (at least not for a couple months) so this is a good solution when you need a face covering. Thanks for this video.

    Hi hun, with this masks you can probably slip a number 2 coffee filter in it. They are the cone-shaped filters. Sort of shaped like a triangle and the smaller Edge goes at the top. I'm going to work this up with hair ties because yarn tends to stretch. Have a beautiful day ❤️ be well sweetie thank you for sharing your video I just subscribed. You can also add a row that creates a fold by working a back post Stitch and then follow it up with the regular row of stitches. On both edges.

      @@creggyscrochet I also wanted to let you know, but I hope I did not come off being a know-it-all or anyting. My suggestion was not because I'm an expert, at all. it comes through a pattern I came across a few days ago & I was happy with it. And the hair ties around the ears was on another pattern that I came across. And I really prefer that because yarn chain stretch but the hair ties stay snug on my kisser 😂 and using the number to coffee filters keep the yarn from tickling my allergy filled nose 😂 I just been thinking about my suggestions to you all day and I felt kind of bad because I wouldn't want you to feel I was being such a know-it-all or anyting. I saw someone make a mask from a hepa- filter vacuum cleaner bag. I think that a piece cut from the bag would actually make a great filter to use with a crocheted mask. Perhaps it can protect from something, Of course, we do not know whether it will protect from CoVid 19, but I am going to try to use a piece of HEPA filter with my crocheted mask. Thank you for sharing. Hope you feel better and can get your rest.

    What would be the easiest way to line this?

    • @creggyscrochet
      @creggyscrochet  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For me, since I don't have a cloth lining I just crochet 12rows of 19dc the sew it inside the mask and add a filter inside.

    Sorry but what size cotton yarn is this? I have several cotton yarns and I did make masks out of them. But I found it very difficult to breathe through them (too thick) and I'm also using a surgical mask inside of them.

      7ply. it is customized, but you can use any size of yarn as long as it is okay with 3.5mm
