Yes I recorded this all in one sitting without a drink of water EDIT: People keep saying that the slime came from You Can't Do That On Television, NOT Double Dare, and I'm fully aware of that now.
The stuff that I know seeing was the Nickelodeon O-Zone block (it had (one point or another), Get the Picture, Make the Grade, Looney Tunes, Hey Dude, Wild & Crazy Kids, What Would You Do?, Nick Arcade, Fifteen (in its 1st and only weekday run), The Nick Hit List, reruns of You Can't Do That on Television (in its last weekday run), Super Sloppy Double Dare, Inspector Gadget, Danger Mouse, Flipper, Yogi Bear, Mork & Mindy, Get Smart, and Bullwinkle's Moose-A-Rama), the Power of Four (the block on Saturday mornings had 2 episodes of Inspector Gadget, then 2 episodes of Superman, then 2 episodes of F Troop, then 2 episodes of Dennis the Menace, and then 2 episodes of Flipper the Nickel-O-Zone block), the late 1995-1999 reruns of Legends of the Hidden Temple, the mid 90s (1993-95) version of Cartoon Kablooey, the We Want More Nick commercial, Looney Tunes, Yogi Bear, U to U, the mid 90s reboot of The Tomorrow People, the early 1994-lates 95 reruns of The Alvin Show rebranded as The Alvin Show on Nickelodeon, the Nick Jr. programs (Eureeka's Castle, The Littl' Bits, The World of David the Gnome, Sharon, Lois & Bram's Elephant Show, and Nick Jr. Storytime (Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics)) came on the channel at one point in 1994 (they were aired during the weird transition peroid at one point, where Nick Jr. wasn't on the channel, and the Nick Jr. shows were given regular Nick bumpers. This happened in the Summer to Early Fall 1994 (during the 1993-1996 era), it was due to the failure of the short-lived 1993-1994 era of Nick Jr.), Ship to Shore, Weinerville, The Wubbulous World Of Dr. Seuss, the Nickelodeon 20th Anniversary montage that always used to come on every morning, the Nickelodeon Montage bumper that would lead up to a music video, the early 90s-late 90s-early 2000s version of SNICK, the Rugrats marathon with the new episodes of Dil (LASTED FOREVER), the lates 90s-beginning of the 2000s reruns of Inspector Gadget, the early-mid 2000's reruns of Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, that's all I know.
Y’know after watching AmasingLuis’ The History of Nick, I guess part 2 video. I gotta be honest, I like your video of your take on Nickelodeon’s history better.
in the past Nickelodeon has rerun classics such as the 70's Star Trek: The Animated Series, Looney Tunes, Inspector Gadget while it was still airing in syndication at the time, Heathcliff, Yogi Bear, Muppet Babies, Beetlejuice, The Alvin Show, Gumby Adventures, Tintin, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Tiny Toons, Garfield & Friends, Charlie Brown, Pinky and the Brain, Animaniacs, and some 90's and 2000's shows.
I very much doubt that the original creator of Pinwheel and Nickelodeon/QUBE C-3 would have hired John Kricfalusi or Dan Schneider for the first Children’s television network had she known about the behavior of both of those men. Since Ms./Miss/Mrs. Horner was no longer working for Nickelodeon at the time that Kricfalusi was hired, she did not have the responsibility or executive power of hiring men like Kricfalusi for Nickelodeon’s animation programming. 😊
To be honest I consider "Make it Pop" to be Nickelodeon taking notice of how K-Pop was gaining an increasing prevalence in the US and decided to get their own piece of the pie.
I’m wondering; as someone who’s watched this and the other two history videos from you. How long did it take for you to make these, and what was your favorite one of the three, along with the hardest to make? I’m genuinely impressed by your work and wondered *how you did this and TWO others BY YOURSELF!* Love the video, and same for the other two, keep it up! :D
The CN one I think took two days while the other two took a few months, the Nickelodeon one was originally made in 2021 in two parts. I'd say the hardest was the Disney Channel one since I didn't really know that much about Disney Channel's history prior to making its documentary.
@ That’s cool! I asked because the slideshows look like they take a *TON* of time and it’s impressive that with that and the days of making one of these, you still make it sound interesting to me! Well done! :D
It’s in two parts, if you go to my channel page, then click the “Search” icon next to the community tab, then type in “The History of Nickelodeon” you’ll find them
There is one show that you forgot about that I know about. It's called Making Fiends. It aired from October 2008 to November 2008. It was actually very decent and I liked it. I will never know why Nick cancelled it at such a short time.
I wish the new Rugrats had them grow up a year or 2 after the series ended instead of changing the ages of some characters. They should've kept Kimi as Chuckies step-sister.
When many people think of “90s cartoons” they often think of Nickelodeon as the first thing that comes to mind. I mean, come on! There’s more to 90’s cartoons than just Nickelodeon. Couldn’t merchandise like t shirts that you find at malls at least capitalize on other cartoons that defined the 90’s like Cartoon Network or WB animated shows? Nicktoons weren’t the only thing most people would know today.
Nickelodeon had the Nicktoons as their original programs and then reruns of animated shows like Looney Tunes, Heathcliff, Inspector Gadget, Yogi Bear, Bullwinkle, Underdog, Muppet Babies, The Alvin Show, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Beetlejuice, Tintin, Gumby Adventures, Tiny Toons, Garfield & Friends, Charlie Brown, Brothers Flub, Ace Ventura, Pinky and the Brain, Animaniacs, Men in Black: The Series, etc. as well as Cartoon Kablooey, which was originalish, but it was bascially an anthology show of other mucholder cartoons (like Mr. Magoo, Gerald McBoing Boing) ala the various Paramount Modern Madcaps and Noveltoons cartoons (Honey Halfwitch, Swifty & Shorty, Sir Blur) that weren't under the banner.
You know, we see eye to eye on many things, but not all of them. For example, I think Umizoomi and Bubble Guppies were greaaaat shows and actually made sense. Also I think Back at the Barnard is good. Harvey beaks and Breadwinners from the black era are good too. And now for the finale, MAKE IT POP IS ACTUALLY DECENT!!!!!
Adventure time wasn’t the only show that was supposed to be a nicktoon, as the powerpuff girls was supposed to be a nicktoon as well in 1995. Crazy if you know what I mean, blossom and bubbles sounded like Dora. This wasn’t the only pilot for the show, as in 1992, they had another pilot before being on Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. I don’t know what channel they where supposed to be on originally in 1992
@@WyattOlingerYT you should make a tier list ranking all the nick toon's, or film the nickelodeon cart racer's game's or the nickelodeon all star brawl
I think that Nickelodeon’s programming schedule will be adversely affected by the ongoing strikes of SAG-AFTRA and the WGA. Every other major network that is owned by the major studios is affected by the strikes. Since Nickelodeon is currently owned by Paramount Global, Nickelodeon’s programs are currently “struck work”, which means that production on those shows will either be delayed or suspended indefinitely until the strikes end. This will involve both animated programming and live action programming that normally uses the creative input of SAG-AFTRA talents and WGA unionized screenwriters. Since both unions are normally involved in animated productions, that will mean that any upcoming new Nicktoons shows in the pipeline will be delayed or suspended for the duration of the strikes.
The only reason why Nickelodeon’s WWDOP Exists is because Nickelodeon want to have a break from broadcasting for only a hour glad this didn’t exist everywhere and thank god it’s gone now
DreamWorks Animation had a distribution deal with Paramount Pictures from 2006-2012, even though they made a series based on Monsters Vs Aliens the year they moved to 20th Century Fox.
If I could choose which cartoon had put a permanent stain onto Nickelodeon’s history and the rest of the animation industry as a whole, then that cartoon would be Fanboy & Chum Chum from 2009. 2006-2008 was bad enough for Nick, although it was alright at times. But 2009 is when Nick really took a dive in quality. From the rebranding of their new logo and then Fanboy & Chum Chum. Which caused other cartoons to act the same way as they did. And no, The Loud House didn’t save Nick to me, it just garnered a fanbase filled with creeps just like how they hired other creeps like John K or Dan Schneider on board, which were both the first Nickelodeon creators to be exposed as either criminals or be in disgrace.
Hmmm. Very interesting history video explained in the way how you would to a kid. The way I see Nickelodeon's history comes in like 5 eras: The early years [1970s-Late 1980s], The 1990s ('The 90s'), Spongebobification [Late 1990s-Present day], The Live Action era [1990s-Present], and the streaming era (current) [Mid 2010s-Present].
