    I was just explaining to my son only yesterday how incredibly amazing was Alexander. Thanks Alexander, Greeks settled as far east as Bactria and Taklamaka! Thank you for this wonderful video.

      And he didn’t destroy like later colonial empires. This video clearly proves he gave back as well.

    It's hard to imagine the temple's full size...just the remains are spectacular. Thanks for the info, Doctor.

    Flint Dibble just did a video on the geology of Delphi getting everyone high. I wonder if this spring gave off any fortune telling gases

    I believe Toldinstone made a recent video at that temple, truly stunning architecture, I never knew temples were made THAT large 🏛️
    One day I hope to visit that place ❤

    BTW english teacher, if you had any PHD literacy whatsoever, you would probably know that the word Atlantis comes from Atlas, the fallen Titan, you know, the guy holding the whole planet it's actually the planet and not heaven, and not an island, because the "islands" described by Plato were only important for transportation, and communication between the two continents, Africa , and America, the whole America. Or the real Atlantis, the 2 continents if u can follow.

      It kinda looks like a, PhD, Intellectual, and of course, "POLITICAL" coersion, or something imposed to someone, instead of freely finding real proof of anything whatsoever.

    Greetings. Dear author, after visiting Didyma, will you still insist that these megaliths, perfectly crafted foundations, blocks, and bas-reliefs were all created by hand? With a hammer and chisel?

    I'm sorry to "criticize," but I'm going to have to ask you to make your videos - a lot longer. I mean... how about a 24 hour channel? People and their expectations. Thanks for everything.

    It's really oversold how tolerant and progressive were the Persians and what happened to didyma was a good example!

      my first impression there. But he did say Xerxes not Cyrus. Who came after Cyrus. Maybe tolerance pretty much ended with him

      Not if you look at the reign of Cambyses - if we are to believe some of the ancient sources (Herodotus?) he wreaked havoc and desecration in Egypt -blasphemed their gods, even killed Apis the sacred bull and his army got lost in the desert -because of his impieties! That army was never seen again.

    • @GothPaoki
      @GothPaoki 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@kaloarepo288 Herodotus only mentions that about cambyses and his missing army as a rumour he heard he doesn't pass it as truth just briefly mentions it.

      @@GothPaoki Persians were not without their very very nasty side - I believe crucifixion was a common form of punishment and death by scaphism (being forced on a highly sugary and milky diet, then tightly bound and placed naked in a boat and set adrift in a boat on a lake and you would then be devoured by insect larva! Greeks called it scaphism after their word for "boat" and it was the punishment for treason or trying to assassinate the king.
