I found a whole valley of fire agates along the Verde in Bloody Basin.Good hunting and good luck finding it if you are brave enough.Clue,first fishing hole after Red Wash north of Sheeps Bridge on the west side of the Verde.True story.

Thanks for the info, I love rock hunting off the Verde River especially at the Sheep Bridge but I don't get up there that often due to the difficulty in getting there!

Last one was the best. Pitting sucks! I hate pitting....all you can really do is surface polish pitted pieces. When I tumble them, they get eaten up by the grit.

Thanks, I should slab that one and make some cabs with it! I need to get a larger tumbler that rotates, currently I'm using a small vibratory tumbler that doesn't work well on stones with rough exteriors.
