I think it’s interesting that Athena, Perseus, Poseidon, Achilles are the main character connections these characters have Like... idk Percy Jackson and Song of Achilles are some very popular books... maybe she expected the love of those books and their character to carry on into this one.
Absolutely love that I can go on TH-cam and listen to feedback on books. I’ve recently started getting into reading 📖 I’m currently reading Lore I haven’t finished it but so far I feel like I need to finish it to have final say on it. But so far I like it I just find it difficult because the constant flash backs right when things are getting interesting seems to make me a lil upset. Hopefully it doesn’t disappoint me. Also is there any interesting books you ladies can refer to me to read that don’t require horror, romance or life inspiring?!
I find it interesting that since this came out the average rating has dropped as more people read it. So it will be interesting to see if that decrease continues

And as i was listening nothing really was sticking i was waiting for the importance of Lore family and the hunter stuff? I though Lore was being hunted by the hunters not that her family was apart of them to....so why bother killing her if males only inherit. I returned it after 2 hours listening.
Just finished this yesterday, I enjoyed the first half and found it entertaining, I didn’t really like the second half. Once I finished the book I was like “wait, what happened?” but I didn’t care enough to go back and try to figure it out
As a lifelong resident of NYC I can tell you that there is not that much to love about the city if you actually live here. I swear, the only time people seem to set media around a whole "I love NYC" feeling is when they're not actually from NYC. What was the bagel comment? I have zero plans to read this book.
I'm so happy that y'all didn't like it too. I gave it a 1.5 and it was my least favorite read of the month. IT dragged so much and the worldbuilding wasn't it for me.
I missed this live and I'm sad but damnnnnnn this book was that bad lol. I knew it wouldn't be my cup of tea but wow for it to be this bad. I'm glad I didn't attempt, I saw a ton of booktubers loving this book

I just finished this book and I just don't feel anything. I'm struggling to even rate it on goodreads. It was ok. Also, "Bitches love maps" 😂😂😂😂😂😂

I just read Lore with three ladies, and we all echoed your sentiments. It was underwhelming.
Truly! I'm curious how strongly it will live in my feelings-- if it will fade to nothing or I'll keep being mad.

Lore's love for New York is so superficial Liza Minnelli would have made a better Athena than Lore.
