- Today's list of things I get to do:
We have a gravel driveway build, and I am going to go through the process of how I cost my business, and bid jobs.
The Eastonmade 22-28 is running slow, so we need to fix that, and I have a pile of logs to move so that I can get back to cutting and splitting firewood.

When I was bidding pipefitter work I asked a guy to look over my bid and he asked me " is that the time it would take you or someone else" ?
I had to up the hours 😂
yes totally. You make an excellent point. When working by the hour, if you are uch better and faster than the standard, then you are actually penalized for being efficient. Great comment!
Best part of my weekend is here !!!

Good video. I’ve been thanking about doing some small jobs. This helps
awesome, have fun with it. Pick some stuff you are comfortable with and get some early wins. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the look behind the scenes video. It is nice learning process of how a job comes together.
Absolutely. We should be doing that project in the next few weeks, I am looking forward to doing that one so that the complete story is there. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I definitely try to limit my fuel purchase locations too...
Yeah, I should have just pulled from my tank at the shop, but I forgot about it before leaving. You just never know about a lot of these places these days. Too may horror stories. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Truck says Not for Hire. What does that mean?
it just means we haul for ourselves and do not act as a "for hire" carrier that transports goods other people own. Thanks!
@@DirtAndRocks I ask because I haul an 8 ton truck and have a dot number and noticed you didn’t have one. I feel like you know something i don’t
@@StrongLikeBullTV nope, we also have a DOT number.
@@DirtAndRocks interestingly not on the side of your truck though
@@StrongLikeBullTV I agree when you are watching TH-cam, the DOT number is not visible ;)
Dont forget to write everything down , in case something goes wrong!!!
most definitely! I am lucky....I can just go back to the video to remember what I was thinking...lol. Thanks!
