      Can you check for OSC signal? As per your signal flow OSC is getting amplified by amplifier which is not correct.

    Amplifier at Mux or at transmitter is called Booster amplifier which amplifies the signal before it leaves
    Amplifier at DeMux or at receiver is called Pre amplifier which amplifies before it handover to de-mux
    Line amplifier is recommended when the fiber travel the distance of 100-150 km, instead of Line amplifier we can use OADM which also allow us to add or drop channel at some distance

    Great video! Gives an overview of a DWDM Network creation.
    Just to Add On we too have CWDM [Coarse wavelength division multiplexing] where wavelengths are spread far apart. Typically used for short-range communications.

    The idea behind this channel, to learn technology with animation (not with images), so everyone can easily understand, clear the concept, and can creak the interview. For suggestion and feedback, please feel free to write in the comment section.

    I didn't understand the criteria why sometimes, you don't need an Amplifier after the Mux? Can you please shed some light into this?

    Explanation of DWDM Network flow is wrong(8:15).
    With Mux/Demux we cannot add/drop & express the channels, even if it is 2-Degree. Mux/Demux can only perform multiplexing (Many to one - Nx1) & demultiplexing (one to many 1xN).
    For add, drop & express functionalities we have to use OADMs (FOADM or ROADM)

    • @OpticsTrans

    What is the purpose of Transponder convert from optical to electrical than convert again to optical?
    I mean, what is the different between The Optical before convert to electrical with The optical after convert from electrical?

    • @OpticsTrans
      @OpticsTrans  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's convert optical signal (1310/850) which we also called black and white or grayed into DWDM C band range (1528-1565nm) signal called as collared as DWDM signal only work on this range now L band also supported

    • @kucretd
      @kucretd 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OpticsTrans oohh i see. ok thanks for the explanation.

  • @lizaparida5377

    What is the need for optical to electrical to optical conversation at transponder level?

    • @OpticsTrans
      @OpticsTrans  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Client signal is normally on 850nm/1310nm that we called Black and white signal also.
      Now this signal to transmit on DWDM we need to convert that signal. We convert first into electrical and that reconvert into optical and assign a ITU-T C band frequency.
      So our signal transmit on DWDM network
      Hope this helps.
