    Oh wow, I never even thought of reading this on audio. I think you're right though, I never would have been able to keep up, I would have missed things. The pace is so crazy the whole way through. I love this book, and it seems like it's really falling off the radar since winning the booker and being the big thing that year, which is too bad.

      You're totally right, despite a dropoff in visibility, it's still a relevant, excellent read!

    This is one of those novels that I wish could be made into a movie, but I don't think our PC culture would allow it to be made.
    I read it every other year just for the Dum Dum donut club
    I'd put it on the same level of satire as Infinite Jest

    I worry that we might be post-satire at this point. This is a book I have been curious about for sometime and now eleven more so.

      I think you should check it out! I know you posted some great content this spring when a lot of unfortunate things were happening especially to the black community - I think this is the angriest book I've read in a while that also happens to be funny, too.

    I find the segregation part really hard to understand. Why did Bon Bon do it and whether he thought he was doing a "good" deed. So confused.
