Such a great era. Hausu is one of my favorite movies. Have you ever seen the animated film Fantastic Planet? That's another favorite from the 70s.

it's beautifully directed, but I couldn't grasp the point, and I'm starting to believe it doesn't have the point, it's just beautiful.

You should add Kim Ki Young's Iodo, which is like the Wicker Man with the craziness dialed up to 11, and its ending will give In the Realm of the Senses a run for its money. Also Alain Robbe-Grillet's delirious Eden and After, which is hard to describe, I'll just say it makes most of the films in your video look straightforward in comparison.

Haha it's just so damn weird yet it still has like a meaning to it but just so odd and disorienting that you cant like grab on to anything while you're watching it but that's not a negative somehow. I watched it twice the first time is saw it just so I could make sense of a little bit of it at least. Lol theres also just scenes and imagery that sticks with you from it too.

@@kubricklynch 20’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, and 90’s- the 30’s has great film’s but they’re often a bit too straight forward, lovely though. I’ve seen like everything globally within these decades (or at least quiiiite a lot.)
The 80’s…I am nearly ignorant. I’ve undoubtedly seen a lot from the 80’s but really - for both music and cinema, fashion, genuinely everything.. The kinds of fixations that existed within
cinema, for me - mostly made a time to make silly shit.. The 80’s is where cheaply made horror became hella competent imo.
I think finding a list of weird film’s from the 80’s will be choosing several from a list of vvvvv many.
I just rewatched Threads yesterday and it had me in tears for a solid hour tho
Something like Videodrome come’s to mind for an 80’s one.

I would avoid Sweet Movie completely, the movie is revolting and features actual pedoph****, and not simulated, a young boy litterally gets molested. I regret watching it. Wish i never did.
The others are worth it. Pink Flamingo is pretty gross as well but i'm fine with it, just don't like anything done to kids.
