If only all the accessories were shown in one video. I'm puzzled why at 8:34 the usual LR PTO adapter doesn't appear to be in use for the powered trailer. I had noted at 2:32 'usual' PTO arrangements - which surely would be 'appropriate' for powering trailers - but they did say it was a special adapter for powering trailers. Maybe it uses the front rear wheel diff off a 6 wheeler so there's a prop shaft continuation out the back of the diff. Doing this then frees the usual PTO drive to power other attachments.
I was thinking maybe the center pto it's connected to the gearbox just like the configuration in 2:32 but in this case the pro shaft instead of following a parallel line from it until the rear hole of the chassis were the rear pto should be, it goes up diagonally and comes out from the bed of the truck. I think they made it that way because there is no sufficient space for the rear pto in the traditional configuration when towing a trailer and if it there is enough space going up and down hills and in uneven terrain there is a chance the two may come in contact that's probably why they raised the pto and potion it inside the truck. Hope it makes sense!
Still had the normal 6 spline pto on back of crossmember right angle drive and room to attach trailer. I have one that powers a pto air compressor to run a jack hammer.
In 08:00 though you must tell your Landrover just to winch itsself out. Else it will you just pull the tree down as shown before. Keep that in mind... ;-)
I've searched and searched but can't find any of these practical accessories in the 2020 Defender brochure, I can have plastic checker plate and a plastic box for the side but none of these. ... Disappointing.
75% of all Land Rover production still exist. With Jaguar Land Rover heritage that percentage will rise. JAG / LR are buying up old engines like mad to remanufacture. Also allot of new parts new alloy and steel bulkheads etc. It is crazy for series 1 and 2 how expensive they are getting.
I've also had a 1975 88" series III for 27 years and it's my favorite. 💪
brilliant, pity there are no machines like this nowadays
Right.. the new defender will never do these tasks. It's just a luxury SUV.
At 5.25 what lovely farm buildings
The ladder that guy goes up when he's attaching the cable to the tree kills me :)
Very versatile young crew! Just out of shorts
Que buenos tiempos de la Land Rover !! Hasta ahora siguen trabajando
Love the mobile lubrication unit with the villiers compressor on board

@@Pinz-Rover Thanks. I guess only the owner would know reliably ?

They have all got ties on , are they real workmen !
I don't think we will see the New Discofender performing many of these tasks.
Every roll player has always wanted a "compact small beast carrier"..

Imagine any of these modern 'Fake' Land Rovers doing anything like this now, this is when Land Rovers were real vehicles!
Those farmers also had ties on !
The Trailer @ 9:00 is great, makes the LR an 6x6 ! ;-)

Have you got a tie ?
@@royblackburn1163 I have, and cordoroy trousers, a jacket with leather patches and a well used boiler suit.
All very when in theory ❕
That mechanic had a tie on !
Technically a tie turns him into a motor engineer rather than a common mechanic!

In those days the Australian accent was illegal on television. So it's difficult to tell if these things are Australian or English.
Not a Yellow Jacket to be seen
Risk Assement whats that ????? great days
dislexic landlord these are the days which caused the H&S legislation to be brought in, too many killed or injured.
08:32 Woow I love the trailer ! That was a genius idea!! How come it has disappeared !!
Only the finest DDT is being sprayed.
I just go shopping in mine ???
Where are all these land rovers now?
