Hi. I had a stoke on my 55th birthday 😫 but it has turned out to be a blessing for me. My sister taught me to Crochet to help me with my hand ❤❤❤❤eye coronation. I love it. I make CA patients hats and prayer blankets. I am now 61 and crocheting like crazy and happy. Blessings to you. ❤❤❤
oh my I have been crocheting for 58 years. Be blessed always. You are such a lovely soul. I just like watching you and hearing your soothing voice and wonderful comments. Your instructions and patterns make it easy to create something beautiful. Thanks for your time and talent that you share.

My Mama first introduced me to crocheting when I was nine, over 50 years ago. She only knew how to chain and do single crochets. After that, I taught myself. I am so thankful for her putting that first crochet hook in my hands! I am truly one, "If I'm sitting, I'm crocheting/knitting". I'm never without needles or hook in hand. Thank you for all the gorgeous patterns you give to us every week, and especially for all the gorgeous yarn to make all these projects with!
I taught myself to crochet a very long time ago when my kids were young. Now they have flown the nest the grand children enjoy the new versions of crochet blankets and toys. So much fun. This is a great easy pattern, made more beautiful by the yarn. Lovely.
I'm so grateful to my friend Christina for introducing me to this video and this your channel. Been crocheting since my grandmother taught me about age 6, so 54 years! But I usually just use the same stitch to make blankets for all the baby showers haha. So it's fun to try some new stitches or patterns and especially delightful to be blessed by your demeanor and mindset.
Hello, my older sister taught me to crochet in an airport while waiting on our flight in the 1970’s (she was a flight attendant), I went on to love the craft and taught a few friends who went wild crocheting up a storm for many years. I’m 67 now and after my son passed suddenly four years ago this month I needed to distract my mind and crochet has been a blessing. Thank you for the lovely knit and crochet patterns and yarns. Blessings from Nashville❣️🙏🏻
A co- worker taught me to crochet when I was expecting my first child at 20. I am now 65 and still love it. Crochet has been a great comfort to me during good times and bad, and it keeps my mind young😊I have a lot of your patterns and yarn❤❤❤❤I love them so much!
Good morning. My Beautiful mom taught me how to knit and crochet when I was around 7 or 8. I’m. 66 and miss sharing these crafts with both my mom and my sister. We used to sit together and work on our individual projects together and sis and I would always have to refer to the “master” when we couldn’t quite figure something out. 😊. Wonderful memories! ❤. Love this stitch. Great for scarfs. Thanks! Enjoy your family. 😊
This pattern comes right on time. My mom asked me to make her a shawl. It's beautiful and I know she'll love it. I started crocheting 11 years ago. I received a crochet blanket for my -back then - baby girl and decided I'll be able to create something just like that. And I do 😊, and you and others also taught me how to knit. Have a warm, joyful, love filled weekend 💖
Thank you for this simply elegant and meditative pattern. My Italian GrandAunt taught me to crochet when I was about 12 years old, so 55 years ago! The first stitch she taught me was what she called the afghan stitch which I now know as Tunisian Simple Stitch. She guided me through a scrapghan using that stitch and a pretty border stitch. After that she took me yarn shopping for 2 coordinating colors of yarn to make a traditional granny square blanket, teaching me how to crochet the squares and how to crochet them together and add a border. My grown children still have the baby afghans she crocheted for them plus many of the blankets and toys I crocheted for them and more recently for my grandchildren. I hope the love for fiber arts will continue as part of my family's legacy.
Hello Gorgeous Chandi, I have actually really been crocheting (properly since I found this channel on TH-cam!) the way you are, your inner peace and happiness is an absolute joy to watch and listen to!! I have always been the one who’s had to be strong for everyone else no matter what I’m going through and I don’t mind, but some I feel a bit selfish and just want some me time to relax and drift away from darkness back into the light even if just for ten minutes, and YOU are the one I turn to for that. I love your encouragement and I can’t wait every week until Friday comes to just dissolve into your new pattern. Thank you lovely warm hearted and joyful lady x
Thank you for this beautiful and elegant pattern. I have been knitting and crocheting since I was a child so longer than you have been with us. I agree with you. Watching a creation come to life is very gratifying
This is a beautiful shawl, one of my favorite things to crochet! I've been crocheting for about 50 years. I also recently learned how to knit. I enjoy your videos,, Thank you for the free patterns!
I am 73 and have been crocheting since I was 9. So better than 60 years! I find it to be very meditative. And I love creating gifts for friends and donating shawls to prayer shawl ministry.
What a beautiful perspective on our crafts. My mother was an accomplished knitter and I still have a few precious pieces she made. She and my grandmother taught me to knit and I picked up crochet a few years ago. Thanks for your beautiful channel....I love the peace and sweet energy you bring to it!
I've been crocheting for 40 years& fondly remember my first project. An afghan made of squares. Each square was a different stitch combination so I learned about tension and a wide variety of stitch patterns. Love your yarns and the colors.
I have only been crocheting for 2 1/2 years and I love the process of turning a single strand of yarn into something beautiful. Your tutorials make it so easy - thank you!
So grateful to have come across this video! My grandmother taught me how to crochet when I stayed with her over the summer (around age 10)..I fell in love with it & would always sit and make "blankets" for my dolls. I did stop crocheting as I lost my crochet buddy before my 18th birthday and any time I'd pick up the hook I could never get through it. But I’ve decided to recently start back, now @ age 35, just as a way to feel reconnected with her and I’ve been teaching my teen daughter as well. So technically I’ve only been at this for about a solid year (1month+ for 8 summers.. and here & there in between being a kid) 😅 but I picked it back up like you would riding a bike.. super grateful for YT tutorials and for my absolute favorite human for getting me HOOKED! 🪡
I learned to crochet 50 years ago and have been crocheting on and off since then. I have been really trying to practice the craft in the last couple of years. Love the colors and the shawl.
I've been crocheting between 3-4 years now.. Knitting for 10 yrs. And recently started sewing! Love them all! Thanks for the new pattern. Beautiful colors.❤
My grandma taught me how to crochet when I was 8 years old. I've been crocheting off and on for 59 years. Boy, when I say it like that it sure makes me feel old! Love your videos and your yarns and patterns. Thank you so much!
Hello dear yarnie friend 🧡, now that I get to stay at home, I have more time to enjoy crocheting. Love learning new stitches. Been crocheting for about 15 years. Love your patterns, thank you and God bless 😊
Good morning!!! Beautiful shawl, I love the colors!!! I started crocheting back in 1999 and also started knitting about 6 years after that. Thank you for all of your inspiration!❤
I have been crocheting for over 40 years, with a big interruption in the middle when I had my kids, and they were little. I got back into it a few years ago when my daughter starting to show interest in the fiber arts and encouraged me to go back to crocheting. So glad she did! Found had that crocheting had evolved way beyond doilies while I was away and I'm loving it! ❤ And I want to mention that the Starlight Hues kit is gorgeous! 🤩
Hi, Chandi, hope you're having a lovely time with your guests. I've actually only been crocheting for about 7 years. My grandmother got me hooked on knitting when I was still in single digits, but I never got past the basics of crochet until I became an adult. I've been almost nonstop ever since. My fiber art is my zen time, and I've long since lost track of the number of things I've knitted or crocheted.
Good morning! I am 47 years old and have been crocheting since I was about eight years old. I crochet, Tunisian crochet or knit every single day. I am grateful for this craft and the fiber community.
Good morning Beauty! I’ve been crocheting about a year now, taught myself by watching YT videos! I’m absolutely obsessed with shawls! My favorite thing so far!😊
I am almost 74 years old and I have been crocheting since before I was a young "Brownie" Girl Scout. My wonderful Zia Lana taught me how to crochet. I love creating and trying new patterns and yarn. I love watching Chandi's videos. She has such a soothing voice and way about her.
Started learning simple crochet at age 10 or 12, so it's been life long. 55 or 57 years of mostly self teaching with some guidance from my Grandmother . Gram did superb dollies in delicate crochet cotton. I never did master that fine guage of work. I cherish her pieces
Beautiful!! Love the colors in the kit! I’ve been crocheting since I was a child, knitting for about 20 years, weaving since the ‘70’s and many other crafts. Thanks for sharing this beautiful piece and making it simple for everyone! ❤️
I’ve been crocheting since I was a little girl following in my momma’s footsteps. She will be celebrating her 90th Christmas (I’m 66) and I crocheted her a deep red cardigan. Red being one of her favorite colors. She’s beautiful and it will look wonderful on her!♥️
A neighbor my mother took care of taught me how to make dishcloths when I was eight. She was the sweetest lady, and I always think of her when I work. I'm getting certified to teach yoga so I absolutely love this idea of setting and intention while you crochet. Thank you so much for all of the beautiful creations you share.
Lovely simple pattern. I've been crocheting for 58 years. My maternal (ambidextrous) Grandma taught me when I was 6 or 7. My mom is left-handed, I'm a 'righty'. Even though I can make complicated crocheted items, I still enjoy simple projects. Thank you! Blessings!
Love this pattern. I’ve been crocheting about 20 years. Now that I’m retired I have so much more time to create. Your beautiful yarn inspires me so much
Another stunner! ❤ I've been crocheting over 10 years, teaching myself from TH-cam videos from amazing content creators and channels like yours, for which I am so grateful 😊
My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was a little girl, and I have been crocheting off and on ever since. My mom also crocheted, so we often made things together, like crocheted jewelry. Even though I've been crocheting 65+ years, I like to keep it simple! Thanks for this lovely pattern!
My gtandmother taught me to crochet & knit. I fell away from it then picked up crochet again in 2015. Then picked up knitting from you when you demonstrated the quick style that you use! Love both crochet & knitting! ❤ Thank you for the wonderful patterns!
I just learned to crochet about two years ago. I was inspired to learn after seeing so many gorgeous patterns from EFA and on the Facebook fans site. This group has so many helpful, kind, and talented people in it!
I learned to crochet at 8, but I really became involved with it 11 years ago. I love doing the moss/linen stitch. It's really is so soothing and beautiful. I enjoy using yarn with medium to long color changes. Thank you for the pattern ❤
Good morning, I started crocheting late in life; after my children were all grown up and on their own. I have been crocheting for about 7 years now. I agree with you, crocheting is relaxing and I feel very satisfied that my time was well spent.
What an awesome way to use up leftover stock. I have been crocheting off and on for 30 years. Now that I'm retired, I crocheting al.ost every day. I love the way it resets my mind and challenges my creativity. I love listening to you describe your fibers and patterns. Thank you for another wonderful pattern and color scheme. Have a blessed day
Hello! While I learned the basics of crochet in high school over 30 years ago, I enjoyed knitting more. I decided to try crochet again 3 months ago, and fell in love! Now I can't get enough! I'm excited to try this pattern. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful pattern and even more beautiful yarn! I learned to crochet from my aunt when I was 10 but really picked it up when I was 17, so about 16 years ago!
lovely pattern! i’ve been crocheting since i was 8, learned watching my neighbor crochet. now i’m learning new to me stitches from your patterns, tysm!
I've been crocheting for around 60 years. I love combining knitting and crochet in one piece. I've made a number of designs from EFA. I love your yarns. This stole you've presented today is so simple and so elegant at the same time.
I have been crocheting for about a bit over 2 years now. I was an avid knitter but started to dabble on the craft of crochet and love it better. Love the kit that's being used for this pattern. All the colors go together do well. Thanks for another great pattern
My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was young, and I taught myself to knit a few years ago. I knit the Worth Wrap earlier this year, and it was such a relaxing knit. I think the crochet version will have to be next. Thank you for a lovely new pattern!
I learned a little when I was a child, but I have been obsessed with crochet and especially fiber for about 4 years now. I absolutely love you, your yarns, patterns, and the amazing way you inspire people with your wonderful words of encouragement. Thank you so much Chandi, for all you do and share with the fiber community. You are truly a treasure and a blessing!
I learned to crochet by a friend I have been doing for the past 40 years When I need to relax I just take out my hook and start crocheting Love all your designs Thanks for sharing ❤
Thanks to your kind and soothing videos, I learn to crochet about 5 years ago. I just had finished my residency and started to practice as a psychiatrist. So it turned to be a nice addition to knitting and all together, a way to release the tension and be mindful of myself. Thanks for your kindness and wonderful project! Your simplicity is just what makes me happy to look at all your videos! 🪷
I have been crocheting and knitting for 40 years. Self taught before computers and you tube. 😊 I love your videos and patterns. Thanks for all that you do! ❤
This is such a beautiful pattern and I love how it looks much more intricate than it actually is with just using a single crochet 😍. I have been crocheting for 5 years now 😊! I learned through TH-cam 🤗
I'm almost 50 but taught myself to crochet in lockdowns. I just made my mum your Renata shawl for her 70th birthday this week and she cried she loved it so much. I'm now teaching myself to knit as well!
Beautiful FRIYAY to all. What a lovely easy pattern. Got my creative juices flowing. I’ve been crocheting over 59 years, not to age myself. Learned from the old Learn to Crochet books!
I have been crocheting since I was a child. I watched my mom and taught myself. I am in my 60's now and in bad health. Crocheting has been such a joy. I adore yarn more than I do shoes. Yes, my hubby is happy for that. I am still learning basics and slowly beginning to understand the 'language'. I will begin a fancy stitch but will forget how it worked if I put it down. So I have not been crocheting as much. But your shaw is so very lovely I really want to try. If I watch your video a few more times I hope to have it down. Thanks for keeping it simple. ❤
I love how you work with colors and create simple yet beautiful patterns❤ Ever since I picked up crocheting in 2019, there has been no turning back. Thank you for sharing your creations with us! Happy holidays!
I’ve been crocheting since I was a teenager, now I’m 77 and love to keep my hands busy. I love having these simple patterns to make these projects and of course with your beautiful yarns to make special gifts for my family.
Such a smart idea to add a "mantra" 🎉 I've started crochet maybe a decade ago as a well accessible creativity outlet. Just needling away. Then, years nothing. Until A few years back it popped up again as one of the few mere constructive things that could be done in moments not much else could and since then it has stuck it's head out as meditative, earthing activity and practical problem solver too. To help Shine it up, Sparkle ✨ And you're such a blessing on that front!
I learned very young, only making a few things through the years. I picked it back up again I a couple of years ago and haven’t stopped. Finding beautiful yarn was a key to making beautiful things!
Hi, I learned crochet en knitting as a child, I am crafty eversince, with crochet, knitting, drawing, painting etc. I love creating things, that makes me so happy. A few years ago I discoverd Tinna from Iceland and Made a few of her blanket designs. Last year I finally learned how to knit socks and along the way I have learned al lot of skills I picked op from different knitting podcast. I love your lovely e-mails, a joy to read. Greetings from the Netherlands, Karin

I’ve been crocheting for 5 years in my 50s but also crocheted as a teen. Love this pattern!

I'm almost 50 but taught myself to crochet in lockdowns. I just made my mum your Renata shawl for her 70th birthday this week and she cried she loved it so much. I'm now teaching myself to knit as well!

I've been crocheting for 2 years now. I am addicted 😊
Thank you for the video. I've been crocheting for only a year. It's so very relaxing!
I love how you work with colors and create simple yet beautiful patterns❤ Ever since I picked up crocheting in 2019, there has been no turning back. Thank you for sharing your creations with us! Happy holidays!
I have been crocheting over 30 years. Thanks Chandi!
