  • Got to finish setting up the countyline 4' rotary cutter on my kubota bx3680 tractor. I took it to the lower level and attacked some extreme over grown weeds and brush.

    Don't forget Joe, with that tail sticking out behind you, when you turn left, the cutter will swing to the right, and vice versa. Be careful when mowing up against fences, trees or whatever, when you turn you'll whack something! Don't ask me how I know, lol!

    Hey Joe that finish mower sucks to remove. Send it back and get a 3-point finish mower. If your not cutting grass they are in the way. They have to come off in winter to move snow. That cutter will cut more than you think. Make the top link a bit longer your carrying the wheel to much the mower should ride on the rear wheel.. Have fun.

    Watch your hydro cooling fan, Joe. The thing is plastic and one piece of debris in the wrong place will take it out. Some guys are making skid plates. You might even be able to buy a skid plate..

  • @bendigr
    @bendigr ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You can put a slip clutch on the cutter and not need shear pins. Tractor Supply has the slip clutches. Bolts right on.

    • @StBernardAcres
      @StBernardAcres  ปีที่แล้ว

      +Spring Hollow If this becomes a problem, I just might. I won’t be abusing it much I hope.

    • @wildbill23c
      @wildbill23c ปีที่แล้ว

      That is exactly what I would do. The slip clutch is about $300 but worth it to avoid all the down time replacing shear bolts. The downside to a slip clutch is you have to slip it before you start using it at the beginning of the season to make sure its not rusted up.

      @@StBernardAcres I only have to change mine out once in a blue moon. You might go through a few the first time you cut, but then you will be able to mark the no-go places, such as big rocks poking up. Yours looks even easier to change than the one on my 5' Woods since it isn't all covered up with idiot guards. Any time you saw trees, cut them as flush with the ground as possible so that you can mow right over the stump. Lot better to get them so you can mow over than having to go around every time you mow, not only because of the extra time maneuvering around but also you don't give new trees a spot to get started again.
