THIS is the version to do a reaction to. Watching this slight guy, that looks like a 16 year old sing with that cavernous sound with so much power, and with such ease…it's crazy. The slow breakdown when he goes from speaking to "f'cking tired," back to speaking to "bleed for me..." It's incredible.
Jerry Cantrell is such an absolute beast of a guitar player. His feel is off the charts and his solos live are always so on point and accurate... I've always said he can do more with a single not than most player can do with ten or more! In light of recent events, I'd love if you could do a Van Halen reaction. The song "I'm The One" is their most 🔥 imo. Have a good day brotha
Welcome to Alice In Chains LIVE AT THE MOORE 1990, Layne Staley in his prime. The Moore is a venue in Seattle that has GREAT acoustics. Love Hate Love live at the Moore 1990 is from this show and to me is UNTOUCHABLE PERFECTION played live by a rock band. All other bands should strive to have a show this perfect. Layne Staley's vocal range (G1-D7, 5 octaves, 3 notes, 1 semitone) can run rings around any other grunge singer (including Chris Cornell) in MY OPINION. Layne could sing the phone book and never hit a wrong note. Even at the end of his life, with no teeth and a lisp, his voice, wit and humor were all still there. Layne's voice and vocal range was so powerful he did NOT need auto tune or pro-tools until he lost his teeth and had a lisp around 1998, and even then he still killed the vocals. Barrett Martin (who played with Layne in Mad Season) said that when he stood to the side of the stage, he could hear the sound of Layne vocal resonance come out of Layne's body LOUDER than it did coming out of the speakers, Layne's voice was that powerful. My Top 20 AIC songs... Love Hate Love (Live at the Moore, December 1990...Layne Staley in his prime), Man in the Box (Live at Weedsport, NY 1991 - the Layne’s Pissed Version...though the original version may be better to react to, because Weedsport was during Clash of the Titans tour where Slayer fans were giving the band crap and Layne got pissed and changed the lyrics), Bleed the Freak (Live at the Moore, December 1990), It Ain’t Like That (if you need a video use Singles Pro Shot video), Real Thing (Live ANYWHERE), Them Bones, God Smack (Live at Hollywood Rock, 1993), Grind, Again, No Excuses, Brush Away, Frogs, Sludge Factory (During MTV Unplugged 1996, Layne screwed up the 2nd verse like 8 times, though the show only included one of those times), What the Hell Have I, God Am, Got Me Wrong, Swing On This, Social Parasite, We Die Young. I removed Queen of the Rodeo because that's not exactly politically correct these days.
@Tom Waits They weren't a FAVORITE, but I liked them enough to admire Maynard's singing ability and have MP3 versions of songs I liked, but not a full album. I really liked A Perfect Circle.
@Tom Waits They've been talking about earthquakes, etc finally getting California to break off and fall into the ocean for a generation or two. And the more California degenerates into a cesspool and especially the vapid actors/actresses in LA are, you could chisel California off between the California/Nevada border and California/Oregon border and just let it fall into the ocean.
@Tom Waits Yeah, San Francisco has gotten pretty bad over the years. What it's turned into now, makes the Bohemian mecca of the Haight-Ashbury district back in the 60s seem like heaven. I've been to California when I was younger and wilder. Late teens/early 20s. I stayed with friends there in LA. You couldn't PAY me to move to California now. Especially now that every new house has to waste money on those damn solar panels that do nothing other than make politicians feel good.
Still cruising your playlist. You being a bassist there better be some Primus! If not, you need to get on that shit right away. Les Claypool will blow your mind!

Jerry, Fucking, Cantrell. No introduction needed, his music speaks for itself. 🔥🔥🔥

Came for AiC, subscribed immediately after that fire ass intro before the song even started.
Friendly suggestion to consider some Mad Season live at the Moore

@Tom Waits Why? Do you have recommendations? I'm open to recs.

Nobody will ever come close to the raw power of Layne.
I've always loved Jerry's head banging on this one. What a GREAT voice and song!💛
So beyond incredible, always been a favorite. It connects with me in rainy Autumn, particularly.

Esta noche oscura
te tortura la locura
procura estar a mi altura
aunque es baja tu estatura
tartamudas ante el miedo
que genero en el momento
que aparezco entre las sombras
y en tu mente me conecto.
Ven victima mía
siente mi presencia
no luches por tu vida
y se parte de mi esencia.
Con decencia me escabullo
y aparezco detrás tuyo
huye todo lo que quieras
porque yo siempre te escucho.
¿Tu eres Jeff The Killer?
Tu vida pende de un hilo
mientras te cortas la cara
yo te agarro y te aniquilo
has requerido
ser traumado para ser un asesino
cuando yo toda mi vida
miles de almas he obtenido.
Soy Slenderman
y puedo cambiar de forma
te conformas si te digo
que tu cara es espantosa
llevo la maldad
y la expando a tu alrededor
no requiero fuego y cúter
para causarte terror.

Tu Siempre me vigilas
creo que primero
unos ojos necesitas
veo que has notado
que soy sumamente guapo
pero no me envidies

flaco que roba niñas
eres tan malvado
eres tan entomófilo
espera la palabra que busco
es PEDOFILO!.
Crees que esos tentáculos
te hacen aterrador
pokebola ve te elijo
a ti Bulbazor
supongo que jamás
rosaste el filo de la muerte
mala suerte la tuya
el placer es excelente .
Necesito un cuchillo
y mucha gente ejecutar
mientras tu esperas
en el bosque pa' niños asustar
colocando notitas
con dibujos sin un fin
ja solo te diré
GO TO SLEEP!
