- It is a historic move and a big political gamble.
Joe Biden has dropped out of the US presidential race, after weeks of mounting pressure for him to step aside.
That leaves the Democratic party with just a few months, to re-organize its strategy and re-energize its base.
For some, Vice President Kamala Harris is the obvious choice.
But, some Democrats are questioning if she can beat Donald Trump.
So, where does this leave the Democratic party?
And will the shake-up, sway any independent voters?

I’m no supporter of Biden but this was a pretty smooth move by the democrat team. Harris is younger than Trump, making HIM now the “old man”, so that bludgeon can no longer be used. The biggest problem with Harris is that she was never a popular figure. She only made 2% during the primaries in 2020 and her approval rating as VP has been really low. I personally don’t believe she is a competent politician and won’t be voting for her, but she is the best shot the dems have at the moment.

Giving another round of stimulus, giving early returns, and not tightening the fiscal policy instead going about and increase spending in an economy that was clearly overheating? Then there are other major problems that made surviving every day, like surviving a hungry lion.

We were becoming energy independent again under trump, Biden was elected and we went straight back to being dependent, just like he's dependent on his caretakers. Which makes the economy worse. He has made so much inflation that most Americans are drowning just to live a mediocre life. Biden never delivers on anything anyway Trump did a great job for our country and he should be president again. He's old but he's the best option we have
