In my "Home town" of Adelaide, South Australia, as a kid, the whole city's horse regiment consisted of "police greys".....they were a popular and beautiful sight at police involved parades.. ..and doing routine street work( walking their Beat) as well as crowd control.....Have always admired Grey's!! I love how while Sjors isnt a stallion proper anymore, he still gets to have a herd to take care of and engage in that natural behavior, herding the mares around and overall being protective of them. Sjors is such a good boy I love him
@@anonymixx8106 it’s interesting. Sjors still has protective instincts but isn’t « obnoxious » . We once had a gelding at a stable who was « cut proud » as they say. Whenever mares were in heat he went crazy and wanted to breed them all…

Poor Waloubet just wants to say hello to her neighbours, but Sjors keeps chasing her away. I think they are all jealous of her, she is really a beautiful mare. Thank you Yvonne for sharing this- it made my day.
Waloubet is so beautiful. 🥰 How fun to see her playing with Myrthe like that! And Grandpa Sjors is very protective of his mares and foals. He is doing what he thinks best to keep them all safe! ❤
It makes me sad that Waloubet can't be part of the herd. That belonging is so important to the other horses. And she is clearly delighted to have someone play with her! What fun to see her interacting with her hooman Myrthe. They seem to have a lovely bond. Even Sjors is so happy to be part of the herd. It's making him feel young, I think, to have a job protecting the mares and foals! He's a beautiful horse, and in such great shape for a pake. He's giving us a glimpse into Risy's future!
I actually wonder if maybe this might end up being RS's future, now that Yvonne owns him. I'm not sure if she'd keep him intact as a stallion, as that limits where she can keep him. But he could happily stay at Stal G if gelded, and it looks like they're having a good experience with Sjors here.

I used to play with my horse too, just like Myrthe and Waloubet. I would even build her little jumps and she would just run through the paddock and jump really high over them. Great memories! I loved seeing Waloubet in this video, she definitely deserves to be in the picture as well ;-)

Watching my nephew Pake Sjor’s move takes my breath away he is one majestic firecracker utterly devoted to his ladies and grand foals he makes my heart soar I love him so much. The end of the video had me smiling Waloubet may not always be comfortable around other horses but it’s clear she loves her girl Myrthe enjoying their little game of chase that’s one happy girl who has a strong bond with her human it’s so sweet and fun to watch them together. Horses are such beautiful creatures who have so much to share with us if you earn their trust you’ll have their heart forever I only hope someday I’ll have that same privilege with a horse of my own.💖💖🥰🥰

@@kimberlyearly8918 I definitely agree with you on this horses are truly incredible creatures they have done so much for and with us since the dawn of time they are so much more than just animals but they are our partners,friends,teachers and soulmates it’s amazing how gentle and tender they can be yet they can also be strong,powerful and intense all at once. I’ve never had the honor of having one to call my own yet horses have found their way into my heat from the time I can remember one day the very first movies I saw when I was 8 was the 2006 movie Flicka it totally captivated me(I still love it and even though I’m almost 24 I still like to go back and watch it)and that was it I fell in love since then I’ve read as many horses books as I can both fiction and nonfiction I just wanted to learn as much as I can about these special beings as possible.🥰🥰

Waloubet is well cared for and although I don’t know her full history or why she’s alone (Yvonne mentioned she was kind of a loner)I do know that all at Stal G don’t do anything specific with the horses that is unusual without a valid reason and this also extends to Myrthe so for Waloubet to be on her own ther is likely a good reason for it. Myrthe spends a lot of time with her riding and doing other things so they have a very strong bond and that is also very important Shannon Moderator.
@@shannondominguez9725 I saw on one of the videos they tried to put Waloubet in a field with Frieda, Hester, and Geertje (I think), but they basically chased her out of the pasture - Yvonne said they had to remove her as she was getting stressed out. Looks like none of the Friesians (and Sjors) are willing to accept her for some reason?…

I know that I experienced it in clubs and group situations, that no matter what, various cliques had firm boundaries and no way open to interaction with myself and some others. I have learned a lot about horses by watching this channel.

I had a grey half draft named Chance 5 years ago and he acted just like Sjors when there was mares and foals and at time he was 32 years old, sadly I had to put him down because he developed heart problems I miss him a lot. I love your channel and all of your videos.
