Couldn't help the shade on most pop stars, but when I hear one of the true queens of music, it pisses me off that singing has sunk to the level it has now.
I got the to see this amazing lady SANG in Seattle Gay Pride. The tape that was supposed to play her music and backing vocals messed up I think in the middle of her second song. This woman showed us why she is EVERYTHING and more by singing to us clapping can singing backup (and you KNOW there was more than a few tone deaf ppl singing loudly). Ms. Wash was never off key, showed all kinds of love and was apologetic to the audience, but most importantly, she wore us out with her flawless a capella show. No dancers or music needed. Let's just say EVERYONE was happy.
