I agree with you he's inferior to Maki, Fukatsu, Itakura BUT he put up a good fight against Fujima who's closer to his size. Considering his growth during the Sannoh game and the fact that Maki, Fujima and Fukatsu are all gone him and Itakura become the 2 best PGs in Slam Dunk with Miyagi as the 3rd year captain. With Anzai as a coach and seeing what he did to Sakuragi's jump shot it's not hard to consider that he could work on that and become a decent shooter for his final year. Now that Akagi and Mitsui are gone for Miyagi's last year he will have much bigger part in the offense and will shine a lot more as an individual talent. His size will always remain an issue but he will become a Fujima type of player as he grows under Anzai which is good enough to be top 2 PG in Slam Dunk.
