@@walkrwalkr3622 Pretty sure when people say super teams they are talking about 3 stars. Luka and Ky work because they can swap between whose 1 and whose 2. As a european, sometimes it is strange looking at a NBA roster. Here we build teams for heavy rotations. Usually teams have 12 strong players that devide the minutes between them, and in any game, any player can be the difference maker. Most players don't play 30 minutes out of 40.
NBA is more focused in acquiring stars. I understand that is very good for selling jerseys, but then you have 3 starts playing with below average players. The Bulls are paying less then 10M for Alex Caruso. I would like to see a team building a roster with 12-13 Alex Caruso type players. I think it would be a fun experiment.

  • @RandomAxeOfKindness

It's not the CBA per se -- it's that the top salaries are just disproportionate to the salary cap. Yes, I personally think superstars who ought to win should forego $10 million a year (they'll still make plenty) to guarantee that their supporting cast will be strong, but that's a separate issue. The league has made it so that superstars, on average, are detrimental to roster health. It's a little stupid. BUT, also, keep in mind that a lot of GMs want to make money more than they want to win, and even having a fragile superstar who won't get you into the playoffs might sell more tickets over the season than a no-superstar team that makes it to the second round.

Those analytics guys focused on offense. They figured defense from a top team wasn’t that different from a bottom team. I’m the 90s you didn’t get one the floor if you couldn’t play defense. The ability to score certain ways however made a difference.
So what did players do? They focused on what the geniuses were telling everyone and getting paid.
Now, the reserve has happened. Everyone is a shooter in today’s league but the teams that play excellent defense are shining.

I’ll tell you why. It’s because the NBA is the only league where they let the players play the role of GM. Look at Kawhi for instance. He tells the Clippers who he wants on the team, who to trade, etc. Lebron, KD, they all do it. Players recruit one another in the offseason and tell their respective teams who to sign and who to trade for. The NBA is notorious for it. It has gotten out of hand.

Those teams are "failing" because they didn't have good coaches or coaches that fit the teams. I have no idea why Phoenix hired Frank Vogel when he hasn't shown that he can coach a team well on offense. Also why are teams only looking at coaches under contract or coaches that were just fired? Why don't they try to get coaches like Mark Jackson, Mike Woodson, Kenny Atkinson or even Mike D'Antoni...who would likely work in Phoenix with 3 stars who can score. Mark Jackson would be a better option though because of D'Antoni's lack of defense. The Lakers could go for Mark Jackson or Mike Woodson too.
Also why aren't these teams getting centers who can defend or finish at the rim or point guards that can get players the ball in their sweet spots and draw defenders as they cut to the rim then kick the ball out? That's what the Timberwolves and the Knicks realized.
The Suns and the Lakers can go out and get those types of players whether in the G League, overseas, out of teams' rotations or coming off the bench. If they want guys in the league, I would tell Phoenix to get 2 of these guys: Quentin Grimes, Caris LeVert, Andre Drummond, Immanuel Quickley, Jericho Sims, Precious Achiwua or Jonas Valanciunas.
The Lakers should get 2 of these guys: Jericho Sims, Quentin Grimes, Caris LeVert, Immanuel Quickley, Kelly Oubre Jr., Bobby Portis, Brook Lopez, Collin Sexton, Keldon Johnson, Precious Achiwua, JaVale McGee or Marcus Smart.
These 2 teams don't need much to improve. Both of them also need more shooters. They can move role players to get them. If Gabe Vincent is still good after his last injury, maybe he can do better on the Lakers next season though.

There was allways at least one dynasty in the NFL... before and after the cap rules. The Patriots were a dynasty for 20 years throughout the 2000's and 2010's, now the Chiefs are in the 2020's. Other teams won 1 or 2 championships over that timespan, but the Patriots still dominated overall, the same way the Chiefs do now. And I dont get why thats bad. It has nothing to do with jealousy, but with fairness. I wanna see a OKC dynasty where they win 3 titles in 5 years, or an Orlando dynasty. Just to name the 2 very young PO teams in both conferences. How about another Spurs dynasty around a generational big? Or a Luka/Dallas dynasty?
Dynasties will and can still happen, the teams will just be built differently. Over the draft and with more consistency. 2010-14 Heat will not happen anymore, or 2008 Celtics. And thats a good thing. And (hopefully) older stars will understand one thing. If they want to compete late in their careers... they have to take paycuts. Make your money (while trying to win) in your 20's, take lesser and lesser money in your 30's to compete late in your career. Why does 39 years old Lebron still need a 50 Mio contract? Dude is worth 1.2 billion right now! Him on a 20 mio contract and the Lakers would have way better chances. Or Durant? Signed a Max contract at 34... sign a 50/2 deal and either the Nets, or now the Suns, would be in WAY better positions building around hm!

PLAYERS WANT TO GET PAID FIRST AND IF THEY CAN WIN A RING, FINE.
USE TO BE THE RING, PAY CAME AFTERWARDS.
THERE'S NO NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS OR OLD GREEN BAY PACKERS, IN BASKETBALL 😩

Theae teams are failing for the same reason team USA keeps failing. They think you can stack a team with stars and just win. But they ignore the fact that it's role players who need to fit in and do the dirty work that push you over the edge. All these teams think they need 3-4 first that can score 30 a night, when in reality they need most of their team to be guys who dive on the floor or chase down the fastbreak or get the hard rebound in the critical moment. None of these high paid scoring machines do any of that. They all just want to jack up 3s all game and score meaningless points in blowout games.

They aren’t one of the highest paying teams in the league. They will be next year though when ANT new contract kicks in

I can't believe the Lakers raised a banner for their in-season tournament "title."

Just show u these billionaires and millionaires failed to predict future performance. Failures all of them. Had they hired me or someone with the skills we would have did a Process Capability Index analysis and got the results and known this would happen well before it happened and prevented it. That’s why you have Process Capability Index. To predict future performance through validation previous results. Each team failed, Warriors, Lakers and Suns. That’s not a coincidence. Had I been the owner of the Warriors Joe Lacob, Peter Gruber, Mike Dunleavy Jr and Steve Kerr would all be terminated. When shit falls down hill it started at the top first. After that players would be pulled in 1x1 to discuss expectations moving forward and that for the time being the Offensive coach would be the interim coach for now. I would walk into the manager quarters and verify Joe, Peter, Steve and Mike were packing up. After they out the building structure, leadership and authority is in the building. Steph u at point, Klay you at the 2, Draymond 4, Wiggs 3 and I’m hiring a true big in a week. Trades coming soon fyi. But before real change can come I need those 4 jokers out of the building. Weak men can tear a house down not for reacting but failure to act.

Wow. Another talking head channel. I mean do you all have meetings and discuss what y'all can and cannot discuss in these videos. Talk about talking just to hear your own voice. Payroll has nothing to do with the lack of talent in the league right now. I find it funny that just because certain players only have like one or two rings their salary goes all the way up while their skills and talent go all the way done. It just makes zero sense that salary or the current CBA is even used as a talking point when it's more of an excuse. There is more to this than fucking money 🤦

Yeah, you clearly didn’t listen or understand the jist of the video. Money is NOT the problem, it’s the structure of the CBA that doesn’t allow for teams to build out well rounded rosters

Clown The nuggets and Celtics most likely won’t make it to finals you dudes either make old videos or don’t watch nba just highlights like Denver looks depleted and the only real help is refs and Celtics ? 🤦 I rather not see them in finals they lose against any & every team no matter what they record is or who they got 😂
