It's the same inputs as with normal Roadblock, you just need to press the second button fast enough.

yeah I am able to shield bash but a lot of times I end up recalling my shield cuz I didn't press it fast enough 😢

The scores you're managing to achieve nowadays suggests that these alpha variants might be a bit power-crept.

They are definitely overtuned, a lot of the alpha variants have the main weaknesses of the normal suit removed, or otherwise an absurd amount of damage. For example Roadblock alpha gains more mobility and a ranged attack.
