You need another Yellow Jacket tool to get the gasket out of your Yellow Jacket tool. Honestly though I like your idea of upgrading just the gauges on the traditional manifold. I only use the yellow Jacket heat pump manifold which both the red and the blue analog gauges read up to 800psi. Handy for trouble shooting restrictions and whatnot.
These digital gauge didn’t work out well for me, not rugged at all, I bumped mine and they broken 2 days after I got them. The gauges auto turn off too early I have to continuously turning them back on. Once they turn back on I have to scroll back to the refrigerant I’m working on. It’s quite annoying.
I have a yellow jacket manifold with knob on the side. So its clockwise to close and counter clockwise to open. For some reason when i open the low pressure side, refrigerant are not being added. Any ideas?
I have been asking whoever has them and no one can give me a straight up answer, is the P/T conversions accurate?!?! i haven’t heard they aren’t in comments and reviews but what do you think?
Looks cool was on the fence on those gauges how much and can it take a bump or two and not get haywire on you??!! Those robinair digital was pricy n looked weak these YJ look tougher time will tell follow-up review needed 👍😉
As a tech in the trade I’m stuck between buying these ones or just sucking it up and buying a fully digital set like the testo 550 or sman3 or 4. What would you suggest?
Kind of silly how one gauge cost 135 when your needing two.... $270... And the WHOLE set with the brass.. it's 280... They do it one purpose so you can get the whole set

When turning the gage on, I can see SC and SH, superheat and subcooling?
no, there are no temp clamps
Why then they display temp?
Hi,,,nice video,,can you used those for vacuum the sistems ? I think to get one set,,,
You should really use a vacuum gauge
Nice setup
Where can I find the tools to take those rubber gaskets out.
Your local supplier that carries YJ or Amazon
Order it from your local YJ supplier or Amazon has them too

Gene K they have rubber sleeves around them, I'm sure they can handle a little bump here and there, not 100% on the cost, these were demo sets

If you believe in digital go full out with the 550
I want them but cant find them
Do you have a YJ supplier? Ask them to order them for you.
These look theyd be good stubby gauges too
How did you do the install? Is there Plummer tape used? Baby steps. Thanks
texture6 the threads come pre wrapped. I use Nylog Blue as well to ensure a tight seal
@@HVACKnowItAll Do you cover the thread tape with Nylog Blue or just the mating surfaces?
@@yetanotheaverageguy you can do that yes
Its been a year how durable are these gauges?
They've bounced around in my van and still good. It's also how you treat them

Should just read -29hg or zero. You shouldn’t pull a vacuum threw gauges anyways they are meant for pressure
