he's the best musician of our time imo, he's a lyrical genius, a poet, he's talented, experimental, unafraid
amen..
UNAFRAID! EXPERIMENTAL! nailed it
sour angel bon iver is a band tho...
I know lol been listening to them since 2009, just referring to Justin here
I disagree. I love him, but that's not true.
The women who broke his heart made this man one of the best artists of this generation

^laid my phone down in my bed and listened to the entire song, picked up my phone to restart the song and saw that this is what my bed had to say to your comment... I think it likes it
@@jonnym.798 There are about a hundred excellent Bon Iver song titles for Justin to choose from for the next record in that comment.
@@jonnym.798 it actually looks like a bon iver track name hahahah
Fact.
His falsetto is so clean, it’s incredible

fun fact little finger from game of thrones plays in the last link i did post and sigur ros band played in the mariage of joffrey baratheon i leaved got before it hit 4th season but i found it out later this band through looking facts about got and its characters
@@HeLrAiSiNg1 Yea man, Jonsi is also incredible
His voice is even better live, how
Autotune
Ikr wtf
@@supragraf autotune would be oversimplified, its Prismizer invented just for his style of vocal
This is insane
Dont hate me but I think this was their best album yet
Tiarnán I agree with you 100%
I cant get enough of it.
I think so too
I can agree with that!
Broooo it's so good. People are just closed minded
hey, you like what you feel, ya know? I don't agree with you, but you love good music.. I've healed so much within Bon Iver's sounds.. saw them in St. Augustine a few weeks ago... and... tears.
This song, particularly this rendition makes me feel the way I do after a really good cry. Fresh, like some weight has been lifted and hopefull. But still at the back of my throat and body the felling of sadness has not yet gone and the memory of being upset lingers. A kind of beautiful melancholy I guess....
Emma Cleveland well said
I cried. I watched again. And i cried again. I crieded
Don't be a crybaby 😡
😔😢
I feel you 😢💓💓
Oh good, I'm not the only one lol
first time i've really gave Bon Iver an honest listen this is really good
Welcome :)
You're in for a treat. I'm a little jealous - wish I could discover the genius all over again.
There's an entire concert on here labeled 'Bon Iver: Full Concert l NPR MUSIC FRONT ROW' that's well worth checking out.
That's the best sounding, most beautifully captured live show on video I've ever seen .. Normally live recordings don't do justice.
You should listen to all his 3 albums dude
What a version. The smile of the guy on the left when justin starts singing and the crowd goes wild..he knows this is the shit..love it.
that guy’s smile says everything. Thanks for noticing
I’m a massive Bon Iver fan, and the fact that Justin is wearing an O’s hat in this made me love him even more.
I cannot put into words what this man makes me feel. I’m not religious but I believe there is occasionally a musical genius like this man that brings out the best in people. Like Bob Marley, one in a million. 🙏✌🏻💜🌎🌍🌏
Melanie Brion 22, In A Million
3 a.m and I surrender to the ethereal beauty of this song. I accept everything. It makes my heart cry in the most beautiful way.
Honestly one of the most tranquil sax solos
Oh God it's a heart pouring its deepest feeling
Goosebumps, sigh, sweetness.
This is one of their best moments ever. I could have been there but I picked up a shift at work. I will forever regret it.
Bon Iver's music are so simple and free and genuine and it speaks to you so deep. Would love to see them / him live someday.
If you get the chance by all means take it. You won't regret it.
Great Live performance.
BON Iver are so talented.
Absolutely blew me away.
Pretty sure I’m in love with this man
One of my favorite songs of all time.
Justin Vernon is simply a genius artist. Thank you for your music 😁❤
Holocene gets me every time. great artist.
Raimy Winter try the live version of #29 Strafford apartments
That sax solo god damn
His songs are beyond imagination
I’m witnessing greatness.
What a performance of a belter of a tune!
This is such a spiritual song. It’s just so beautiful
This is true goosebump material. Excause me for picking up me jaw right about here.
I still get chills after over a year of hearing this song :)
I come here mostly for the goosebumps but also for the cheeky smile at 0:55 from the saxplayer behind Justin
Stephanie Wieseler - she’s an incredible sax player.
This song makes me tear up nearly every time I listen to it, including when I was at Rock the Garden.
What a song! What a solo!
The fact that this guy is so divisive and misunderstood by so many people.......just makes him more appealing to me personally. All REAL geniuses have that quality I think. They are operating out in that area right on the edge of reality where it meets the unknown and intangible and they pull it into something coherent. Some people get it, some people don’t.
Why is he divisive? Seems super chill to me.
I think he could be perceived as divisive based on the fact he is left leaning… I agree he seems super chilled by nature. This is perhaps why I was saying he is misunderstood, he just comes across as someone who cares about humanity but because he has political allegiances with the democrats he is at risk of being seen as some sort of political commentator. Also, in my original comment I was more referring to the fact that there seems to be groups of people (like me) who think he is a musical genius, and others who really don’t rate him at all. Dylan has always suffered from the same Judgement I think.
@@Moggy1980 interesting take… he’s definitely a musical genius. I’m a conservative but could give two shits about that honestly. Judging someone for something other than their job or character is for the birds man. So annoying being from my generation where that’s all people care about… people gotta get back to the stuff that matters in this world. It should be normal for people to disagree on policy and still have a beer at a concert… sadly, not anymore my friend
@@TheRingKeeper couldn’t agree more…I was very left leaning when I was younger and have changed as I have aged, but I certainly wouldn’t judge a musician on their beliefs either way. social media etc means that people are scrutinised like never before on whatever they say or do these days so I guess there isn’t much that can be done about it. Anyway, peace to you brother ✌🏻
I didn't want the sax solo to end!! I don't know about you but this song sings of the urgency to experience life before its too late.
shaneomac151 take a listen to the sax solo in 45 - went to their concern last week and it was purely amazing!!
They have the best vocal harmonies I’ve ever seen and hear.
Have heard this song many times here or there-but when I hear it here, I hear it like I've never heard it before
i wish it never ended
One of my fav Artist of all time tbh...
3.41 mins of perfection
This performance is absolutely stellar and so beautiful. Shout-out to Black Market Brass folks sharing in the joy.
Really fantastic version of this great track.. Really cool to see it "come to life".. a lot of care has been taken here and i think he / they nailed it.
the whole song is the glowing ember on a chunk of wood and the sax revives the flames on it
This song has a strange reminder of what death may be like. My closest brush was with DMT and after I experienced it to their song 'woods' I realized just how musical wisdom this man carries in his spirit. He inspires so many raw emotions every single time I play his music. This song reminds me how close we are to our deadline.
Cj Vergara this song is a message. It’s about me..as I am the Omega. I just turned 23...it’s coming soon.
Cj Vergara he’s the human version of dmt
Thanks for that.
The sound is incredibly good.
This album is incredible. The previous albums have been so real they make you step into a place and reconsider everything you have ever thought possible. 22, A Million has taken this approach on music in it of itself to bring light to something so beautiful it transcends through human nature to enlighten souls and capture emotions long lost or buried deep. This album will play out as one of the most influential pieces to modern music in this century.
Vocabulary doesn’t have the ability to express the creativity of these amazing souls
Absolutely insane, it just feels like I should be be crying all the time.
His songs really do bring out the emotions. And I'm dead inside!
this album was something special because it gives you a mixed emotion through your body, both sad and happiness. i really like this!
Wow, what would I give to perform with him on the same stage...
damn that voice is perfect
How I fucking love his music.
Saw him in Oakland. SO AMAZING.
That was magical
Do I dare say better than the album version?
Nicholas Cleveland it’s seriously is man.. I can’t disagree.
This album is hands down better live. I have a new found love for it after hearing it live, especially deathbreast and creeks
Yeah I agree. I loved the album but it felt like it didn't have as much soul to me (compared to the previous albums) until I heard them perform it live and that experience just takes it up a notch. I think the live instruments and his vocals being less auto-tuned makes it better.
I dare.
Nicholas Cleveland oh for sure better
This show was pure magic.
You bet!
HOW DOES IT SOUND EVEN BETTER LIVE?!!!!! I'M CRYING.
Thats the greatest sax-playing trucker Ive ever seen
Uma obra de arte! 💕
Conheci essa música maravilhosa na série Legion, não saiu mais da minha cabeça.
Thais Sales tbm conheci pela serie
The camera man didn't know which sax player was playing lol
Yes, he was like 'fuck, I hear someone playing, but where the hell is he?! Ah there he is, but shit, now he's standing behind some things and I can't capture him"
and then the video editor was like "alright nice solo mr.saxophone HOW A-BOUUUT i switch to a close-up of the guitarist playing something we can't hear -yesss."
W.C. J I’m sure he forgot where he was lol
W.C. J lol I was gonna say something but you beat me by a year ducking bummmmmmmmmmmmer😂🙏
@@SynerggY "I better zoom in at his crotch"
Love the Orioles cap! Smalltimore represent
oh man taht man is awesome his voice ohhhhhhh i fell in love :) go on bon iver
Wow, just magical.
I love how he went from folky acoustic fellow to experimental alternative DJ lol. His music is so sick.
This dang song!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
It might be over soon. So ahead of it's time death techno on crack with poetry in it lol 🎉🎉🎉
this was amazing
when I listen to Bon Iver I feel like I have listen to God himself
thank u.
Chills! That's it!
Amazing!
Absolutely genius. He's totally experimenting sounds during a live performance
The OP-1 is love
I loved how this song was played on tv series Legion.
Covid times, it might be over soon ❤️
Mesmerising. Art. Not much better than this! Amazing
absolute tune
I like this key better than the album version's key
Seth Haycock-Poller it gives more light
Amazing artist
it builds, you get a little clarity, and then it falls apart again. This man can write a song.
So Good
i was there
At this point, I would do any thing just to watch his show live. Honestly.
can't wait till this is all over
Raimy Winter This song helped me through a really tough time. Keep your head up buddy, I hope things get better.
Mbc me too. me too
it might be over soon.
what a god damn genius
This song makes me so sad for personal reasons and memories associated w/ it but i love this song nonetheless. It really has its own life and takes up space like any soul would thats why i think it feels so heavy
AMAZING
🐐
Can’t believe I saw him performing this one live
Played in coffee shops all over the world.
And in your ears
Luke Murry it's true, I played it in mine today :)
Treycium that’s why I love coffee shops.
Watching this high put me in a trance lol
1:27 just levitated out of my chair bruh
My demons: well never let go
Bon Iver: itll all be over soon
Song is amazing... but that sax solo! Where can I find an entire album of saxophone music just like that? Just haunting saxophone, nothing else.
Dylan Longmoore like miles Davis? Idk nothin much sounds like 22 over soon
girl sax player has fire in her eyes
0:53 her smile 😍
This man, james blake, ben howard, fucking otherworldly talent

God Damn Right
Musical genius
Look at all those band nerds kickin ass
When we had gathering between friends I always play bon iver but nobody likes him i don’t why but I don’t give a shit so I put my earphones and enjoy his beautiful music alone.
Is it just me or is it just way better to listen to the live recordings of his music than watch music videos? With other artists that's not always true.
