- This was another great December weekend in Anchorage as we visited a holiday market, got delicious food, handled some chores, went to an AMAZING Christmas party, and ended up cancelling some plans we were looking forward to, because we were just too tired.
Sometimes you have to say no to plans in order to say yes to your own needs.

I personally hate white elephant gift exchanges. I always get crap. One year, I got a calendar....from like 10 years prior, it went in the trash! I always try to be thoughtful with gifts and I get crap. The 'loafers' were funny though! Hey, how can I order coffee and a super cool tumbler from Refuge coffee?

Im so sad that we cant send a card this yr. 😢 We had it all planned with a little gift. I guess I’ll save it for next yr. The postal strike is really hitting small business and rural communities hard and it sucks.
Speaking of trees, my roommate and i have decided we dont have enough tree space for all our combined ornaments. I told her about your three skinny trees, so we have decided to get two skinny trees for next year.
The Loafers were funny. Good for Sherri for doing what was best for her. It is our wedding anniversary tomorrow and we are babysitting so we were supposed to go for dinner tonight but I am under the weather so we agreed we would postpone. It is okay.
One year, our white elephant exchange someone gave a caned whole chicken and some lottery tickets and some other things, but it was a joke.
How much were those tickets to mean girls? I live in New Jersey close to Broadway and tickets are very expensive. I’m curious.😂
I went to Starbucks yesterday and it was $5.75 for a tall peppermint mocha with whip. Holy smokes that got expensive! I won't do that again anytime soon. 🤯
