Yeah, it isn’t just a character he made up, he’s a somewhat legitimate emperor of his high school’s history club through the recognition from the US education system, represented by the teacher.
@@Lloyd_lyle I stopped at the fourth series, I could tell there would never be a more climactic finale and the structure of each book was getting a bit repetitive. By then you've already explored pretty much all of the lore of the past (the fifth series really seals that off), after that it's just watching for what happens in the future. Plus it would be hard to keep one-upping the scandals.

I had the opposite problem. I became premier of my Russian club in University and kept trying to leave after 2020 took the wind out of my sails. However, no one ran against me or would vote me out of office, so I became an unintentional dictator until I resigned.
@@frenchflag9390 It kinda happened to me in Roblox, I was playing a USA political debate game thingy; Three people were randomly selected as candidates, including me and I was advocating for destroying the Earth to "end our suffering" and finally rest. The audience did NOT like that, but... both of the opposition candidates had already left the game and I was the only person they could pick, I exclaimed "SEE!! I ENDED THEIR SUFFERING" while they voted. Which I won, since they could only vote me. I became president of "the USA" in the roblox game for literally 10 seconds or so, then the next election started. At least I had a cool animation of my avatar signing a treaty while I served for 10 seconds.
Huey Long didnt ever become dictator of all of America, he was just a governor of Louisiana from what I know, and he did go for the election but it failed
The last dictator of North America? He was never a dictator at all, and trust me, there were actual dictators in Central America (which is still a part of North America).
@@kacek9196, no, but after Long was elceted governor, he ran the Louisiana state government with basically dictatorial powers. Sure, he used said powers to do good for Louisiana, like building an ungodly amount of roads, bridges, schools, hospitals, etc., importing oil into the city of Louisiana, funding night schools for people who never learned how to read, and making it so that college (or some other school level, I don't remember exactly) textbooks would be free. So, he was essentially a dictator of Louisiana, despite being very popular. But he certainly wasn't the last, seeing as how many Central American states and Mexico were dictatorships on and off throughout the Cold War.
I remember doing a similar thing in my class's mock elections. In a nutshell, I live in a multi-party nation and as such, my school had a fun project where there would be randomly picked leaders from the class to form a political party around them and run a campaign, debate with others and then, mock elections will happen. I was picked as one of the party leaders and the ideology I was assigned was... communism. Well, let's just say that I ran with it. There were two classes in the same grade, so I did a thing, where I immediately merged with the second class's communist party and thus gained double the brain power over my competetors. Next, I retexted the internationalle and named it the "interclassionale" just for the lols. The debates were fun. My country has had a communist government in the past until 1989, so most other parties stuck to the scheme of criticising them instead of my political programme, which allowed me breathing space in pointing out the hypocrisy and actually using so many funny logical fallacies to win. The day of the election finally comes and it so happens, that me and other Commies showed up with hidden nerf guns and the votes were counted (we ended with 35% so we were the ones to be asked to form a coalition). We decided to go with the social democrats and populists (which both were much much weaker in results). The SocDem ppl were actually bribed by me and impeached their leader, in turn giving me the absolute majority, which in turn allowed me to do certain things alone. We still needed the populists in the government, so we just decided to give them a list of things we will do if they agreed to the change in the constitution. Then, it was a smooth sail. First to happen was the reintroduction of death penalty, the second one was lowering the constitutional majority from 3/5 to 51%, allowing me to discard them in the process. We just pulled them up and symbolically shot the leader of the opposition, the leader of the far right party and the leader of the second biggest party, proclaiming an unipartisan Communist dictatorship of the proletariat. The teacher actually let that happen and the next class was about how democracy is a slippery thing.
That's an awesome story. Probably the only thing that would have made it better would be if a mock civil war broke out afterwards. But that's just my preference.
This… this is what I should’ve done when I was President of my Middle School’s Student Council. I was previously the VP in 7th Grade, and won 2/3rds of the vote against a furry. The teacher in charge wouldn’t let us do anything useful for the school, only using us for votes on the School Advisory Committee. We were basically a rubber stamping body for the principal, who was an absolute autocrat.
I'm currently in the process of seceding from the student administration with the help of a few bois. Wish me luck fellas Edit: We did it fellas, we managed to acomplish all our secesion goals. Thanks for all the support!

us high schools are crazy, its exactly like in the weird films and TV shows, over here people just spit everywhere and smoke behind the """temporary"""" buildings from the 70's
Truly history enthusiast moment. The closest thing i ever did in primary school was helping inciting a "fight" with the next door class then self-proclaimed myself as Commander but with no support i.e. no one cares lol. The "fight" only last minutes but the "rivalry" last for pretty much the semester.

All that's missing from this is the club being revived by a crazy person and it to fall apart even faster than the first one. Then you will have perfectly mimicked German history before the modern iteration.
Reminds me of when I rigged my high school elections. Basically, our high school was chosen to represent our state in Tunisia's kids parliament. I was popular enough to be in the top 5 candidates but the other 4 were seniors with a much better chance at winning. My solution was to rig the elections. Basically my friends went to cast their votes, then they went to the changing rooms to wear new clothes and then went back to cast other votes after an hour while looking like completly different people. One of my friends was also the son of the guy responsible for guarding the ballot box and we were able to distract him and sneak a few dozen votes as well. I bribed a few strangers with food as well but that wasn't THAT succesful. Eventually, there were 5 times as much votes as there were students in the school (apparently I wasn't the only one who tried that trick) and I came second. The school's administration didn't really care and just made him the school's representative with me being his vice-representative (which was basically a participation trophy).

I have two stories a bit like this that I want to share (They’re still ongoing but lol whatever) 1. Operation Blue Lotus (Because why not) I’m a member of our school’s quiz club, and at the beginning of this year it was in shambles. All but two of the experienced members had disappeared into thin air. We tried to make a poster to recruit new members, but it got stuck in that laborious administration line. So I found a kid who wanted to join the club and got her to send the poster around. Then I held weekly zoom sessions and started training them. All of this happened without permission from the principal, who’s an absolute dictator. So yeah. Today (Oct 2nd) I’m taking them to their first quiz. The teacher in charge of the club is gonna find out when school restarts and I’m not sure how she’ll react. But she’ll have no choice but to relent and let me continue this eventually. 2. Operation Silver I’m also a member of our school’s Model UN club. Here, the president and the committee know pretty much nothing about MUN. My best friend and I picked up some stuff from here and there, so now she’s the most experienced MUNer in the club. This ‘coup’ was her idea. So the plan was to ask the president and co to find a coach or do _something_ , and if they say no, covertly contact the little kids in the club and hold some workshops ourselves using zoom or something. Eventually we’re either gonna do a grand reveal and convince them, or wait till they graduate and pick up the presidency ourselves. For now they’ve agreed to do a workshop somehow, but we’re still ready for the coup if they don’t do it. So yeah. Good stuff.
In my hs I ran a waffle club where we would meet in the morning and make/sell waffles for 25 cents to cover costs. Damn good waffles if I say so myself. Beaten whites and hand whipped cream. it was shut down because we were blasting johney rebel... good times though
@Aliyan ✪ Same thing happened to me except the revolution had succed in some schools, Context : The school i go to is part of a christian education foundation, they have very stright rules when it comes to school works and such and this caused us to be burdened with alot of homework, this isnt that much of a problem at first but then covid came, As the teacher themselves had trouble with teaching online most of us were losing our learning rythme and were falling behind, which is worsen by the amount of homework we got. One day, together with students from other schools from the same foundation we organized one of the biggest student protest in that foundation's history, with a unique twist of holding it online, at first it started out as just some twitter hashtags but then the school reacted harshly and starts threatening students with lawsuits. This ended up backfiring because it caused our movement to be popular and we start getting more members, to organize things we start a discord group and at some point theres around 2000 members in it from all the schools in that foundation. Our petition consist of reducing the amount of homework and to respect national holidays (my school tends to ignore national holidays unless its a christian one, we live in a muslim country so we miss out on alot of holidays). Eventually some of the schools reduces its homework (with varying results) but they still didnt respect the national holiday. This is technically a success considering we didnt even have to march to our schools.
@Aliyan Hey I made the same thing, but mine lasted longer and I wasn't betrayed because I made some "movements" that U will share with you. Politics alone are not enough, you must make moves in the economy, you could start selling things (legal things, like food or school stuff), this will make people sympathize with you because now you provide something, so people will think twice about betraying or denouncing you because you will not provide them anymore whatever you sell. And you must also make moves in the social scheme, you must develop your debate abilities (I have debated with teachers, the hardest part is not being afraid and not stuttering), you could also print posters and flyers and paste them on walls (beware because there could be cameras, also remember to use gloves, you could leave fingerprints on the paper, the wall or the tape), this will get people attention, teachers could start searching for you so be very careful, you must also have a good reputation so people aren’t suspicious about you. I know you already tried to make this kind of "revolution" so your reputation is now lost but try to apply these ideas on other institutions or even your country if that is what you want.
This reminded me of the time we had a teacher that would literally act like a drill sergeant or something, he would interrupt us all the time, if we missed some detail it would directly be a 0, the highest mark he gave was a 5, he'd also make fun of the people who made a question and then saying "you should already know that", or threaten us because of our high tone of voice, even tho he was the one screaming. Our class was the first one to react to this treatment, by treating the teacher the same way he treated us, then we started encouraging other classes in which he had lessons to do the same. It all ended up on organizing our own strikes, but actual strikes in front of the main gates, and aprox 130 students wanting the teacher to get dismissed, and we made it
I did the same thing, although I almost got expelled, got called a Nazi, but all the students called me the “Dear Leader”. And even comforted me when I was making a speech. Good Times.

I Have a similar story in a sense, My school has a decently sized theater department, this year we have around 50 kids (Crew+Cast) who signed up along with a director who is a first year teacher and I essentially became Dictator of the theater program. So the story goes; last year I crafted a plan to take control of the program from the current stage manager who was in their senior year at the time (I was in 10th) our school does two shows a year a play in the fall and musical in the spring, so I threw my lot in with the director for the fall play, building up my trust with him making it seem as though my work was irreplaceable and through some careful manipulation made it seem that my only possible rivals (two very good friends of mine still to today) were unwilling to take up command next year. Not being the typical theater kid: myself extremely extroverted and “charismatic” as some say would dominate any conversation and generally begin to claw at more and more power and shift the spotlight away from the stage manager to me. My big break came when I was named assistant stage manager for the spring musical, the only thing was there was another ASM who absolutely hated me and the feeling was mutual, so I buried her reputation so far underground that to this day the theater department still talks about how much we hate her (I slightly regret this but meh) and so I took to my new role with hellish fury, I became the inspiring leader rather than those higher in the chain of command. Being far more comfortable around people and quick on my feet and intimidating in conversation I was able to hoodwink the entire department into falling in my column instead that of the stage manager. And why shouldn’t they follow me? After all “(insert name) actually advocates for the rest of us, he actually wants what’s best for us” Two days before the show I learned the current director would be leaving the program that year, so I moved quickly, I quietly spread the word to the rest of the crew and cast that “all they would have left is me” And so when this year rolled around when all the old teacher supervisors left for all new ones I was able to make it that I represented “The old way of doing things, the last of the old guard, the representation of the autonomy and drive of the theater program” against what I played off as a radical new administration. Now even the new director, someone far less extroverted and respected than even a freshmen listens to me. And so does everyone else, not even the current seniors chafe at a junior running the program which is unheard of in my schools history. So as such I consolidated the crews into my own vision, and the director saw how the crews follow me so that he has given me even more power. In fact people recognize this, it’s a joke that I’m a “Dictator” and people don’t care, because they want it. (In case you didn’t guess, incoming-politician) Currently I’ve begun running the show and it’s going perfectly
Here's a similar experience of mine. My High School has recently started to support more extra curricular activities, what with COVID screwing up in person interaction during school time. To oversee this project, several students including me decided to set up a (directly) democratic body to oversee these activities, as we did not trust the teachers to truly understand the students, while our representatives have had a bit of a negative track record regarding getting things done. Between just lacking the manpower, and some popular people running without any intention of actually working on anything meaningful but parties. Yet, the major pushback we've been receiving has been, out of all possible reasons, about our name "sounding too communist". Here where I live, such student bodies are usually called Collectives, which I guarantee sounds better in my native language, but we've renamed ourselves Committee because apparently the first name is even more "communist", despite being the traditional one. And while there are many Collectives that are ran by communists (we were in fact approached by a grouping of Trotskist ones), there are also several ran by fascists (which to be fair only makes the situation worse), and the majority are mostly apolitical. Anyway, now we are planning on having representatives affiliated to our group run for the elections, as we fear less than cooperative ones could cause all projects to grind to an halt. Especially since they've got they're own cut of the budget.
As someone from a country that doesn't have clubs I gotta say I'm extremely jealous they sound so much fun and the perfect way to meet people with common interests
I had something similar in my Primary School (UK school for ages 4-10). We had a small group of trees in one part of the school yard. Some kids in my class decided to start a "Republic" there and they wanted a standing military/police force to protect the Republic, because some other kids decided to do the same thing. So they invited me to become Marshall of the Armed Forces. We got attacked multiple times, there was even a failed rebellion. But the leader never knew that after just a few days I was actually the one calling the shots. In the end, I just walked up to him, with some of my soldiers, and told him his rule was up and that I was taking over. That's when the Republic turned into the Empire, and I essentially led multiple military conquests against all the other mock-civilisations, the longest running of which was actually led by a former minister in the Old Republic.
The best and most relatable video title I've seen in a long while Although it seems more like founding a new state, rather than a coup. I was expecting a juicy eviction and purge. Also, obligatory: my allegiance is to the Republic, to DEMOCRACY!

I'm glad to see I wasn't the only person who started a Coup d'état in my school to become an emperor. In my school, some of my friends and I started a revolutionary group to form an independent city state in the form of our school. We created an underground oligarchy at our school, however things never got that far and the revolution never got that far, didn't even get my Hussar in on time which sucked...
The attack on the US Whitehouse really wasn't a coup, sure by definition it was very loosely a coup but it was just a disorganised idiotic violent protest, it's not like the vice president of the USA tried overthrowing the president and was backed and co-ordinated like a proper coup

I think the truly coup-definining part of this is how much the soon-to-be chancellor disagreed and how the thing was settled through who could get to the teacher first. In other words, whichever army got to the royal palace first could hold the coronation.
You needed to strengthen the state with the conquest of another club's territory, or even better, get one of them to declare war on you. Just so long as none of them allied any athletic clubs, you should've won and cemented the History Club's authority in Europe- I mean, High School.
Oh my god. This is hilarious because I am a junior right now, and forming a history club in my high school. In the clubs laws (constitution) we had to write I did the exact thing by abolishing democratic elections and making my position as president impossible to change. For my VP I appointed my best friend and told her just to chill and I’ll work as VP through her as well. The cool teacher who is supervising is also called Mr H (no really). I hope some young upstart attempts to challenge my power. Love your vids.

Never had a coup occur, but I did go through a very vicious “war” against another friend group for control over the playground in 5th grade and a “civil war” in 6th grade when the dude who held our very divided clique together was about to leave the school. Fun times, with plenty of people going to the principle for death threats (no one ever actually fought)

This reminded me of that time in elementary school I became a puppet king for a massive complex of dug out sand bunkers. Unfortunately part of this bunker served as a concentration camp to rid the playground of grade 3 and lower. (Very dark holes dug below wooden playthingies). My reign only came to an end when some kids dug to deep and hit a water main. Forcing the teachers to invade and bulldoze the whole thing. Learned a lot about politics that month.
Man, always sounds like stuff just happens in other people's high schools. We had one kid get busted for drug dealing, one head butt a teacher, the school ban outside food and waste all it's funding on tvs. No social cliques or cool stuff or nothing

I had the opposite problem. I became premier of my Russian club in University and kept trying to leave after 2020 took the wind out of my sails. However, no one ran against me or would vote me out of office, so I became an unintentional dictator until I resigned.

The audience did NOT like that, but... both of the opposition candidates had already left the game and I was the only person they could pick, I exclaimed "SEE!! I ENDED THEIR SUFFERING" while they voted. Which I won, since they could only vote me. I became president of "the USA" in the roblox game for literally 10 seconds or so, then the next election started. At least I had a cool animation of my avatar signing a treaty while I served for 10 seconds.

@@kacek9196, no, but after Long was elceted governor, he ran the Louisiana state government with basically dictatorial powers. Sure, he used said powers to do good for Louisiana, like building an ungodly amount of roads, bridges, schools, hospitals, etc., importing oil into the city of Louisiana, funding night schools for people who never learned how to read, and making it so that college (or some other school level, I don't remember exactly) textbooks would be free. So, he was essentially a dictator of Louisiana, despite being very popular. But he certainly wasn't the last, seeing as how many Central American states and Mexico were dictatorships on and off throughout the Cold War.
I remember doing a similar thing in my class's mock elections. In a nutshell, I live in a multi-party nation and as such, my school had a fun project where there would be randomly picked leaders from the class to form a political party around them and run a campaign, debate with others and then, mock elections will happen.
I was picked as one of the party leaders and the ideology I was assigned was... communism. Well, let's just say that I ran with it. There were two classes in the same grade, so I did a thing, where I immediately merged with the second class's communist party and thus gained double the brain power over my competetors. Next, I retexted the internationalle and named it the "interclassionale" just for the lols.
The debates were fun. My country has had a communist government in the past until 1989, so most other parties stuck to the scheme of criticising them instead of my political programme, which allowed me breathing space in pointing out the hypocrisy and actually using so many funny logical fallacies to win.
The day of the election finally comes and it so happens, that me and other Commies showed up with hidden nerf guns and the votes were counted (we ended with 35% so we were the ones to be asked to form a coalition). We decided to go with the social democrats and populists (which both were much much weaker in results). The SocDem ppl were actually bribed by me and impeached their leader, in turn giving me the absolute majority, which in turn allowed me to do certain things alone.
We still needed the populists in the government, so we just decided to give them a list of things we will do if they agreed to the change in the constitution. Then, it was a smooth sail. First to happen was the reintroduction of death penalty, the second one was lowering the constitutional majority from 3/5 to 51%, allowing me to discard them in the process.
We just pulled them up and symbolically shot the leader of the opposition, the leader of the far right party and the leader of the second biggest party, proclaiming an unipartisan Communist dictatorship of the proletariat. The teacher actually let that happen and the next class was about how democracy is a slippery thing.
That's an awesome story. Probably the only thing that would have made it better would be if a mock civil war broke out afterwards. But that's just my preference.
This… this is what I should’ve done when I was President of my Middle School’s Student Council. I was previously the VP in 7th Grade, and won 2/3rds of the vote against a furry. The teacher in charge wouldn’t let us do anything useful for the school, only using us for votes on the School Advisory Committee. We were basically a rubber stamping body for the principal, who was an absolute autocrat.

The closest thing i ever did in primary school was helping inciting a "fight" with the next door class then self-proclaimed myself as Commander but with no support i.e. no one cares lol. The "fight" only last minutes but the "rivalry" last for pretty much the semester.

Reminds me of when I rigged my high school elections.
Basically, our high school was chosen to represent our state in Tunisia's kids parliament. I was popular enough to be in the top 5 candidates but the other 4 were seniors with a much better chance at winning. My solution was to rig the elections. Basically my friends went to cast their votes, then they went to the changing rooms to wear new clothes and then went back to cast other votes after an hour while looking like completly different people. One of my friends was also the son of the guy responsible for guarding the ballot box and we were able to distract him and sneak a few dozen votes as well. I bribed a few strangers with food as well but that wasn't THAT succesful. Eventually, there were 5 times as much votes as there were students in the school (apparently I wasn't the only one who tried that trick) and I came second. The school's administration didn't really care and just made him the school's representative with me being his vice-representative (which was basically a participation trophy).

I have two stories a bit like this that I want to share (They’re still ongoing but lol whatever)
1. Operation Blue Lotus (Because why not)
I’m a member of our school’s quiz club, and at the beginning of this year it was in shambles. All but two of the experienced members had disappeared into thin air. We tried to make a poster to recruit new members, but it got stuck in that laborious administration line.
So I found a kid who wanted to join the club and got her to send the poster around. Then I held weekly zoom sessions and started training them. All of this happened without permission from the principal, who’s an absolute dictator. So yeah.
Today (Oct 2nd) I’m taking them to their first quiz. The teacher in charge of the club is gonna find out when school restarts and I’m not sure how she’ll react. But she’ll have no choice but to relent and let me continue this eventually.
2. Operation Silver
I’m also a member of our school’s Model UN club. Here, the president and the committee know pretty much nothing about MUN. My best friend and I picked up some stuff from here and there, so now she’s the most experienced MUNer in the club.
This ‘coup’ was her idea. So the plan was to ask the president and co to find a coach or do _something_ , and if they say no, covertly contact the little kids in the club and hold some workshops ourselves using zoom or something. Eventually we’re either gonna do a grand reveal and convince them, or wait till they graduate and pick up the presidency ourselves.
For now they’ve agreed to do a workshop somehow, but we’re still ready for the coup if they don’t do it.
So yeah. Good stuff.

@Aliyan ✪ Same thing happened to me except the revolution had succed in some schools, Context : The school i go to is part of a christian education foundation, they have very stright rules when it comes to school works and such and this caused us to be burdened with alot of homework, this isnt that much of a problem at first but then covid came, As the teacher themselves had trouble with teaching online most of us were losing our learning rythme and were falling behind, which is worsen by the amount of homework we got. One day, together with students from other schools from the same foundation we organized one of the biggest student protest in that foundation's history, with a unique twist of holding it online, at first it started out as just some twitter hashtags but then the school reacted harshly and starts threatening students with lawsuits. This ended up backfiring because it caused our movement to be popular and we start getting more members, to organize things we start a discord group and at some point theres around 2000 members in it from all the schools in that foundation. Our petition consist of reducing the amount of homework and to respect national holidays (my school tends to ignore national holidays unless its a christian one, we live in a muslim country so we miss out on alot of holidays). Eventually some of the schools reduces its homework (with varying results) but they still didnt respect the national holiday. This is technically a success considering we didnt even have to march to our schools.
@Aliyan Hey I made the same thing, but mine lasted longer and I wasn't betrayed because I made some "movements" that U will share with you. Politics alone are not enough, you must make moves in the economy, you could start selling things (legal things, like food or school stuff), this will make people sympathize with you because now you provide something, so people will think twice about betraying or denouncing you because you will not provide them anymore whatever you sell. And you must also make moves in the social scheme, you must develop your debate abilities (I have debated with teachers, the hardest part is not being afraid and not stuttering), you could also print posters and flyers and paste them on walls (beware because there could be cameras, also remember to use gloves, you could leave fingerprints on the paper, the wall or the tape), this will get people attention, teachers could start searching for you so be very careful, you must also have a good reputation so people aren’t suspicious about you. I know you already tried to make this kind of "revolution" so your reputation is now lost but try to apply these ideas on other institutions or even your country if that is what you want.
And now you’re running a history club with 400k people in it. So I would call it an upgrade

This reminded me of the time we had a teacher that would literally act like a drill sergeant or something, he would interrupt us all the time, if we missed some detail it would directly be a 0, the highest mark he gave was a 5, he'd also make fun of the people who made a question and then saying "you should already know that", or threaten us because of our high tone of voice, even tho he was the one screaming. Our class was the first one to react to this treatment, by treating the teacher the same way he treated us, then we started encouraging other classes in which he had lessons to do the same. It all ended up on organizing our own strikes, but actual strikes in front of the main gates, and aprox 130 students wanting the teacher to get dismissed, and we made it
I did the same thing, although I almost got expelled, got called a Nazi, but all the students called me the “Dear Leader”. And even comforted me when I was making a speech. Good Times.

I Have a similar story in a sense, My school has a decently sized theater department, this year we have around 50 kids (Crew+Cast) who signed up along with a director who is a first year teacher and I essentially became Dictator of the theater program. So the story goes; last year I crafted a plan to take control of the program from the current stage manager who was in their senior year at the time (I was in 10th) our school does two shows a year a play in the fall and musical in the spring, so I threw my lot in with the director for the fall play, building up my trust with him making it seem as though my work was irreplaceable and through some careful manipulation made it seem that my only possible rivals (two very good friends of mine still to today) were unwilling to take up command next year. Not being the typical theater kid: myself extremely extroverted and “charismatic” as some say would dominate any conversation and generally begin to claw at more and more power and shift the spotlight away from the stage manager to me. My big break came when I was named assistant stage manager for the spring musical, the only thing was there was another ASM who absolutely hated me and the feeling was mutual, so I buried her reputation so far underground that to this day the theater department still talks about how much we hate her (I slightly regret this but meh) and so I took to my new role with hellish fury, I became the inspiring leader rather than those higher in the chain of command. Being far more comfortable around people and quick on my feet and intimidating in conversation I was able to hoodwink the entire department into falling in my column instead that of the stage manager. And why shouldn’t they follow me? After all “(insert name) actually advocates for the rest of us, he actually wants what’s best for us” Two days before the show I learned the current director would be leaving the program that year, so I moved quickly, I quietly spread the word to the rest of the crew and cast that “all they would have left is me” And so when this year rolled around when all the old teacher supervisors left for all new ones I was able to make it that I represented “The old way of doing things, the last of the old guard, the representation of the autonomy and drive of the theater program” against what I played off as a radical new administration. Now even the new director, someone far less extroverted and respected than even a freshmen listens to me. And so does everyone else, not even the current seniors chafe at a junior running the program which is unheard of in my schools history. So as such I consolidated the crews into my own vision, and the director saw how the crews follow me so that he has given me even more power. In fact people recognize this, it’s a joke that I’m a “Dictator” and people don’t care, because they want it. (In case you didn’t guess, incoming-politician)

My High School has recently started to support more extra curricular activities, what with COVID screwing up in person interaction during school time. To oversee this project, several students including me decided to set up a (directly) democratic body to oversee these activities, as we did not trust the teachers to truly understand the students, while our representatives have had a bit of a negative track record regarding getting things done. Between just lacking the manpower, and some popular people running without any intention of actually working on anything meaningful but parties.
Yet, the major pushback we've been receiving has been, out of all possible reasons, about our name "sounding too communist". Here where I live, such student bodies are usually called Collectives, which I guarantee sounds better in my native language, but we've renamed ourselves Committee because apparently the first name is even more "communist", despite being the traditional one. And while there are many Collectives that are ran by communists (we were in fact approached by a grouping of Trotskist ones), there are also several ran by fascists (which to be fair only makes the situation worse), and the majority are mostly apolitical.
Anyway, now we are planning on having representatives affiliated to our group run for the elections, as we fear less than cooperative ones could cause all projects to grind to an halt. Especially since they've got they're own cut of the budget.

As someone from a country that doesn't have clubs I gotta say I'm extremely jealous they sound so much fun and the perfect way to meet people with common interests
I had something similar in my Primary School (UK school for ages 4-10). We had a small group of trees in one part of the school yard. Some kids in my class decided to start a "Republic" there and they wanted a standing military/police force to protect the Republic, because some other kids decided to do the same thing. So they invited me to become Marshall of the Armed Forces. We got attacked multiple times, there was even a failed rebellion. But the leader never knew that after just a few days I was actually the one calling the shots. In the end, I just walked up to him, with some of my soldiers, and told him his rule was up and that I was taking over. That's when the Republic turned into the Empire, and I essentially led multiple military conquests against all the other mock-civilisations, the longest running of which was actually led by a former minister in the Old Republic.
That explains the "Emperor" part.

I'm glad to see I wasn't the only person who started a Coup d'état in my school to become an emperor. In my school, some of my friends and I started a revolutionary group to form an independent city state in the form of our school. We created an underground oligarchy at our school, however things never got that far and the revolution never got that far, didn't even get my Hussar in on time which sucked...

In the clubs laws (constitution) we had to write I did the exact thing by abolishing democratic elections and making my position as president impossible to change. For my VP I appointed my best friend and told her just to chill and I’ll work as VP through her as well. The cool teacher who is supervising is also called Mr H (no really). Never had a coup occur, but I did go through a very vicious “war” against another friend group for control over the playground in 5th grade and a “civil war” in 6th grade when the dude who held our very divided clique together was about to leave the school. This reminded me of that time in elementary school I became a puppet king for a massive complex of dug out sand bunkers. Unfortunately part of this bunker served as a concentration camp to rid the playground of grade 3 and lower. (Very dark holes dug below wooden playthingies).
