I had the same surgery by a cancer doctor in Gainesville, GA. The tumor was removed entirely. I do have Freyes Syndrome and no feeling in my left earlobe. I am blessed. I hope this young woman is having a beautiful life.❤
Dr. Osborne and Dr. Hamilton are amazing surgeons! My daughter had her Parotid gland removed her Freshman year of high school. It was a 4 cm benign tumor. Unfortunately, it grew back and her Medical Doctor kept telling her it was a cyst and wouldn't write a referral for an ENT doctor. She moved out of area as she is married to a US Navy man, and finally got to see another doctor(after 3 yrs of being put off). When she got her referral she had to go to 4 separate doctors. Prognosis wasn't good. There were multiple tumors and she had to go to the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlotte. On February 6, 2017, my 23 yr old daughter went in for surgery. Dr. Shonka removed 28 tumors. And had to dissect the facial nerve. She has Frey's Syndrome worse now than before, her taste buds are a mess. She had facial paralysis for months so she only drank liquids, and she endured 6 wks of radiation with multiple side effects. She suffers from depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts and has a scar that is very noticeable as a result of this. And it is now dimpled. I wish Dr. Osborne and Dr. Hamilton had been her doctors.
I pray for your daughter. I pray she finds joy and fulfillment in her life. I pray that surgeries will end and she will see her future in a different, more positive light. And I certainly hope my prayers are not too late. (Hugs)
Beautiful story!! I was a nurse for almost 20yrs before an injury. Seeing stories like this absolutely warm my heart and Spirit ❤️ blessings to the all involved.
The moment she said that she would sometimes meet with her youth group just to read the Word, I lost it...in a good way. God has blessed her with incredible maturity. Also, praise God for these doctors - may God continue to bless them!
I have a ton of respect for a doctor who prays before a surgery. It is humbling to see a doctor who depends on Gods guidance before they cut into someone. Thank you.
I don't have respect for the doctors praying before surgery, I have respect for their compassion to pray with the family before the surgery. Regardless of their own religious beliefs, when doctors take the time to pray with the family, it shows that they have true compassion. Whether they pray on their own or not, and whether they pray before every surgery or not is completely irrelevant when helping ease a family through a difficult time. Taking the time to pray with the family truly proves that they care and are not only concerned with the wellbeing of the patient, but also with the patient's family. These doctors earned the respect that they deserve!
Me too! I respect them praying with the family because my family does the same thing when there is someone having surgery! I sometimes cry during prayer! 🙏
Miracle workers on earth. Ashley you are a lucky young lady, thank you for posting this. It will help many people along the line. Very courageous team .
"The young one taught the old one a lesson"...very humble words from someone who's successful and well experienced in life. I wish every doctor has such passion.
So happy to see it went so well for her! I found it interesting that they said this is rare in children. I had a parotid tumor removed at age 13 which resulted in a damaged facial nerve and paralysis. It was devastating as an 8th grade kid to wake up and not have a smile, afraid you’d be ugly forever. I eventually got feeling and some movement back but not the ability to raise the eyebrow, fully shut the eye, or draw the cheek and corner of the mouth up into a smile. I had been the top trumpet player in my school band and was never able to play the instrument very well again. This was in 1980 in a smaller city so not nearly the technology or expertise of the surgeon. I had to have 4 more repeat surgeries over the next 15 years as it kept growing back. One of those was done without anesthesia because right after college I didn’t have insurance. The last one was in 1996 by a specialist at the university hospital in Denver and finally it did not grow back. Amazingly I have no visible scarring. I suspect the trigger for tumor was possibly related to having the mumps, a virus that causes severe parotid inflammation, at age 5. That illness left me totally deaf in the ear on that same side. I’m very blessed that it was only one side and that being so young I was fully able to adapt to my new normal.
I love listening to you and your feelings about what you do. I have worked with many surgeons, but many who are not as humble as yourselves. I admire the great work that you do. God bless you all.
I think Ashley is a very smart mature young lady who is going to go far in life! She has such a caring ,down to earth set of parents! I am so glad that her Mom found these Doctors for her!!!
Thank you Dr Osborne for going out on your own, creating such an amazing team, & supporting & encouraging them to think outside the box. I wish there were more practices that were as wonderful as OHNI. Not only are you an amazing surgeon but a great leader. So strong, patient, calming, and loving with a staff that seem to have your same values and high standards. Have a wonderful Christmas with your family. God bless.
Thank you Dr. Hamilton for all your expertise and your kindness as you assured that this young lady was given the best of your ability. God was encouraging you along.
You all rock! Born and raised in South Central L.A. Now in Sacramento, CA. Thank you making us all proud!!! May the BLEESINGS of the Lord rise up and over take you!!
Inspiring story, Thanks for sharing. Ashley must be an adult by now and I pray that she and her family are healthy and happy and have nothing but joy in their future.
I had this same surgery when I was 14, it was the size of a walnut. It was malignant. 13:45 That was 1966. In those days they just did surgery. Then in 1980 I found a little pea size tumor. I was 7 months pregnant with my first child. I had to wait until after the baby came to have a second surgery. Again it was malignant. This time I had radiation therapy which came with its own problems. I’m 72 now and I know God brought me through all this and I thank Him and trust him.
Similar to me. Mine was in 1963. I was 12. The original tumor had baby tumors coming off of it, going towards my spinal column. Original 3 doctors were there for the surgery, but 2 more were called in due to the complications. 5 1/2 hours spent in surgery. It was malignant as well. I was given only a 4% chance of living 5 years. Chemo was considered, but my parents decided against it. My breast cancer (1999) oncologist told me that the chemo of the 1960's was so strong that it probably would have resulted in my dying before I was 30. At 73 I am a 61 year parotid gland cancer survivor, a 25 years breast cancer survivor, and a 12 year thyroid cancer survivor. 🎉😅 Congratulations to you as well. We are both survivors!

Had this done about 20yrs ago, tumor in my cheek. Took Dr 8 hours to remove tumor because my nerves wrapped around it. It was cancerous but after chemo and radiation have been cancer free since. Glad your surgery was successful! God bless you all!
I went through the more invasive procedure when i was 15. I do have mild numbness and minor sweating behind my ear at times but i was blessed and had no paralysis and no cancer.
Me too. I was a teenager when I first noticed the lump just under my ear. Didn't get surgery for nearly 10yrs. (Long story) Some Freys syndrome (Face sweating) and indentation. No Bells Palsy (paralysis). So far so good.
I am so happy all went well with your surgery Ashley. What a sweet young lady you are. You are very blessed to have such a loving and supportive family. God was with the surgical team, you, & your family. Keep up your faith in God. He has great plans for you. Have a Merry Christmas. God bless.
@@donmoenmaina1268 it’s a lot of mental preparedness that goes into a decision to have this surgery, & it’s so important to connect with the team of surgeons. Their information is necessary for any future persons needing this kind of support! Having great faith in the doctors words are so important to the family as well as the patient. You need to expand your mind into all this procedure incubuses & it isn’t just the particular operation itself but the skill behind the team of Drs.giving their personal feelings as well.
I have the exact same thing at the moment. Waiting for a letter to come through to say when my surgery for the removal is. Scary business. Mine is huge and I'm only 19. I've had it for just over a year and it's got bigger and bigger. I'm also having my adenoids done at the same time. My whole face will be ugly for a while. She's so brave! Luckily too! I haven't got the option for the surgery she had. I've got to have the the surgery around the ear. Hope hers never comes back!
I kept putting kisses on the tip of my finger and then on Dr Ryan's and Dr Jason's cheeks as they expressed their faith and calm. Ashley is a real proof of faith. Her and her mother's calm was infectious. Thank God!
The message in this video is so on point and what Ashley and her family taught the doctors and staff is completely true. What she said about how she was feeling before surgery and how she felt at peace and that God was with her and guiding the doctors hands as they operated is what I felt and went through starting in 2010 when I had to have immediate surgery to protect my spinal cord and repair the damage done to my vertebrae and spine. It is because of God and him bringing the right people into my life at the right time that I am here alive and not a quadriplegic on a respirator. I had been walking around with multiple spinal cord injuries from a car accident 20 years ago I was repeatedly misdiagnosed, was put down and told it was all in my head and if I would exercise and lose weight I would be fine. I couldn’t exercise because the pain was so severe and my legs would suddenly give out. I had to use a rolling walker to get around. I was losing feeling in both my arms and legs and other parts of my body and every step was an electrical jolt going down my arms and legs and I would be in tear due to the pain. I had to take control and demanded my doctor order an MRI that proved that it wasn’t all in my head. My spinal cord was being impinged in 4 places and the nerves were being crushed and cut off . My Neuro surgeon said that first I shouldn’t be able to do any of the things I was doing with the level of damage seen on the MRI. He said I was literally one wrong move from death or being permanently paralyzed. I felt the same way as Ashley did going in to my first surgery I completely trusted my surgeon and knew that God was protecting me. Since then I have had 4spinal/brain surgeries and 14+ surgeries and surgical procedures not including the treatments for breast cancer that decided to complicate things over the last 8 years. Before 2010 I did have other surgeries and surgical procedures done where I didn’t feel at peace and I should have known that I needed to say no to having whatever done. One was a surgery for carpal tunnel that I didn’t have. Know your rights, research get second and third opinions, if it doesn’t feel right don’t do it.
Dr Osborne, you are amazing! Your level of compassion does show too. Thank you for sharing your God given talents with those who really do need help and have few alternatives.
What brilliant, kind and conscientious doctors. I can only hope that if my family found ourselves in a similar situation we’d be met with such an amazing team. ❤
Every clip where I see a Dr or other medical professional purposefully touch a patient fills me with relief and knowledge that I’ll be fine. The power of the human touch is beyond our ken
This docu series needs to be watch , lesson learned "Always trust and have strong faith in God "God is the healer and surgeons are only His instruments "family support and positive mental attitude is very important "
Excellent film here about this parotid gland tumor! Very well done! If I or somebody in my family were diagnosed with this, I would definitely get in touch with this Osborne clinic! Very impressed with Dr. Osborne and Dr. Hamilton! Thank you very much! And prayers and good wishes to the young lady who had this procedure done!!! And to her family!
In about 1950, Thomas Shallow, M.D., Gross Professor of Surgery, attended a conference at the Hospital of the Univ, of Penn. where it was stated that it was virtually impossible to remove large parotid tumors without damaging the facial nerve. He then returned to Jefferson and performed several in succession without facial nerve injury.
This was a God Moment. Thank you to the brilliance of Dr's Osborne and Hamilton and the team that brought this together. A wonderful inspired team, led by brilliant Medical Professionals. I can't help but feel there were many healings not only of Ashley, the young patient, but physically, spiritually and emotionally of Ashley's family members, and all those who shared this journey such as friends and relatives. Dr. Osborne said it all in the end. He had a beautiful comforting nature, and grace of intent. Blessings to all. I just thank God for this wonderful video and the healing of Ms. Ashley and All those affected either first hand or long distance. I believe in God' s ripple effect in our lives. Thank you Lord for your healings. We pray always in His Holy Name. AMEN,.........

Dr. Osbourne and Dr. Hamilton yous are the most Desirable Doctors of all time. I'm just a watcher!! From what I've heard and seen!! Yous are the best. I wish they could give yous an award-winning Gift. Thank you for being an wonderful Doctors.
I had this surgery about a week ago. I had a 2.5 cm Warthin’s Tumor removed. Fortunately I found an expert surgeon in Penn Medicine Philadelphia Head and Neck surgery that specializes in this. There are not a lot of surgeons skilled enough to do micro parodectomy with the modified Blair incision and muscle flap reconstruction like Dr. Osborne does. Recovery is going well, pain has been minimal, and I have been able to get back to my life no problem.
I found a very painful lump behind my ear. I was in my early 30s. I mentioned it repeatedly to our gp. He assured me it was likely a lymph node. By mid 40 there were times I considered removing it myself the pain was so bad. I was having recurring ear infections and mentioned to the ent how painful the lymph node was. He felt it set me up for a CT scan. He went over some of the possible outcomes, but from the position felt we had nothing to worry about. A few days later he removed the drain. 2 days my 18 year old son drove e back because my face had swolen up with liquid. I was shocked to see how much fluid was there. We were back again for my 1 week. He said we needed to talk. I knew what he had to say. I was 7 when my 13 year old uncle passed. My only thoughts were I needed to get my son out of the room, and I can't put my family through this. I had about 10 excuses to get my son out of the room, but he is not dumb. He refused to leave. Acinic Cell Carcinomia. A rare cancer my doctor had never seen before. He learned about it in med school. He said that the rest of the paritoid gland would need removal, increasing the chance of some paralysis.. Weeks worth of referrals. The swelling was no longer a problem. A small opening ripped at the base of my ear allowing fluid to escape. Yes it was disgusting and I kept tons of clean paper towels. This draining reduced the pain so I could think. My son and the doctor spent about 45 minutes looking up the cancer. I heard cancer and wondered how to tell my father and 98 year old grandfather we were going to go down this journey again. We live between two excellent cancer centers. The surgery was scheduled. Happy Valentine's Day. I give the anesthesiologist resident a ton of credit. I was terrified not for me but my family. I had 3 outcomes. 1 a bade slips and I blead out. 2 it has spread and more choices would need to be made. 3. 1st doc was correct his margins were good and the surgery would remove move lymph nodes and the entire parotid gland. Ending the constant fluid leaking out below my ear. 21 lymph nodes, and the glad we're all cancer free. The plastic surgeon did a great job. My neck is still stiff where they replaced the removed tissue. All scar lines are hidden in what I was assured would be wrinkles. Sadly he nailed it. My ear is sometimes numb. I after 6 years I can feel my face completely. The worst side effect occurred after the 12 inch drain was removed. It must have touched a nerve as it was pulled out. An hour later a pain radiated down my left arm. A few hours later I could not move it. I spent 8 weeks in physical therapy getting my arm working. God bless every one. My story could have ended differently
Dr Osborne is truely an angel. I did not have the insurance to see him but, I had a right parotidectomy 5 years ago at 30 in the deep lobe. I have had severe complications from the surgeon/resident who did mine. My tumor was back within 6 months. I did follow up with the Osborne Head and Neck Institute after this and I hope one day I will be able to be under their care. My surgeon here said the exact same . It was wrapped around and behind the facial nerve. It took 7 yrs for me to get surgery. I never got feeling back only severe nerve pain. You look amazing Ashley!
I am so in awe of Dr Osborne especially because he'll take on cases that most surgeons won't touch. I can't tell you the respect I hold him in.

Meiralora Duncan you are a warrior. i have so much respect for what you’ve endured. 🤍
That sweet girl. Bless her through her healing.
Dr Osborne, you are amazing! Your level of compassion does show too. Thank you for sharing your God given talents with those who really do need help and have few alternatives.
These 2 doctors are interested in the patients. Such compassion! God bless both.

Such humility. These doctors look and sound so nice, considering they're one of the best in their field.😊
Let go and let GOD.
Doctor, Sir, you are a hero!

Thank you all for what you do! God works miracles through each of your hands! Thank all of your nurses too, all who are involved. Thank you again!

This is what society ought to follow as the total embodiment of being a role model rather than a Hollywood celebrity!!
These surgeons are awesome what a great service they provide.
This was emotionaal to me! When Dr. Osborne, said " The Coach called and said you have to be back at practice!"

Dr Osborne, thank you for not giving up on patients as the Hippocratic oath states. SO compassionate....and brilliant!
Such caring, down to earth doctors! I love this website and pray for continued success for them and their practice!!
Kudos to the mom for researching the doctors and their experience.
Tnk you for sharing it here.
Fantastic video with wonderful Doctors and blessed results 🙏 AMEN!
