    It is very sad and disappointing that millions of Muslims and evangelical Christians cannot accept human evolution , decent with modification from common ancestors.

      Typical ignorant post from an ignorant person because you have no understanding what real science is.

    "English and Chinese began to split apart 20,000 years ago..."
    How can he know that?

      I think he means the english race. He would then be talking about human migration, which is pretty well documented.

      No, he was explicitly talking about languages.

      Your comment spurred me to look at some more videos starring Steve Jones. So I now found out that on average in every minute he is talking something is said that is nonsense. So I am not curious anymore on his assumptions about language :-)

    The different skin colors didn't evolve into existence and has nothing to do with the sun. The different skin colors are part of the genetic variation that has been in the population ever since humans were created.

      So if you had traveled to Africa several hundred years ago, how many indigenous people would you have seen that wouldn't have been very dark skinned? You do believe that the first humans evolved out of Africa, right?

    • @vesuvandoppelganger
      @vesuvandoppelganger 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Humans didn't evolve into existence. Most likely people were created in various locations around the world. They were geographically separated from each other and so developed their own languages. That's how the different languages came into existence. Several hundred years ago there probably weren't very many indigenous people in Africa that weren't dark-skinned.

      @@vesuvandoppelganger evidence shows humans came out of Africa, probably from several areas, and the vast majority of biologists claim that evolution was the path. You can disagree, but you're most likely wrong.

      It appears that the vast majority of biologists aren't very smart since they can't figure out that evolution is impossible.

    the reason why these people still get criticised is that their theory only goes so far - please mr jones have more respct for the 'naive listener' who can see that evolution does not go beyond itself - yes its an obvious point but certain of your colleagues seem to think otherwise -evolution does not go beyond evolution, it does not touch on so many other aspects of life which we need answers to and which it does not even try to begin to touch upon = GET BACK IN YOUR PIGEON HOLE! - also we do not comminuate solely by language - what about music, dance, painting, photos? all are mediated by the unconscious, language is but one expression of it (like I said it is entering other disciplnes outside of Biology)

      It is amazing how these so-called evolution scientists completely fail to add reason to their thinking. Even ordinary folks with a good measure of common sense clearly see how so stupid this theory of evolution is.

    I just think interesting he gave the example of the soap factory machine and algorithm to compare with the eye, because these two required intelligence to create something better or find the best outcome, so could a theory about the eye be that someone intelligent created it to be that way? I'm not saying that has to be a fact, just accept it could be a possibility or theory made about it, and the ones who do spend years working on these research an theories are being mocked by many of the academy of science, all the while, more and more agree in private there's a ground for the question, and several accepted claim in science are questioned more and more today. Just saying.
