Oxpecker cleaning a buffalo’s nostrils and ears!

- The African Buffalo is known to be a grumpy animal, but this very tolerating buffalo allowed a Yellow-billed Oxpecker some time to clean its nose. Oxpeckers are know to follow large herds of buffalo where they spend their time checking all the nooks and crannies on the animals skin for ticks - this includes the ears and some nostril inspections!
This was oddly very satisfying to watch.
😆
I should’ve never watch the crow picking ticks vid.
Search for deer crow ticks 😄
😂😂😂😂 same
that's how they got me too, here i am
guilty as charged lol
😂😂😂😂😂
Nothing goes to waste in nature.
Dude can't pick his own nose but cleverly figured out a way to get it done. And the bird gets a free meal
Nice to see that even animals have their own groomers.
Hell birds can even been seen taking shed from animals fur for their nests
such cool symbiosis, the ox is a large machine requiring constant maintenance
cape buffalo
@@jasongoen6298 Oh shoot, my bad, thank you for the correction. Just saw the name oxpecker and rolled with it.
Technically speaking , it's mutualism, mutualism is ecological interaction in which both party benefitted, in symbiosis at least one party is benefitted and some symbioses cause harm to one party, but in mutualism none of party get harmfully affected, you can resort to google for in depth detail.
Technically speaking, many texts define mutualism as a type of symbiosis. So symbiosis is correct.@@user-nv3zy2mu1p

beautiful buffalo
What a snotty meal , and then earwax for dessert. lol.

😂😂😂
You would think that little bird wouldn't be able to fly with an Oxpecker
😅 I laughed too hard at this
@@user-wm7jh7uk5t I'm glad you enjoyed it😁 I like making people laugh especially nowadays
That's a good one 😂
It shows how little of this has to do with intelligence and how much of it has to do with natural selection and pure instinct when the bird has no clue to stay way from the eyes of the buffalo. The bird instinctively knows where the food is but still not clear of where the (should be obvious) no go places are.
all you can eat ticks buffet 😂
Blood filled ticks and snot, the breakfast of champions.

Would you mine to kiss this bird they are adorable 😂

All creatures have a role both big and mighty and tiny. Cows/Buffalo are itchy creatures in general and probably love the feeling og it.
Imagine you can’t go anywhere without a bird trying to pick at your nose.
was gonna say this reminds me a lot of my cat, I have woken up more than once to him licking my eyeball
Ave y búfalo inseparables ❤❤ que bonito ☺️ 😊
So cute
Discusting
@@michelinaitema5576 you mean "disgusting"
Well, it can be both actually.
If it ain't bad enough they call him an oxpecker, his job is to dig out boogers.
What a delicious dessert that bird got!!😋😋😋😋😋😊

On one hand, nature is very kind but very cruel on the other hand.
Конечно, мир и не должен быть добрым
For you peasants who don't know, this is called symbiosis.

please get out with that. you cant just trap animals in factory farms and think that you will magically fly to heavens just because you believe in a god. your ancestors cheated in wild game and your still cheating and you dont feel guilty about it. instead you cover your damages with religion.
It is ticks, in the nose.

@ 0:44 - when you can't tell if the bird is wiping the blood off it's beak, or if it's actually coloured that way...
they seem to be a nuisance
They can annoy certain animals, but some individuals are perfectly happy to have them. It is beneficial to them :)
@@thenatureboxfilms I think they are now viewed to be parasitic by most.
Well we can't get extinct them because the ticks could do more harm and they looking for food as well please keep that in mind
@@stellarwind1946yeah there's some debate over this. They have absolutely been observed occasionally keeping wounds open to drink the blood although I don't think it's a universal behavior
@@stellarwind1946I'm not doubting you, per se, but I really don't think any birds can be parasitic. A parasite is something that dies without its host.
