    Good video from Josh. And props to Ricky for the brochure idea. Appears to be gold. Have thought about that myself but never acted upon it.

    Love the interview, one question I have for him is does he deal with franchise agreements? Sounds like Republic is where he's at, so wondering if he's had pushback from the Big Guys?

      He said where he is at, it's an open market. No franchise agreements with the cities. They tried a couple times he said but every time, all the dumpster owners literally protested!

      @@AmericanAFDumpsters good hear they stood together like that. We need to figure something out like that in my area cause it is getting ridiculous with Republic.

    That's some killer numbers 0 to 100 in 2 years. I thought I did pretty good at up to 30 dumpsters In 2 years. I did basically the same thing at targeting my past costumers and letting them know that I could take care of their dumpster needs.

      So many people are focusing on the fact that he went in and told the customers he would:
      1. Beat his competitors price by in most cases 10%
      2. Provide them better customer service
      I think that’s a business decision each of us have to makeS. It’s not dirty, it’s not low down. It’s business.
      Lots of negative comments on the 101 FB page. It’s a shame honestly and sad to see. I get what they are saying somewhat, but I looked at what WM charges in my area for a 20, 30 and 40 yard. I can definitely charge way less than they do and make a very good profit!!!

      I'm self employed but nothing to do with dumpsters. No sense in worrying about what anyone else thinks. We all have to do what's right for each of us and one of the fastest ways to pry into a new market is with lower prices and better service. The same guy talking smack to the lower priced guys probably did the same thing 10 or 20 years ago when they first went into business and now that they are established, they think they own the market.

    So he’s changing the $500 per dumpster plus the $50 fuel surcharge. What about dump fees

    • @pappavoodoo4166
      @pappavoodoo4166 ปีที่แล้ว

      He said he doubles the dump fee. If it's 30 at the dump he charges 60

    So basically this guy is going around and cutting everybody's throat. Helll of a business model until it happens to you. This guy is why the prices of rolloff cans keeps going down.

    • @treeamigo8447
      @treeamigo8447 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Those same businesses won't think twice about cutting your throat. If you can provide a better service for a better price, that's called capitalism. Are you not a capitalist?

    • @AmericanAFDumpsters

      WM in my area charges:
      20 Yard - $755.83
      30 Yard - $802.95
      40 Yard - $1075.01
      Can I beat those prices?? F yea!!!! See most people are talking and complaining about how Ricky went in there and charged less. He damn right should be able to charge less!! His overhead is less!!!! Way way less! If he can’t beat the big boys pricing he’s doing something wrong!! There’s nothing wrong with that!

      @@treeamigo8447 Been in the rolloff business for over 30 years. Get back with me after you have been in business 10 years, or 20 years or 30 years.Lots of rolloff companies cut the throat of their competitors and that' what drives the price down instead of keeping prices rising along with everything else in the construction industry. The costs for doing a rolloff are fixed. The only thing you're cutting is the profit.

      It sounds like he undercut in the beginning to get his name out there and now sets his price. That actual a business move if done the way he did it. I did the same thing with moon bounces now I'm more expensive then my competitors
