She does wonderfully and keeps herself moving, but I wish she had someone that understood her pain and hardships in the same way you two have each other. Much love to Janiece, I had my gallbladder out 12 years ago now (geez, feel old saying that!) and it's been so much better not having one... it was a nightmare before that. It always feels wonderful to have supportive friends around you, and I'm so glad you guys can offer that to each other :)

Bless her heart! I've had over 2 dozen surgeries and procedures and my gallbladder surgery was by far the worst surgery I've ever had! I ended up back in the hospital 3 days after surgery in such severe pain I literally thought I was having a heart attack. I hope and pray her recovery is much easier than mine was! I wouldn't wish that kind of pain on my worst enemy!

This is a friendship I want to have. My friends don't understand my illnesses One friend has bad mental illnesses so we connect there I still love the few friends who care and don't tell me I'm faking it.
I've dealt with that before hun. Do you need someone to talk to? I would be happy to do that. Heck I could even start a chronically ill support group on Facebook if it's something you are interested in. I'm any case I am here if you need to talk.

I have a very small amount of friends, but none of them fully (some not at all) understand my illnesses or what I'm going through, why I am the way I am, etc etc. I also have had many negative experiences with doctors. They keep telling me there's nothing they can do, they refuse to do testing to figure out what's going on, and so on. My psychiatrist keeps telling me to go to work even though I'm on disability because I have a hard enough time even leaving my apartment, plus he wants me to volunteer on top of that, go to counseling and group therapy which neither are possible or likely to be beneficial because I physically am incapable of talking 95% of the time, and so much more. He gets very rude and unprofessional sometimes too, but changing doctors isn't an option, and I've seen so many that are the same it seems pointless anyway, so I just have to deal with it as long as possible. As Irony level:expert said, I am happy to talk to you if you need someone any time that understands what it's like. Take care, and feel better!

Also, there's an online support group I used to go to a lot when I needed it called depressionconnect.com. despite the name there's many people with many different illnesses on there, and a good majority of the people I spoke to back then were pretty nice. It's great to get help while being able to help others at the same time.
I never had a friend to be with me through my stays in the hospital but now I have my girlfriend. She's always there. She makes me happy even on my worst days.
I have that kind of chronic illness friend too. They're such a blessing. It was so nice of you to be there for her when she needed you. Me and my friend are kinda like the younger you and Janice except I don't have all of your conditions but I have POTS, and use a walker, and vlog and am always there for my chronically ill friend and she's always there for me. :) I'm in high school though.

Hey Jaquie and Janice!! Hope all is well with recovery!! Jaquie, I wanted to let you know I'm so excited I got my walker on wheels with a seat, like yours, only blue!! My insurance has a certain allowance up to $500 for DME items so everything was covered in full!! It's been so needed bc of instability, falls, and difficulty with standing while shopping. Plus, not too much TMI, but I also got a much needed shower chair. They gave me a stool, but hey, I'll take it! Standing and sitting down in the tub have become way too dangerous. So, I have been blessed twice! Anyway, just wanted to let you know my good news and again, I do certainly hope Janice is feeling better and the pain subsides!! 😘
Gallbladder removal. No fat for a long while gives time to heal. That's what my doc told me. It helped. Heal fast sending prayers your way. You are great friends, does my heart good to watch you two. You are like sisters. God Bless.,

I'm having my gallbladder removed and I have POTS. So I'm a little nervous! I have my surgeon consultation on Tuesday. Getting nervous, especially since my Vanderbilt POTS doctor just changed my meds a few weeks ago!
Janiece has POTS as well. It did flare a bit but she has been able to spend a lot of time resting in bed, which has helped. The meds also put her to sleep so that has been beneficial to healing (:
Everyone is different. Some in and out surgerys are easy and heal fast others take longer. It depends. Personally I heal slower but you need the surgery and you will be better
Jeanice looks amazing for having had surgery a day ago. I looked like hell for a week after mine. I know what you mean about seeing someone making you feel better.
Hey Jaquie!! I wanted to share my Gallbladder removal tips for Janiece!! I hope she is feeling well!!! Obviously we all have different medical needs but these were just little things that helped me so I hope something is helpful!! Yogurt in the morning or a protein shake, which is better. I suggest the Carnation breakfast one with the extra protein in it. I had a hard time meeting some nutritional needs. After that I ate a loooot of soup at the beginning. Ones with rice and meat and a lot of vitamins provided. For dinner I could do something lean protein wise (I'll explain that below) and vegetables. Again, I had a hard time not getting sick so I had to really ensure that I was getting my nutrients. I suggest keeping Imodium literally everywhere. I had it in my purse, apartment, car, desk at work, and at my parents house. Tums were also helpful! I had to avoid anything spicy, fatty (including excess butter or olive oil, not just meat), or heavy in carbs. For example I could eat sushi but I couldn't have like a whole serving of rice or a pasta based dish. Potatoes were great! I didn't have many an issue with dairy. For protein, I really had to avoid fatty cuts. I could eat lamb, lean beef (occasionally but in small amounts, like once a week), fish was my saving grace, and eggs! Bread, pasta, rice, and cereal made me so sick in the morning but if I had a teeny bit about dinner time it was okay. I had a super low alcohol tolerance. Also, drink a lot of water!! If you're having a hard time with food and notice you can't have much but soup, I would keep some pedialyte around. They make popsicles which taste fine. I like the strawberry juice but I have friends who like grape, so it's personal preference. If you hate all of it, the clear one is well disguised in orange juice.
Gallbladder removal was how I got gastroparesis (or so they think), they think they nicked my vagus nerve, plus I got pancreatitis also from the surgery and had to be in the hospital for two weeks 😭 I hope Janice has a way better experience than I did haha
Gallbladder surgery was horrible I got so so sick after it and my mom would not take me to the hospital and I felt like death and then I couldn’t use the restroom for like a day and a half and that sucked it took me forever to recover and then I got an allergic reaction to whatever stitches or glue they used and just horrible pain after surgery

I had a laparoscopic cholecystectomy in March 2016 at 23 years old! Just to help give an idea!!
Hope she gets better. I had my gallbladder removed back in 2013 and it was pretty painful afterward.
I wish I knew you lovely young ladies in real life. I have MS which is a chronic illness and i am going to get tested for Crohns as well.

Gallbladder removal was how I got gastroparesis (or so they think), they think they nicked my vagus nerve, plus I got pancreatitis also from the surgery and had to be in the hospital for two weeks 😭 I hope Janice has a way better experience than I did haha
Gallbladder surgery was horrible I got so so sick after it and my mom would not take me to the hospital and I felt like death and then I couldn’t use the restroom for like a day and a half and that sucked it took me forever to recover and then I got an allergic reaction to whatever stitches or glue they used and just horrible pain after surgery
I had my gallbladder taken out. Give yourself about 2 weeks before the pain starts to subside.
