The kato packages and trains are amazing, I have not owned a kato train yet, but I do use the track, and I love it, no connection problems and the joints are smooth. I was the same way, I had to touch it see it feel it out, I couldn't envision it on paper. But I did use paper copies of the track to help.
Hey Darth those ICEe trains are nice. You would like Anthony Dodge the Model Outsiders channel. He does nothing but German highspeed . Kato makes some cool sets like these. I like the Japanese Highspeed Twilight.
